A man came to inform Ramji that Bala was injured and unconscious. His wife came running, the man said that he slept the night outside like that. They all left. Bhabi and Jijabai weren’t concerned.
She came asking Bala about his condition. Bala questioned her concern, she wanted justice from this society. Nobody cared about Bala, he asked everyone to leave. Bala said that he was an average man not like Bhim Rao and Ramji who never yelled or hit their women. He asked his wife to leave, she refused. Bala asked her to live with him with his conditions. He didn’t want his wife to strengthened her ties with in laws. Bala left. His wife decided to go
Hitesh informed Jijabai that Bala’s wife left. Bhim Rao didn’t say anything. Jijabai wanted to make kheer but Bhabi refused. She said that it was better to live like others.
Sarla’s in laws came to bring her back. They said that her husband was extremely ashamed. He was threatening to hurt himself. Her mother-in-law grabbed her hand to take her back. Sarla freed herself he refused to let go of the fight for justice. She can not be forced to go back home. Sarla left. Her in laws threatened Rama and Bhim Rao for manipulating her daughter. Rama told them about Sarla and her sharp mind. They threatened Bhim Rao and Rama.
Sarla came back home. Bhabi questioned. Sarla wanted justice, she asked Bhabi not to turn er against Rama. Jijabai asked Sarla to behave. Sarla said that the tragedy with the society is that a woman teaches manners according to her will and when woman like Rama talks about rights, they are hated for it. Everyone came. Bhabi taunted Ramji for Bala winning. She and Jijabai felt very bad. Meera asked her to cry on Jijabai;’s shoulder. Bhabi was waiting for the daughter in laws to come back and cook.
Varchand taunted Sarla’s in laws for being incapable. They didn’t want to keep Sarla, only wanted her back after that they would kill her. Varchand asked them to utilize their situation well. Joshi asked them to go to their neighborhood.
Ramji asked Bhim Rao to keep an eye on Bala. Ramji didn’t believe Bala, he used to purposely get himself sick to get out any trouble. Bhim Rao questioned, asked if Bala pretended to be injured. Meera suggested that after cooking meal Rama, Lakshmi and she would visit Bala. Ramji agreed with Meera.
Joshi went to Sarla’s neighborhood. He convinced everyone that lower caste took Sarla with them which was in insult for the upper caste. He asked everyone to teach the lower caste their actual place in society. The people agreed. Varchand asked everyone to unite against the lower caste. Joshi saw Bhim Rao, said that he was the main culprit. Varchand told that Bhim Rao controlled everything that happened in that chawl. The people went after him. They took his banner and his back. They said that Sarla was staying in Bhim Rao’s house. Bhim Rao said that Sarla’s in laws didn’t know how to keep their daughter. Varchand questioned Bhim Rao for taunting their ethics and norms. The men went inside, they came back with their wives and brought sticks with them. They told Bhim Rao that they keep their wives on sticks and beatings. Everyone pushed their wives on the floor willing to hit them with the sticks
