Is everything really so perfect as it seems to be?
(Segment 17)

Hello, I’m back. Thank you for all your comments and support. I’m glad that you all are liking the way the story is shaping up.

Well, sorry for such a late update. I was first of all short of ideas for a romantic segment and moreover I didn’t get the time too. Also, this ain’t the romantic segment you all had been waiting for. I’d be surely back with a romantic segment soon but, can’t promise for the next segment itself.

Here is the link for the previous segment:

This segment is in Kunj’s voice. Hope you all aren’t getting confused with the way I’m writing.

Anyways, are you all eager to read this segment? Let’s continue.

I followed Twinkle as she ran into our room. I entered the room and closed the door behind me. She turned around to look at me and asked, “Kunj, why did you close the door?” I genuinely smiled at her and motioned towards her. “Kunj”, she called out as I held on to her waist and pulled her closer to me. “Yes darling?”, I asked kissing her left cheek. She turned pink and lowering her gaze muttered, “Leave me.” I kissed her other cheek and whispered, “No.” “Kunj”, she exclaimed and hugged me tightly resting her head on my chest. I lifted her head and smiled looking at her as she turned completely pink. “Twinkle”, I whispered. She pushed me back as I held on to her hand and both of us fell down on the bed beside each other. I smiled and wrapping her arms around her waist pulled her closer to me. She tried to free herself but, I tightened my grip and moved closer to her. I was about to kiss her when suddenly the door bell rang. She quickly freed herself and stood up settling her hair. “Twinkle, wait”, I shouted as she hurriedly ran downstairs. “She’ll drive me crazy”, I muttered and ran downstairs.

I came down to the hall as I saw maa and di settling down on the sofa. I frowned and walked over to them. “Twinkle, are you okay?”, maa asked. “What happened..”, Twinkle was about to complete when I squeezed her hand and said, “Ya.” “Okay. By the way, the marriage dates are fixed for the next month so we planned to go for an outing with Leela ji and Yuvraj now to the farmhouse. We’ll return tomorrow”, maa asked. “Maa, I think Twinkle needs some rest for the day”, I replied but, Twinkle shook her head in a no and said, “I’m alright.” I frowned as she added, “When are we leaving?” I felt disgusted and while checking my phone said, “I’ve an important meeting to be attended today. You all carry on. I won’t be able to come.” “Kunj”, maa said trying to convince me but, I interrupted her and replied, “It’s really important. You all carry on.” I left Twinkle’s hand with a jerk as she looked at me shocked. I went upstairs as maa and di continued talking while Twinkle excused herself and followed me.

I entered the room and was about to close the door when Twinkle entered and asked, “Do you really have a meeting?” I ignored her and picked up my files from the table. “Kunj, I’m talking to you”, she said while I continued ignoring her. I was about to go out of the room as Twinkle held my wrist and calmly asked, “Kunj, what happened?” I turned around and said, “Why don’t you understand that I want to spend some time with you? I was handling the situation right? Who told you to speak in between?” Twinkle smiled and wrapping her arms around my neck whispered, “Why are you so desperate?” I rolled my eyes and said, “I need to attend the meeting.” “Fine. I thought we could spend time together at the farmhouse but, since you’re so busy then I won’t stop you. Go”, she replied moving back. I pulled her closer by her waist and whispered, “The meeting is cancelled.” She hit on my chest and hugged me tightly. I smiled and hugged her back.
