Next Morning, he woke up with everyone gathered outside. He realized that Jijabai left the house, he wished for her to understand the value of family. He came out to the people. Hitesh said that it was Bhim Rao’s fault. Ramji refused to accept. Joku’s wife said that Bhim Rao’s misbehavior forced her husband to leave the house. Bhim Rao came downstairs. He was questioned. Phuliya cried loudly. Dailya amma consoled her. the people were in support of Bhim Rao as what he did wasn’t disrespectful. Jijabai asked Phuliya amma to come inside. Bhim Rao wanted to search Joku. Johsi came questioning Barrister for appointing Bhim Rao. He told him that his prayers won’t be answered, he would lose his income and become a beggar. Barrister replied that the day he would become a beggar Bhim Rao would be fired. He asked Joshi to leave. Joshi got furious, introduced himself as Resham Seth’s nephew, threatened to destroy to the Barrister. The Barrister wasn’t frightened, asked Joshi to beware of a lawyer’s approach. Joshi left the office.
Bhim Rao met Joshi in the corridor. He thanked Joshi for forcing him to find a job, said that he never left education. Bhim Rao would be leaving soon to submit the forms in college. Joshi left.
Bhim Rao wanted to take Barrister’s blessings, he refused on basis of Bhim Rao’s lower caste. Barrister said that Bhim Rao would be called when a new assignment appears. Bhim Rao asked if he could read books. Barrister allowed but to sit on the floor. Bhim Rao took a book, sat on the floor. he recalled the many times he was treated differently from others for being a lower caste.
At night, Phuliya ama cried for her husband’s return. She blamed Bhim Rao and Rama for her distorted home. She accused Bhim Rao of snatching her husband. She prayed for Bhim Rao to suffer the same. Meera defied. Phuliya said that Bhim Rao must be punished.
Meanwhile few men came asking for Joku as he ran away with their daughter in – law. The man wanted to find Joku, came to investigate about his village. The man was responsible for his son’s wife. Phuliya refused to believe. Hitesh informed men about Joku’s village. The man left. Phuliya amma cried. The women went to console her.
Rama couldn’t believe, she was going to make tea for Phuliya. Bhim Rao asked her to ease Phuliya amma, he would make the tea. Rama consoled her.
Bhim Rao was making tea, Jijabai came to him. She informed him about Ramji’s conditions. She would have left but there was no one to take care of Ramji. She asked Bhim Rao to come home before Ramji returns from work.
