Chapter 3

The episodes starts with Neil’s shocked face. Avni was also surprised to see Neil as her neighbour. Ali tightly hugged Neil and Ria side hugged him.

Ali: Avni, meet Neil.

Avni: Actually I know him. He is my class mate. I am surprised that he is also my neighbour. Okay now. I think I should take leave.

Ria: Ya. Sure. I’ll invite u soon to the baby shower. Hope to see u there.

Avni: Yes. I’ll love to visit. See u soon then.

She hugged Ria before leaving. Neil saw her going from there. The scene shifts to the lounge where the trio is sitting.

Ali: Aaj main uni mam Alia se milne gaya. She told me that u joined the uni again. I am glad that u r now finally moving on.

Neil: Kahan aagey barha houn main. Jab mene socha ke ab aagey berh jana chahiye tou zindagi ne mijhay phir us chohrahe pe la khara ker diya jis raaste per chalney se 8 saal pehle sab kuch khatam ho gya. Nafrat hai mijhay apnay apse. Aur nafrat hai mijhay pyaar se. Aaj tak pyaar ne sirf sab cheena hai mijhse. (When I have moved on. When I decided that I should move now, life took me at the same place from where 8 years ago everything got finished. I hate myself. And I hate love. Till today, love has only snatched everything from me)

Ali came to sit beside him and held his hand.

Ali: Kab tak apne aapko zimeydaar tehraye ga? Kab tak? Aaj phir zindagi ne tujhe ek aur mouka diya hai. Aagey berh. Shayad uper wale ne Juhi ko waapis bheja hai Avni ki shakal main. (Till when are u going to blame urself? Till when? Life is giving u another chance. Move on. May be God has sent Juhi in the shape of Avni).

Neil: Nahi *he stood up*. Wo Juhi kabhi nahi ho sakti. Wo tou esi thi jo kehti thi jo bura waqt aata hai wo waapis zaroor jata hai. Her raat ke baad ek subah phir nikalti hai. Her din ek nayi umeed ke aaj kal se behtar hai. Wo jo esi thi ke kabhi tumhe akela nahi chor sakti thi. Wo jo bahar se bohat strong dikhati thi magar ander se chahe wo bohat kamzor ho kabhi kisi ko ehsaas tak nahi hone deti thi. Bohat qareeb se usse jana hai. Her mushkil waqt main ek dewaar bun ker khari rahi mere saath. Shayad us jesa ab koi nahi hai. Shayad main usse kabhi na bhula sakoun. (No *he stood up*. She can’t be Juhi. She was the girl who used to think that when bad times comes around they goes around. After every night there comes a new morning. The one that hopes for a better day. The one that won’t give up on u. The one who used to show that she is strong but how much weak she is from inside would never let u know. I have seen her from very close. In every hard time of mine she used to stand beside me as a wall. May be no one is like her now. May be I shall never forget her).

Ali: Ab waqt aa gya hai. You have to be brave. And your courage to do what’s right has to be greater than ur fear of getting hurt. So be brave. Be brave. Some times there is no next time, no time outs, and no second chance. Sometimes it’s now or never. God has given u another chance. Don’t let it go due to ur fear of loosing again.

Saying this both, Ali and Ria left from there patting on his shoulders.

The scene shifts to Avni who is talking to Neela.

Avni: Haan maa. Sab theek hai yahan. Aaj mene kuch naye dost banaye. Ache log hain. (Yes maa. Everything is fine here. Today I made some new friends. They are good people).

Neela: Good bacha. Should have been a busy day.

Avni (smiling): Haan maa. Chalo baad main baat kerti houn. (Yes maa. Okay I’ll talk to u later).

Neela: Haan bacha. Araam ker ab tou. (Yes bacha. Have some rest).

After talking to Neela she went on the roof top of her house. She started talking, looking at sky.

Avni: Aapne aaj tak mijhse sirf cheena hai. Lekin main aapse naraz nahi houn. Shayad meri kismat hi esi hai. Aagey please sab acha rakhiye ga. Neela maa ne humesha mere liye zindagi qurbaan ki hai. Unhe kabhi bura waqt mat dikhaye ga. (Till now u have always snatched things. But I am not angry with u. May be this is in my fate. Let everything be good in future. Neela maa has always sacrificed her life for me. Don’t let her go through bad times ever).

Saying this she turned to leave when she saw Neil staring at her from his roof top. They both had an eye lock but Neil after a moment left from their angrily.

Avni: Ajeeb. Her waqt ghussay main. (Strange. He is angry all the time).

And she also left from there.

The scene shifts to a dark room where Neil is sitting in front of the window and admiring the moon.

Flashback
( A girl is seen enjoying the bliss of rain. She used to live at the same house where Avni is living, besides Neil house. Neil was looking at her while she was enjoying the rain. She came to him and also dragged him under the rain. Juhi, he said and the girl turned around smiling who had the same face as Avni.

Juhi: Kiya hai? Enjoy kero. Yeh enjoy kerne ka mosam hai. (What? Enjoy. This weather is to enjoy).

She sneezed immediately after saying this. Neil watching this started laughing.

Neil: Aur kero enjoy. (Go. Enjoy)

The scene then shifts to lounge where she is sneezing badly and Neil drying her hair from a towel. Shweta came to her running with a kaarha and asked her to drink it. She started making faces while looking at the kaarha. Neil was laughing seeing her. Prakash came and sat beside him and made her drink kaarha.

Juhi was Prakash’s friend daughter who died due to a car accident with his wife. Juhi was raised by him. Shweta and Prakash used to love her as their own daughter. Later that night she was seen at her roof top talking to God.

Juhi: Thank you God for making my life this beautiful. I used to be angry with u that u snatched my parents from me. But u gave them back to me in the shape of uncle and aunty. Thank you.

Neil was looking at her from his roof top. She didn’t noticed it and went from there. Neil looked at sky and smiled and left from there as well).

Flashback ends.

Neil’s POV
Sometimes I wish I could go back in time, sit down with myself and explain things were going to be okay, that everybody looses ground sometimes and it doesn’t mean anything. It’s the way life works. It’s hard to understand in the moment. The ones u loved the most left u. But it’s okay. U have to be strong.

The episode ends on his teary eyes.

Precap: A forest camping program by uni. Avni in danger and Neil came as her saviour.
