Truth
Author’s POV:-
Sunrays falling on the mountains covered with snow gave it an eye catching look. Piercing in through the glass window pane, sunrays fell on the edge of the bed. Giving a king sized bed an enchanted look. As soon as the warmth of sun started hitting his face, he opened his eyes and at an instant he felt his head hurting as if someone had kept an iron rod over it. Digging his head in the pillow, he tried to soothe the pain. As soon as the pain was getting less. He opened his eyes and looked at the white ceiling.
“Papa woah…“
“Mumma…”
Remembering of Arjun’s words, Vansh got up with a jolt and looked around the room carefully. Not able to clearly recognize where he actually was he threw the duvet on the floor and got down from the bed. Moving to the door, he heard someone’s footsteps. Unknown to the environment and for their safety he picked up the showpiece kept on the table. Hiding behind the door, he waited for the person to either enter or to leave.
As soon as he saw the door opening and a feet of the person was in his view. Tightening the grip on the showpiece, he went to hit him. As soon as he came in front of the face, the face made him relax of all the worries. Throwing the object on the floor, he immediately took her into a bone crushing hug.
Vansh: Thank God Riddhima, you are fine.
He said caressing her back over her long hairs. Feeling of her hugging him back made him calm down to an extent where he could find peace.
Riddhima: Vansh…I’m fine.
She said and tried to break the hug but only if he would have let her. Encircling her hands around his neck, she felt him kissing her on the crown of her head.
As soon as Arjun’s words again came in his mind, he at an instant came out of the hug and looked at her face.
Vansh: Riddhima…Arjun…You know where is he?
She heard him as he cupped her face between his hands and looked at her. She nodded keeping her hand on his.
Riddhima: Vansh…He is also fine and even everyone is. Come.
Riddhima said making him confused. Before he could ask anything else, she held his hand and pulled him out of the room. Looking around the corridor, now he don’t have any questions to ask about their location. But still how they came here was the main question.
Vansh: What are we doing here, Riddhima?
She heard his questions again and not answering him. She directly brought him in front of the room. Giving it a slight push, she opened the door.
Entering in, Vansh looked at Arjun who was peacefully sleeping on the bed holding one of his toy in his hands. Riddhima looked at his confused look. Expecting him to be happy to see him fine. She came in front of his view.
Riddhima: What happened?
She asked and looked in through his eyes. As soon as Riddhima’s face came in his view. The confusion and most importantly, everything unknown to him came in his mind. Holding her hand in his tight grip, he pulled her out with him. Opening the door with a loud thud, they entered back in the same room.
Pinning her to the wall, he looked in her eyes.
Vansh: What are we doing here?
He asked with a calm voice.
Riddhima: Vansh, I…
Before she could say he interrupted her.
Vansh: You again hid everything from me?
Opening and closing her mouth she tried to give out a reason when his gaze was make her mind go numb.
Riddhima: Vansh…I thought…
She said and was again interrupted by him.
Vansh: You thought that your behavior isn’t enough for me to get to know that you were actually aware of everything before Sejal told us. Didn’t you?
She looked at him with teary eyes hearing his words.
Riddhima: Vansh…at least listen to me.
She said and held his hand in his.
Vansh: Now….When everything is done. Why should I listen to you now? I knew it how can you so easily agree to Sejal even on knowing that Arjun’s life was at stake? Over there Ishani and Aryan were in his captive. Most importantly, how Angre and Siya left the city all of a sudden right?
He said and jerked his head. Looking at her teary eyes, he moved to the couch and sat there keeping his hands on his head. Wiping her tears, she moved to him and sat in front of him again taking his hand in hers.
Riddhima: Vansh…please. I’ll tell you everything.
She said with her voice choking in her throat. But when he didn’t said anything then thinking it to be yes. She continued.
“Riddhima…” hearing the voice, Riddhima looked in the direction to see Sejal standing there.
Riddhima: Sejal…
She mumbled to herself and got up from her place. Moving to her she hugged her tightly.
Sejal: Riddhima… Bomb?
She said and came out of the hug.
Riddhima: Sejal… Don’t worry everything is fine.
Sejal heard her and blinked her eyes in yes
Sejal: Whatever Vansh said is it true? You were aware of everything before only?
Nodding Riddhima tried to answer out.
Sejal: Why you hid everything from us?
She asked and looking at her.
Riddhima: I…I’ll tell you everything.
Riddhima said and inhaled a sharp breath.
Sejal: Not me… you’ll have to explain everything to us from starting.
Saying so Sejal held her hand and pulled her to the hall. Looking at everyone’s questioning gaze. Riddhima looked at Angre who was standing at a side leaning to the pillar.
Kabir: Riddhima, what are we doing here in Darjeeling?
Riddhima heard Kabir’s voice and turned back to look at him.
Riddhima: I wasn’t aware of everything from starting but a bit of hint was there. On the next day of Mom, Bhabhi and bhai’s car accident when Sejal had called me and after I had refused her again. I was going back to the room when I heard Mom and Dad saying.
Flashback starts:-
Uma: Ajay, what are you saying? You really want to tell them everything?
Uma asked as she heard him. Peeping in Riddhima heard them.
Ajay: What can we say? You think we can hide this fact. They had repent for our mistakes and will keep on doing it, we’ll have to tell them anyhow Uma.
Riddhima heard him saying angrily and knocked the door. Looking at her, they were shocked.
Riddhima: Woah Mom…What are you talking about?
Uma moved to give her a reason. When Ajay interrupted her
Ajay: Sooraj did all that to save you all. Actually I was from Mafia world you all are aware of but it’s not easy to leave it, I had left the Mafia world after I got to know of it into joining another field illegal and wrong activities as well, but before leaving I had left a proof there. Sooraj was my friend since starting. Telling him everything, I asked his help in helping me in erasing the proof and for that I had even agreed for going to jail. He agreed and after you all had left for Darjeeling for your studies. He started searching for that proof.
Riddhima heard him with confusion revolving around her mind.
Riddhima: But how did he do all this for… I mean…what?
Uma kept her hand on her shoulder and looked at her.
Ajay: Everything was fine even Sooraj was near to the proof. When we got to know of Ruchi’s pregnancy. All of us were sad and happy too but everyone knows a police and thief can’t be together. But here the case was completely different and when Sooraj agreed for this alliance, you know the ruckus which got created by the police department and Mafia world they started criticizing us which made Sooraj to take back the decision. But when Vansh assured him then he agreed. Saying yes for both the alliance of yours and Veer’s Sooraj was happy. So that day on your marriage when Vyom kidnapped you and Ruchi. Even that day the bullet for Ruchi wasn’t fired by Sooraj. We still didn’t knew who actually did it.
Getting another shock, Riddhima closed her mouth as tears came out of her eyes.
Ajay: And the bullet you got hurt wasn’t for you it was for Vyom to erase his name from our life but you got hurt. On knowing you both had lost your memory, we decided to send you to Paris. You were happy there and Vansh was here. And then came another news. When Veer told us of the attacks on you and Ruchi being pregnant again. Getting scared that the person got to know of your location, we asked him to bring you back on the pretext of a case and then the major thing started. Sooraj knew that I had to leave for the prison now repenting for joining the mafia and involving myself into drug dealing activities as the proof was in his hands and he will destroy it when I’ll fulfill the promise. But giving me a time to inform everything to you. I asked Vansh to kidnap you so that by doing those activities you both can recall your past and that happened but with another attack.
Again that day the bullets weren’t for you. The person was after you and we had to track his locations, so Veer tried that only. There only we got to know that the person is from both the side in daylight a police officer and in dark, a mafia. We had to catch him and we used you. But again that accident occurred but for the good you both had recalled your past.
Riddhima, you planned everything not actually it was only his plan. But we weren’t aware that instead of telling you the truth Sooraj will take all the blame upon him. Veer had tried everything to bring him out but to no help. And there we got to know of Sooraj’s accident. Even the accident which occurred yesterday was done by the same person. Whose face is still unknown to us?
Ajay told everything releasing a deep breath.
Riddhima: Papa…
Saying so she fell on the floor.
Uma: Riddhima…Riddhima…don’t tell anything to anyone not even to Vansh. Please.
Hearing her she looked at her shocked.
Riddhima: But Mom…
She said and was interrupted by Ajay.
Ajay: Uma, please try to understand it will break their relationship.
Uma heard him and looked at Riddhima.
Uma: Promise me, you won’t let anything wrong happen.
Riddhima heard her as Uma took her hand in hers.
Riddhima: Mom…What are you saying?
Riddhima said and looked at her pleading eyes. Giving up she nodded while tears came out of her eyes.
Flashback ends:-
They heard her shocked. Looking at each other they tried to digest the fact.
Vansh: Why you didn’t told us anything?
Vansh asked and looked at her face.
Riddhima: I tried to but the news of Mom and dad’s death broke me.
She said and took a deep breath.
Riddhima: Everything is known by you all till three days back. But again I hid another truth. That night, when we had given truth serum to Sejal. And after you all had taken her to the hospital. I really thought to come in another car just when I saw someone’s shadow near the lawn. Moving there I…
Flashback starts:-
Moving there, Riddhima looked around the area confused.
Riddhima: Who is there?
She asked and waited for any movements. Keeping both the phones on the table. But to her no help, she didn’t got anything.
Riddhima: But someone is really here.
She mumbled and moved there. Looking around she tried to search just when she heard car’s sound. Rushing to the back of the lawn, she looked around to see no one.
Realizing something she came back to the place where she was. Looking at the table, she saw Sejal’s phone missing.
Riddhima: Oh no… It was the last thing I had to know about everything.
She said and started searching for the phone. Just when the lights again went off. Getting hit by the table, she fell on the floor. Just when she saw someone walking by her side. She looked as the person kept back the phone on the table.
Knowing that now it was of no use to her, she held his leg making him stumble. Taking the glass bottle, she hit him on his leg but instantly he jumped.
Voice: Aaah…
The voice was completely unknown to her. Even on recalling she didn’t get to remember anything. Taking the time, he started running from there. Running after him, Riddhima saw him sitting in the car and moving.
Following him in her car, she looked as he started taking different turns.
Riddhima: He is making me confuse. But even I’m Riddhima. Let him tell what I can do?
Riddhima said to herself and took a turn from the jungle area. Crossing through the trees, she finally found his car. A smile crept on her lips. Following him from different path, she saw his car stopping at a particular place.
Stopping her car at a bit distance, she looked up to get shocked to see RV Mansion in front of her. Looking down, she saw many bodyguards standing there. Face palming herself, she thought to enter in.
Thanks to her luck that she still remember each and every corner of RV Mansion. Jumping in through the window she looked around to see the place covered with dullness and spider’s web marking that none had arrived here for long. Just when she saw him entering in, following him she looked as he moved in to a room.
Riddhima: Study of our mansion. Why?
She said to herself and looked around to see none there. Entering in she saw him sitting on the chair with two chairs kept in front of him. Sitting there, he took out the spray from the drawer and applied on his legs. Lights of the room helped her to see the face of the person.
Riddhima: Bhai…
She mumbled as a smile came of her lips seeing him and tears made its way through her eyes. She was about to enter in when she heard him.
Veer: Had you implanted the bomb?
He said making her shocked to the core.
Riddhima: Bomb? Where?
She said and looked at him.
Veer: Good…Prepare everything you have to hide outside the Mansion for few days.
He said and turned his chair around to keep back the spray. Taking it as an opportunity she entered in. Hiding in the cupboard she peeped out. As she saw him standing up and moving to the chairs.
Veer: I don’t want anything from anyone of you. Just my thing and I will leave your lives but if anyone came in between it and me. I’ll kill him.
He said in a dangerous tone.
Riddhima: Bhai’s thing. Arjun? But why isn’t he coming in front of us?
She said and saw him smirking while looking at something. Peeping out she looked at the photo.
Riddhima: Me? Bhai, why?
She mumbled all the words to herself totally in confusion and saw him moving out. Coming out she thought to leave before she could get caught and at that instant she saw Ishani and Aryan tied to the chair with blood all over them.
Riddhima: What are they doing here? They were in Maldives, then?
She was about to move to them when the door again opened hiding herself behind the door she saw Veer coming back.
Riddhima: No, I can’t come in front of him right now. Not now what actually he wants?
Not knowing how to help Aryan and Ishani she thought to do it another time.
Running out she sat back in her car. Coming back to the lawn she saw Vansh’s car standing there.
Flashback ends:-
She said and looked at their questioning gazes.
Aryan: If you had seen us there, then why you didn’t save us?
She heard Aryan, who was sitting on the sofa.
Riddhima: I couldn’t come in front of him, at that time. So I asked Angre to do. That night I wasn’t aware of anything but then next day when Sejal told me everything. I was confirmed that she isn’t lying.
She said and still the gazes weren’t enough for her.
Vansh: Then again you lied
She heard him and sat on the sofa.
Sejal: Still the question is what are we doing here? That bomb? Will you tell us everything?
She said irritated after hearing everything.
Riddhima: I…I..
Before she could continue she heard Angre’s voice.
Angre: I’ll tell you everything further.
He said gaining everyone’s attention.
Kabir: You were aware of everything?
He heard Kabir and nodded.
Angre: Not actually but three days back only.
Angre said and looked at their faces.
Angre: When bhabhi told me about Veer bhai, I didn’t said anything and thought to go the way she’ll say. And I did, the day of the party. Bhabhi asked me to arrange the choppers so that we can come here to Darjeeling safely. But before that I had to bring Aryan and Ishani from there and bhabhi had to remove the bomb. Manipulating Arjun anyhow, we asked him to be hidden away from everyone’s sight as a game. He did and in that time, Siya was keeping an eye on him while Bhabhi was searching for bomb and she actually got it.
Whereas I had went to RV Mansion to bring them back but when I had went they had already ran away and I found the remote for the bomb their only in the study. We were successful in diffusing the bomb. We don’t know how Arjun fell from there. It wasn’t from our side but from Veer bhai’s side.
While I was coming back to the Mansion, by mistake my car came in front of Aryan and Ishani’s. Neither I got hurt nor they but they were unconscious and I brought them to the Mansion. There I finally made you all unconscious and then we three brought you all here through chopper.
He said making everyone go numb at the declaration of their plan.
Vansh: And none of you cared to tell anything to us?
He said looking at Riddhima.
Sejal: Riddhima, what was the need to hide the truth? You should have told us?
She said and saw Riddhima looking at her.
Riddhima: Sejal, if it was that easy then why you didn’t told us everything in the span of 5 years. Wasn’t that much time enough? And actually you all think that it was easy for me to handle your questions with the tension of Arjun’s life at stake.
She said glaring at their faces.
Kabir: Leave all that, but why are we here? Bhai is aware of this place. So why are we hiding here?
Kabir asked and looked at Angre and Riddhima.
Riddhima: But till we can get the time to think of something else.
She said and saw him nodding. Not wanting to ask anything else, Vansh moved out from there.
After a while all dispersed to their rooms. Ishani looked at the empty hall.
Ishani: If that truth came out then?
She said to herself and recalled about the file she saw there.
