Mahi was disturbed nd woke up with anger nd came near the door ……opened it with an anger nd shouted at Chotu…
Mahi: yeh kya huva…..why r u knocking the door…
Chotu: Mahi Bhayya wo wo Di…Di
Mahi: Di…who is that? He questioned
Chotu: wo Di…..the girl who came here yesterday……she laid on ground…..i tried to wake up her but she didn’t……..she was drenched in the rain whole night…..
Mahi: what??? He was shocked hearing his words………
He ran towards Kaal nd saw her…..he patted on her cheeks to wake up her but she didn’t……he understood that she was unconscious…..he looked chotu…….
Chotu: I will call my mom…. Said he ran towads his house….
Mahi took her into his hands nd came inside his house……rested her on sofa…..chotu’s maa Kamala came with him….she looked at Kaal…
Kamala: Mahi ….who is she? She asked him
Mahi: I will tell you later….plz check her wat happened …she is not responding……..he said with some guilty…
Kamala: don’t worry….i will check…..said she chekced her
May be bcz of drenching in the rain whole night she was unconscious….bring some water chotu……she ordered chotu……
Chotu brought some water…..she sprinkled few drops on Kaal’s face…….Kaal slowly came into conscious…..but started shivering……seeing her
Kamala: Mahi its better to change her cloths otherwise her condition will become worse……
Mahi looked her blankly…..she understood ….she said Mahi
Kamala: don’t worry …I will bring some cloths nd a blanket…until my return plz try to keep her warm….stay with her……said she went out……
Mahi nodded nd he removed his jacket nd covered her with that nd sat beside her rubbing her hands……Chotu sat near her legs rubbing her foot…
Ali didn’t understand as wt should he do now….shall he call doctor….or wait nd watch the situation until he recieve next order from her maam…he was observing their acts with tention…
After few minutes Kamala came there with cloths nd Tea flask…..
Kamala: Mahi ..u both go nd wait outside….i will change her cloths…..she said…
They both came out nd Kamala closed the door…….Mahi stood with guilt as he was the reason for her worse condition…..
After few minutes Kamala opened the door nd said Mahi to come inside…he came inside nd saw Kaal ….
Kamala: Mahi make her drink tea ….i will come few minutes later after preparing some food to eat for u both…..Chotu come with me said she left from there with Chotu….
Mahi nodded nd he went near her……..he made her sit ….holding her comfortably he made her sip tea…..after that he very carfully rested her nd covered with the blanket…..he sat behind her
Mahi: sorry bcz of me it happened……today onwards u will stay here until you will get the chance….okay…he said looking at her…
She smiled weakly….Ali came there nd peeped into the window….he saw his maam …seeing her he relieved from tention nd he slowly left from there…
The whole day Mahi didn’t move a step from there …..he sat near her nd frequently observing her condition as it is okay or she got any fever……..meanwhile Kamala brought some food …..she feeded Kaal…..Mahi rejected to take food but Kamala insisted him as if he cant eat how can he take care of that girl…..after Mahi completed his lunch …she left from there…..
The same process repeated in the evening also……after that Mahi slept on the floor near the sofa nd checked her condition with intervals…….for the first time that day he skipped his usual habit of drinking…bcz of Kaal as he thought that if he take it he can’t look after her.
NEXT DAY MORNING
Kaal woke up nd sat …..she saw Mahi who slept on the floor near the sofa……without making noise slowly stepped her foot on the floor…..before she got up ….Mahi woke up nd saw Kaal…..she looked him
Mahi: Gudiya…how r u? r u feeling better now? He enquired …
Kaal: hmmm…I am fine…said she tried to stand up….but bcz of weakness she loosen her balance…….when she was about to fall…..Mahi held her by holding her shoulders…..
She looked him….for the first time her heart skipped a beat seeing his face in near….she never felt this type of feeling when Shivaay was near to her ……thinking …..she immediately adjusted herself nd stood straight…..Mahi also felt something nd he also get back to his position..
Mahi: if u want anything ask me I will bring it…..he said without looking at her…
Kaal: ( with a smile)…I want to go to wash room …will u bring that here…….she asked him with giggling…
For her question he looked at her……after getting wt she told….he also smiled…..she slowly moved from there …….seeing her …he slowly patted on his head…nd smiled remembering her words…
Chotu came there nd see Mahi who is smiling himself…….once again he was amazed seeing Mahi with smile….
Chotu: so Di is fine…he said
Mahi: how did u know? He questioned
Chotu: simple u r smiling…..happiness is clearly visible on ur face…..from yesterday you felt tention about Di….ur face became dull nd I never see u in such a condition…..nd now u r very happy…even I never see dis before……..he explained
Mahi: chal….dont make ur own stories….nothing like that…..i smiled bcz I remembered a joke….
He tried to cover his feelings…..
Chot: achha….wts that joke …tell me I will also laugh…he asked…
Mahi: you …..why did you come here? He asked him to divert the topic as he saw Kaal who came inside….
Chotu: vo mom sent me…..she hv sent tea nd break fast to u both……..said he gave the cover to him…
Mahi took from him nd said
Mahi: tell your maa….no need to send lunch…I will prepare it here……..
Chotu: but how do you do?
Mahi: I can manage …u can go…said he turned back…..
He saw Kaal who stood his back looking at him….without looking at her went near the kitchen platform nd he served the food sent by Kamala in the plates nd came near Kaal nd gave one to her ……she calmly took it nd completed it ….after that they both completed tea……
Mahi: I will come in few minutes …. Don’t go any where ….take rest……said he left from there……
She thought a while nd msged Ali as I am okay….
After nearly one hr Mahi came back with a bag…..she started observing his acts……he went near the kitchen platform nd placed the items on it which he brought from bazar……she was amazed seeing the items as they all r grocery items….she smiled seeing them….she looked him….he looked back as he felt that she is observing him…..
Mahi: don’t doubt me…..i didn’t do any wrong….i brought all these stuff on debit………he gave explanation to her
Kaal: I didn’t ask you any explanation? Why did u give it? She questioned him
Mahi: I am not giving you explanation …I just told you that’s it…..said he started preparing food….
She keenly observing his way of work while preparing food ……….she remembered Shivaay’s way of preparing dishes……the only thing that differs in preparing dishes among the both is desi nd continental…….nd she also observed some other things which are similar in both nd differ from each other……after some time he completed the cooking nd served it to Kaal…….she smelled the dishes nd looking at Mahi……
Kaal: wow……aroma is super…..nd its luk so tempting……come fast…..i am feeling more hungry after seeing them…plz come fast………
Mahi: I will eat later…u should complete first……….said
Kaal: nothing doing….we both will eat at a time…..come on…….she didn’t agree to eat it alone…….
Mahi agreed nd they both completed the lunch ….after lunch she sat in the sofa ……looking at him
Kaal: shall I ask one thing?….she asked his permission…
Mahi nodded luking her….
Kaal: don’t get angry on me….okay….she requested
He smiled hearing her words nd seeing her child like expression……
Kaal looked at his smile….. for the first time she was slightly disturbed……she immediately turned her eyes to another side …..
Kaal: do you stay here alone? She enquired
Mahi looked at her nd said….
Mahi: no …..i hv so many relatives who r always remember my birth ……he said with the same smile….
Kaal: matlab…….
Mahi: (with a painful smile) I don’t know whose son I am? Maa never told me nd I never get any love nd affection from anybody including my maa…..he said
Hearing his words her grip on the sofa edge tightened…..
Kaal: I am sorry….. I asked a foolish question…..she apologized…..
Mahi: don’t worry it’s a common thing for me……when I came to know about myself …it became my daily habit of remembering my birth……
She felt bad for raising such a foolish matter nd was surprised for his calmness for not getting angry on the topic which was usually made him mad with anger…..to divert it …….
Kaal: day before yesterday I saw a music instrument in your hand….do you play it….she asked…
Mahi looked her nd he took out the instrument…she said I saw the same in a film….he smiled at her movie knowledge……he gave it her……she said she didn’t know how to play…..if u play it I will listen……he nodded nd started playing it…..she understood that through playing the instrument he always try to get relief from his pain as the rhythm clearly telling the same……
