Emotional Moments on Kaun Banega Crorepati 15: Jasnil Kumar’s Dream Journey and the Rs 7 Crore Dilemma

Jasnil Kumar’s remarkable journey on “Kaun Banega Crorepati 15” took an emotional turn after he won Rs 1 crore. Host Amitabh Bachchan asked Jasnil about his feelings after this monumental victory, and with teary eyes, Jasnil shared, “Sir, ever since I learned about KBC, it has been my dream to stand on this stage. Since 2011, I relentlessly pursued this dream. I remember crying more about KBC than anything else. I worked tirelessly while continuously trying to make it to KBC. People ridiculed me, but I always believed that one day I would prove them all wrong. I dreamed that one day my entire life would change. My destiny and the picture of my home would change.”

Jasnil also revealed how his 5-year-old son had been a source of motivation. “When I didn’t receive a call from KBC, I used to ask my son if the call would come this time. That little boy once told me, ‘It will definitely come.’ I didn’t teach him this; it was his natural instinct, and this belief kept me going. He said, ‘Dad, when you go, bring a shiny car back.’ His belief brought me here.”

Amitabh Bachchan then posed the 16th question worth Rs 7 crore: “Leena Gade, a person of Indian origin, is the first female race engineer to win which of the following races?” After considering the question, Jasnil admitted that he didn’t know the correct answer and chose to quit the game. Big B allowed him to do so but asked him to select one option before revealing the answer. Jasnil chose Option B.

To everyone’s astonishment, Amitabh Bachchan revealed that Jasnil had guessed the correct answer. He said, “If you had played the last question, you would have won Rs 7 crore because your guess was absolutely right. You could have won 7 crore today.” Big B hugged him once more and bid him farewell. Jasnil was also given the opportunity to choose an electronic appliance as a memento, and he opted for a new TV. He expressed, “We had a very old TV at our place, and it had already stopped working. Finally, we will be able to watch KBC together.”
