Aarthi tells Durga that she used to live in fear of everyone but refuses to be afraid anymore. She turns to Panibai and says Savitri draws her courage from the family, while she finds her strength in her son. Aarthi adds that Panibai wouldn’t understand this. Panibai retorts that she understands it better than Aarthi realizes and suggests she ask Savitri about it. Indira steps in, claiming she raised the children in the house as her own, prompting another sharp comment from Panibai.
Durga calls Anubhav from a public phone booth, anxious about Anurag’s condition. Anubhav informs her that Anurag’s situation is critical. He explains that although the doctor initially said it was just a knee injury, they later found head and back injuries. However, the doctor successfully removed the bullet. Hearing this, Durga blames herself for Anurag’s suffering. Anubhav reassures her, saying they helped her of their own choice and she shouldn’t feel guilty. He advises her to focus on her safety for now.
Durga confesses that she’s at a loss—she has no money, and she fears Rajesh will kill her if he finds her. Feeling hopeless, she doubts she can escape her current plight. Anubhav reminds her that she passed the medical test. Durga says she can’t ask Vikram for help with her studies since he blames her for Anurag’s condition. She promises to figure things out and ends the call.
Durga arrives at Rajesh’s house and informs Meera that Anurag was shot by Rajesh. Chandini makes a comment about Durga’s situation, prompting Meera to ask for the full story. Durga explains how Rajesh locked her in an abandoned bungalow, planning to torture her before killing her. Anurag and Anubhav discovered her location and came to rescue her, but during the confrontation, Rajesh shot Anurag.
Hearing this, Rajesh’s aunt coldly remarks that Anurag deserved it for meddling in their family’s affairs. Outraged, Durga rebukes the aunt, accusing her of blindly supporting Rajesh no matter what. Durga warns her that if she dares to insult Anurag again, she will forbid her from eating in the house. She then instructs Meera not to serve Rajesh’s aunt any food going forward.
Meera asks if Rajesh knows Durga is at the house. Durga replies that Rajesh must have fled by now, fearing Vikram’s wrath for hurting Anurag. She vows not to spare Rajesh, swearing that if given the chance, she will kill him for what he did to Anurag. Rajesh’s aunt and Rajesh react angrily to her words.
