Scene 1

She’s shocked. Charu takes the shagun thaal downstairs. Durga reads the letter in tears. Chumki looks at her. Chumki shoves Charu. Anirban holds her. Durga looks at them. Latika says is Charu staying in this house for Anirban? To light his love’s fire again. Durga rushes to her room in tears. Charu asks Savitri if she can help. She says just stay here as a guest.

Durga cries in her room. Savitri and Rashi ask her to come downstairs. Durga leaves the letter there and goes with them. Charu walks into the temple. Dadi says I don’t like impurity inside my temple. Charu finds the letter. She reads it. Charu is shocked. She wonders if Durga rads it. She sees Sindur on it. Charu says that means Durga has read it. She is shocked. She runs downstairs and looks for Durga. Durga is in the temple. Charu is worried. She looks at Durga. Durga looks at Charu and then looks away.
