Bala and Anand request their father to let Bala meet Bhima. Ram ji agrees. He gives him a message to convey to Bhima. Tell him that no battle / fight is won or fought by running away. He must come home and fight with his family for what he deems is right. Bala nods. Ram ji tells him to be careful. Bala leaves.
Ram ji tells Anand not to tell this to anyone. Anand is surprised by his father’s request. You have never told us to hide things from anyone before. Ram ji explains his situation.
Next morning, Bhimbai is looking for Bala. Anand cooks up an excuse with the help of his father. Bala enters and Bhimbai asks him about his whereabouts. Bala looks at Anand for help who signals him to make the same excuse he had made earlier. Bala mumbles the same lie. Ganga’s husband
Manjula’s fiancé and his brother are managing their shop. Their father sells a pair of slippers to a passerby by sharing that his son is about to get married. This will help them with the expenses. Manjula’s fiancé tells his father this is a personal matter. He should not make it public but his father slaps him instead.
Bala tells his Baba he told Bhima everything word to word. He gave me a letter to give to you. Ram ji reads it. You are right. No fight can be won by running away. I am wrong but till date Aayi has supported me every single time when I have rebelled except this time. You were there too but you could not say anything. That’s when I realised that this isn’t a fight but Aayi’s stubbornness. I am not capable of fighting that. I ran away to make her realize I am not happy with her decision. I know she could stay away from me for 1. 5 days at max till date. I am here with the hope that Aayi will understand my logic and break this wedding. Bhimbai is listening from inside. Ram ji continues. If I fail then I will forever think that I couldn’t stop the wedding. It is also true that I will not be able to return home ever again! I will forever live with the guilt of being the youngest one of the house. Ram ji wipes his tears. Bhima has grown up. He has understood it so quickly that not every fight can be won by being present. You could understand it whereas I could not understand that your rebellion by staying away from Bhimbai has complicated matters. I know her well though. She is your mother. She is very strong. She won’t back off. I don’t want to prove your mother wrong in front of the society because of you but I must bring you back home. I wont come back till the time I am able to bring you home. He leaves. Anand asks Bala if they should speak to groom’s family. Bala denies. They might discuss it with our parents which in turn will worsen the matter. We must think of something else.
Bhimbai cries while thinking of Bhima. She reminisces old times. I wish you could understand my compulsion. She notices Meera making a dupatta for Manjula’s wedding. Bhimbai compliments her. It will look very good on Manjula. Where is she? Meera says she is inside.
Bhimbai notices Manjula sitting sadly in a corner. She makes Manjula sit in front of a mirror and keeps the dupatta on her head. She shares how she saw a young bride like her the other day and decided to get Manjula married too. My dream is about to come true. I want to see you dressed as a bride while I am still alive. Anand and Bala look on from outside. anand tells Bala a plan. Bhima’s actions have taught us that there is logic behind every decision. What if we prove Aayi’s decision wrong? Bala asks him how it will be done. Anand tells him a plan (in mute).
Bhimbai tells Manjula that she might be able to understand her one day. Your brothers wont be able to understand as they are boys but you will. Parents do everything for the well-being of their kids. Manjula sits there quietly. Bala tells Manjula she is looking beautiful. He keeps a book in her hand. I met Bhima. He told me that he wants to see you like this. It is only possible when this marriage wont happen. Anand says I am not smart like Bhima but I will use my knowledge to make sure this wedding wont happen.
Precap: Anand and Bala meet the groom’s family and request them to break the wedding. No one is in favour of this marriage. They are taken aback. The boys are headed back when they see Bhimbai coming from the other side. They get tensed.
