Vikram orders the reporters to stop recording. He tells them that Durga became mentally unstable after losing her husband and claims her statements about her mother are false. He questions the reporters, asking why, if Durga’s mother were alive, she didn’t raise Durga instead of him.
Durga firmly denies being mentally unstable. She challenges the reporters to think about whether she doesn’t deserve a chance to study at a prestigious college like Imperial Medical College. Some reporters suggest that Durga could stay in a hostel while pursuing her education. Durga agrees and says this is exactly what she has been trying to explain all along.
At this point, Panibai scolds Durga, asking if this is how she repays Vikram for raising her all these years. Durga defends herself, insisting she is only fighting for her right to an education. She directly confronts Vikram, accusing him of refusing to support her and let her use his name as a guardian. Determined, Durga declares that if Vikram continues to deny her, she will take charge of her own future and become her own guardian. She demands that Vikram call the dean and resolve the issue.
Meanwhile, Anurag returns home and asks Anubhav if Durga has been admitted to college. Anubhav explains the dean’s condition—that Durga needs a guardian’s name to secure her admission. He also tells Anurag that Vikram is refusing to let her use his name, which is causing all the trouble. Hearing this, Anurag decides to confront Vikram.
As word spreads about Durga’s struggle, more people begin to support her and urge Vikram to take action. Anurag directly questions Vikram, asking why he cannot be Durga’s guardian when she is already 21 years old. Vikram argues that allowing Durga to study in the city will anger the people of Kinsar. Instead, he offers to admit her into a medical college closer to Kinsar.
Durga rejects Vikram’s suggestion outright. She passionately voices her disapproval, stating that she will not compromise on her dreams. Bhanu, a minister who supports Vikram, steps in and shows solidarity with Durga. He assures Anurag that if needed, he will personally talk to the dean to help Durga. Anurag agrees and takes Durga to finalize her admission at Imperial Medical College.
Back at Rathore Mansion, Panibai begins plotting against Durga. Furious at Durga for humiliating Vikram, Panibai decides that Durga must die. She coldly tells Vikram that Durga has become a burden and suggests they eliminate her. Panibai proposes poisoning Durga, confidently stating that no one will suspect her because of her “rare knowledge” of poisons. She outlines her plan: she will prepare Sharbat (a sweet drink) under the pretense of observing a Vrath (religious fast) and give Durga a special poisoned portion. Once Durga dies, Vikram can dispose of her body and spread a story that she left on her own. Vikram, frustrated and desperate, agrees to Panibai’s plan and orders her to carry it out.
Anurag and Durga return home, where Savitri eagerly asks if Durga got admitted to the college. Durga happily confirms her admission and expresses her heartfelt gratitude.
Meanwhile, Panibai begins preparing Sharbat for everyone, pretending it is part of her Vrath. Her intentions, however, are far more sinister.
