Ram ji and his boys’ pickup sticks and challenge the villagers. The villagers warn them of consequences and take Bela forcibly with them.

Bela is brought in front of Maharaj. He shares that they will start with her purification now. The first step is to apply ash over her body. Ram ji tries to talk logically but Maharaj and the villagers stay firm on their decision. Ram ji whispers something in Bhimbai’s ears. She tells something to Ganga and Meera and they come up with a plan. Bhimbai runs off to her home avoiding everyone’s gaze. She gives something to Ganga upon her return. Bhimbai and Ram ji tell Bhima to buy them some time till the time Ganga comes back. Bhima walks in and picks up a burning piece of wood from the kund. Leave my Didi or I will set myself on fire

right here. My Baba is ex-Subedar. He wont spare any of you. Everyone looks at him in shock. Dhansukhlal tells him to immolate himself. We will get rid of you this way. Bhima’s family panics. Bhima says I wont die alone. Many people from my community will follow my example till the time you give up on your wish. Bela’s Nani asks him why he is becoming an obstacle in the path of God. Bela is lucky to have gotten this chance. She will become Devdasi and rise above sins and virtues. Bhima tells her this isn’t right but she replies that she got wounded because of the sins she has committed in the past. Bela will make up for all that we have done wrong. Bhima reasons that that was because of the atrocities done by these very people. She reprimands him again. There is no news about my son because of you all. Look at my condition. Now Bela got a chance to turn things around for our family but you are creating a hindrance in that too.

Ganga comes back outside after giving a piece of cloth to the good Devdasi. She also tells her before leaving that this way they will be able to save Bela.

Ram ji asks Bhima to come back. Maharaj smiles. You said something right for the first time. Bhima looks at Ganga and joins his family again. Is it done? Ganga nods. Now everything is in that Daasi’s hands.

The good Devdasi stops Maharaj and whispers something in his ears. Maharaj asks the Daasi who had poured the milk on Bela’s hair to check Bela. She goes inside. Everyone shoots a curious look at each other. She comes back and confirms that the other Daasi is telling the truth. She has periods right now. Flashback shows the good Daasi thinking it to be a sign from God. Even God wants Bela to be saved or the other Daasi wouldn’t have helped her. She makes a wound on Bela’s hand and tells her what to do. Maharaj wont make you a Devdasi in this condition. Flashback ends. Bela comes out. Maharaj says she will still become a Devdasi. She will become an ornament, a donation to our Ashram. He tells the reason why the ceremony cannot be done right now. She has been chosen for the Ashram already and is a part of Ashram’s property now.

Bhima argues that Bela is a human being. She is not an object or a thing to be possessed. Maharaj shouts at him to be quiet. Bhimbai holds her son close. The good Devdasi questions Maharaj how he can do this adharma. This will hurt the sentiments of all the Devdasi’s who have taken this path. I am a Devdasi so I cannot let an incompetent girl take this path. We have married God when we were pure. How can I let an impure girl marry God now? I wont let it happen even if you do this as this is about our faith!

Precap: Maharaj blames the good Devdasi. She has insulted me and must be punished. He asks the other Devdasi to punish her. She tries to push her face in the kund. Later, Sakpal family finds the good Devdasi hanging from a tree.
