“Confrontation….”

Author’s POV:-

Vansh looks around the hall to find it empty. He hears some giggling sound and following it, came to the kitchen. He looks in and saw Riddhima tickling Arjun, who was sitting on the slab. A smile crept on his lips seeing them.

Moving to them, he saw Arjun and Riddhima looking at them. Ignoring Riddhima, he smiles at Arjun. Riddhima looks at him and then moves to the refrigerator and took out the bottle of peanut butter and came back to Arjun.

Arjun: Papa, Come…

He said looking at Vansh. Riddhima shocked looks at Arjun but didn’t said anything to him.

Riddhima: Arjun, have it and let’s go we are going for shopping.

Arjun turns and looks at Riddhima who hands him his plate. He nods and saw her leaving. He saw as Vansh came to him and keeping his hand around the slab leans close to him.

Arjun: Papa…Is Mumma angry with you?

Arjun asks and Vansh gets back to his normal position hearing it. He looks at him not knowing what to answer him.

Vansh: Why would she be?

He saw as Arjun looked back, following his gaze he saw Riddhima entering her room. Arjun looks back at him.

Arjun: She didn’t wished you.

Arjun looked at Vansh who didn’t said anything.

Vansh: Leave all this, have it fast. You need to go for shopping also right.

Vansh moves to fridge and taking out the bottle passed it to Arjun.

Vansh was sitting on his couch closing his eyes, when he heard a knock on his door. He opened his eyes and found Sejal in front of him. He didn’t bothered to get up and raising his eyebrows looked at her.

Sejal: Woah Vansh Angre must have told you why they are here?

Sejal asked and looked at him as he passed her hmm.

Sejal: Are you not angry?

Sejal asked and saw him looking at her.

Vansh: That was my mistake and I agree she claims it now, because it’s her and I’ll look further into it.

Vansh told her in calm tone and she nodded knowing why to play with his patience and calmness.

Sejal: I want to say something. It’s urgent.

Vansh just passed her hmm asking her to continue.

Sejal: Woah before you went to jail. We were engaged. So now…..

Sejal said and moved few feet backwards and looks at Vansh shocked as he didn’t even get up nor looked back at her.

Vansh: So now?

He asked in the normal calm tone. Sejal gulped down the saliva formed in her throat.

Sejal: So we’ll have to get married.

She said and licked her lips scared. Vansh opens his eyes and keeping his hands in his pants’ pockets looked at her. She didn’t showed any reaction to him further.

Vansh: I agree. What’s the date as you must have taken it out?

He asked and she just looks at him.

Sejal: 5 days from now.

She said. He nodded and moved out from there leaving her shocked over there. She closed her mouth in excitement.

Sejal: He agreed so easily.

She frowns thinking but then shrugging off his thought left the room. Coming down he looked as Vansh was talking to Arjun while Riddhima was talking to Kabir. She eyed Riddhima and descending the stairs came to Vansh and Arjun.

Arjun: Papa… Let’s go. Please!!

He exclaimed in excitement. Sejal looked at him shocked on hearing him calling Vansh as papa and Vansh didn’t bothered to say anything to him. She didn’t said anything to Arjun as he was just a 5 year kid.

Vansh: Arjun, I have some work. I’ll come some other day. Go and enjoy with your Mumma.

Arjun showed him his puppy eyes. Vansh chuckles at him and nods at this. Arjun hugged Vansh in excitement and then moves to Riddhima.

Riddhima looked at Kabir in disbelief.

Kabir: Riddhima I can’t do. Please leave me.

He said slowly looking at her trying to convince her.

Riddhima: Kabir shut up. You’re going to do and we’re leaving.

Riddhima said and before he could say further she stops him as she saw Arjun coming to him. Getting down on his level she looks at him.

Arjun: Mumma, let’s go. Even Papa is coming with us.

Riddhima looked at Vansh who was ignoring her. Vansh felt her gaze on him. He looked when he saw her turning back to Arjun. Ruffling her hands through Arjun’s hairs, she nods.

Arjun smiles at her.

Riddhima: Go and sit in the car. I’m coming.

Riddhima said saw him as he ran to Vansh, who after hearing him lifts him and moved out of the Mansion. Riddhima got up and looks at Kabir who was thinking something deeply and mumbling something to himself. Leaning close to him she heard him.

Kabir: I’m going to spoil this plan.

She shakes him out of the river of thoughts.

Riddhima: Kabir, Go and do as I had said. And where are rest?

She asked him and he looks around.

Kabir: Ishani and Aryan had went for shopping as tomorrow is their marriage. Angre and Siya, I guess they must have gone somewhere.

She nods at him and looks at Sejal who was sitting on the chair. She was about to move out of the Mansion when they heard her voice.

Sejal: Riddhima.

Riddhima turns around and looks at her as she came to her.

Sejal: Actually you all are going for shopping. Do me a favor as after 5 days I and Vansh are getting married. So can you come early? I have to go with Vansh also for shopping.

Sejal asked and Riddhima ignoring her looks at Kabir, who closed his fists in anger. She passed her a nod and left from there. Kabir looked at Sejal throwing angry glares at her.

Riddhima gets in the car and looks at Vansh who was talking to Arjun while Arjun was sitting on the back seat. She didn’t looked back again at Vansh as he started driving while Arjun was continuously talking to him. Vansh smiles at his questions as till yesterday he wasn’t even talking to him and now.

Sejal was walking through the corridors while playing with her ring and being in some deep thoughts just when she felt something hard hits on her head and before she could turn around and see what it was. Everything blacked out in front of him, she closes her eyes.

As soon as Sejal gained her consciousness, she blinking tries to clear her vision. Looking around she found herself in her room. Fear ran down her spine and she started sweating. Trying to get down from the bed, she found herself tied to it.

Panicking she tries to free herself and move out when her eyes fell on the chair where Kabir was sitting. Getting a sign of relief, she takes a deep breath and mumbles his name. Remembering he must have done, she glares at him.

Sejal: What the hell Kabir? Remove them right now.

She asks him and he didn’t even looked at her. She tries to untie the ropes when she looked at him.

Sejal: When did you started kidnapping even?

She asked trying to play with his calmness. He looked up at her and then chuckled slowly.

Kabir: Just half an hour before.

He got up and moved to her. Coming close to her he bend down to her level.

Kabir: But when did you started be this cheap?

He asked her and slowly untie her ropes. She looked into his eyes.

Kabir: Let me tell you 5 years back. How can you be this cheap to betray your own friend?

Kabir said and holding her arm made her stood up. She removes his hold.

Sejal: Shut up and move aside.

Sejal was about to move out when he pulled her and holding her through her waist made her look into his eyes.

Kabir: Stop ignoring our questions. Tell me how can you? And on top you are going to marry her husband? Good achievement Sejal.

He looks as her eyes welled up in tears while she was wriggling in his hold.

Sejal: Kabir, I said leave me.

Sejal said taking back her tears and looked at him. He tightened his grip on her and forcefully made her look at him without breaking the contact.

Kabir: Why so? Answer me and then you can go. Tell me where this side of yours was when we were in Darjeeling? For more than 10 years we all were together right, then how come these thoughts came into your mind?

He asked and she forcefully pushed him.

Sejal: Be in your limits Kabir, and you’re asking me where is your shame when you are with Riddhima for more than 5 years? Every day, every night, every time, every second. I see you around her. Why so? And when I’m getting married to Vansh. What issue are you having? I don’t feel anything is wrong. They are divorced.

Kabir looked at her in utter disbelief and ruffling his hands through his hairs, he looked back at her.

Kabir: Fine, you’re issue is why I and Riddhima are roaming around together. You want to know why?

He asked and she diverted her gaze from him and looked aside.

Kabir: Because we’re soon getting married.

He asked and saw her as she looked at him shocked. He smirked and moved to her. But she moved backwards and then stops him.

Sejal: Then there shouldn’t be any questions on this topic.

She tells him and was about to move when she heard him.

Kabir: Sejal as you said after 5 days, you and Vansh are getting married. Then why not I and Riddhima should also get married. How’s the idea?

He asked and she craning her neck back looks at him to see him facing his back to her.

Sejal: Will Riddhima agree?

She asked in calm and low tone on which Kabir smirked and turned back.

Kabir: Why not she is my would-be wife?

Sejal turns back and looks at him.

Sejal: You can’t force her.

She said and he came close to her.

Kabir: Really Sejal, don’t utter that word from your mouth. You forgot you were the one who forced Riddhima to leave Vansh. Don’t tell me you didn’t do anything. At least being her future husband, she told me this much.

Sejal looked at him and then took a deep breath.

Sejal: I want to talk to her

She heard and saw him taking out his phone. He scrolled through his phone and dialing to Riddhima kept the phone on speaker.

Riddhima: Yes Kabir.

He heard Riddhima say on the call he looked up at Kabir

Kabir: Riddhima, if I and you will get married on the same day, same mandap as Vansh and Sejal will. Do you have any issue?

Kabir asked and looked at Sejal smirking.

Riddhima: Definitely, ask her and start the arrangement.

Riddhima said and Kabir passed her hmm.

Sejal: I’ll do.

Kabir heard her and she was again about to go when she heard Riddhima’s voice.

Riddhima: Sejal, do me a favor also. Skip all the other rituals. That will be done afterwards.

Riddhima said and disconnected the call without letting her speak. Kabir kept his phone back and passed her a smile.

Kabir: Now go and do the arrangement. After all I’m the second owner of this mansion.

Kabir asked and moved from there. She looked back at his retreating figure and left from there in anger.

Next day, Vansh enters in Arjun’s room and looks at him and Kabir playing video games lying on the bed.

Vansh: Kabir, move out.

Kabir looked up at Vansh as he heard him.

Kabir: Why so?

Kabir asked and again looked back at the video game.

Vansh: Stop being a kid and move out. Look after the arrangements.

Vansh said and snatched the remote from him.

Kabir: Let’s go Arjun.

Kabir smiling looked at him while he was looking at both of them one by one.

Vansh: I asked you to leave.

Vansh said and sat on the bed. Kabir looked as Arjun didn’t came to him so he left from there. Vansh saw him leaving and looks at Arjun who was looking at him.

Vansh: What?

He asked and saw him coming to him. He stood up.

Arjun: Why are you so tall?

Vansh chuckled and got up.

Vansh: Come let’s get you ready for the marriage.

Vansh said and moved to the cupboard.

Arjun: My clothes are in my and Mumma’s room. This is Kabir Chachu’s room.

He said and got down from the bed moving to Vansh he held his hand and pulled him with him.

Coming out Vansh followed him as he stopped in front of Riddhima’s room. Arjun pulled him inside Vansh came in and looking around find Riddhima playing with her locket which she was wearing while reading a novel. He chuckles lightly gaining her attention.

She looked up and saw Arjun with Vansh. She saw as Arjun moved to the cupboard holding Vansh’s hand and asked him to take out his clothes. Vansh smiled at him and took out his clothes, Riddhima looked back into the novel peeping at them.

Vansh: This one?

He asked showing the red one on which he shook his head.

Vansh: Then?

He asked and Arjun moved to Riddhima.

Arjun: Mumma, help. Please.

Riddhima heard him and looked at him.

Riddhima: Take red one only that will suite you.

She said and he ran back to Vansh.

Vansh: So which one?

He asked seeing his smiling face.

Arjun: This only, now help me to wear it Papa.

He asked and stood up on the couch looking at Vansh who came and made him dress up.

Riddhima looked at Vansh who was standing with Arjun through teary eyes, as she saw Aryan and Ishani taking phera around the holy fire. She wiped her tears and forced her smile.

Kabir: Riddhima, as Sejal agreed now what?

She looked at Kabir and then to Sejal.

Riddhima: Let’s go as per the plan.

She said smirking.

Kabir: You mean we are going to marry in real?

She blinked her eyes at him while throwing the flowers on Ishani and Aryan.
