Bhim explains that when a man commits a mistake then they blame him for taking advantage of being a man then this rule also applies to women. Phulari looks at everyone and how they are quiet so she angrily leaves to return when Jaggu tries to argue with Bhim Rao however, he warns that they would not say even a single word either in this Chawl or outside, he says that Phulari is still a woman and her resect also matters a lot for them. Bhim says he can file a case right now but the case would even be against Phulari, and a lot of questions would be asked from her in the court which he does not want to do so they
Shamla is reading the story of a lion to Shishupal, she suddenly mentions she forgot the clothes outside and would get cold. Shishupal wonders what did the man do after that which he must finds out, he picks the book in his hand while trying to read, Shamla comes to stand by his side saying it is nothing to worry and he would also be able to read one day, as with a bit of effort when Shishupal asks how long however Shamla replies he still does not recognize the words when after that would learn the letters then the sentences, Shishupal says it is very difficult when he did not have to do anything of the sort for picking the stick, Shamla replies this is what they must learn that it is very difficult to study in life, saying it would take time but he should also learn some words, Shishupal asks how can he do it, she informs him that when he joins the letters then they become worse, Shishupal asks how can he join the letters of her name, Shamla teaches it to Shishupal who is looking at her while she writes her name.
In the night Bhim is studying when Rama brings the milk but he asks her to put it on the table, she holds her ear and apologizes to him as she could not trust him when Bhim says what is the need to apologize as she says what she felt was right in that situation and he did the same. Bhim explains that if they disagree then it proves that both of them are able to live in their own life and if they just agree with everything then it might cause problems. Bhim asks Rama to understand as they can only prove it with evidence but not with their feelings. Bhim says he will read for a while then go to sleep however Rama says even she will study with him, he agrees so Rama also takes out her book to read.
In the morning Phulari is very tensed in her house while Jaggu is sleeping, she exclaims that Bhim ruined her self respect last night, Jaggu says that it is better they should forget what happened last night however Phulari replies she can never forgive Bhim or Rama because they humiliated her a lot while Jaggu along with all the other men were standing there quietly otherwise if he was a suitable man then would be thrown Bhim and Rama, Jaggu says that had he done it then Ramji along with Rama would have beaten him. Phulari holding the Agni vows to take revenge on Bhim and Rama which would be nothing short of a beating. Jaggu says that this means that the act would increase in the Chawl which he will enjoy a lot, he starts laughing.
Jija Bai and Karuna are working, Shoba asks Puran if he knows that when Deepak insists on having tea then she will tell him that if he drinks too much tea then will become a girl and so he will throw it.
Phulari thinks out the book saying Shoba should give her the full payment what is she thinking about everything is written in the ledger that she still owes her eight pennies which she must pay right now, Shoba assures she will pay her but Phulari demands it right now, Rama tells Shoba that everyone has some sort of payment then why is she making it a problem. Phulari starts calling Bhim Rao who comes asking what has happened, she says she needs her full payment otherwise no one will go to their work, Bhim asks her to calm down however she angrily says she will not calm down and he should also pay her, Meera asks what is Phulari saying, she mentions she is asking for her money just like Jija Bai demands her right to live in the house. Bhim asks Shoba if she has the money and she replies if she had the money then would have given the payment of her debt, Jaggu questions if Bhim is saying that Shoba would not give the loan, Karuna asks why is Rama looking like this as her husband only cares for what his followers desire. Phulari says that Bhim says he is with justice but it is all a mistake, Shoba requests Phulari to not make a scene as she will give the money when she has it, Bhim replies this is why she would not give it, Phulari demands everyone to hear what Bhim is saying, he mentions that just as the relations became bitter then she brought the book to demand money. Jaggu says he is even ill, Bhim says he can see how ill Jaggu is, he explains that Phulari is demanding the money to take revenge on Shoba which is not right, they should only demand when the time is right but not do it like this and if someone is troubled or furious then they should be a bit careful. Phulari agrees to the request of Bhim saying this is her ledger of her so she is requesting Shoba to give the money that she owes her, Jija Bai and Karuna start smiling. Jaggu says to Bhim that now Phulari talked politely but then Rama agrees to check her ledger and says Phulari has not written how many bowls of pudding has Shoba given her and neither that how many times Shoba went in her place to ask people for their clothes without demanding any money, Phulari gets angry while Rama is furious.
