Scene 1
Devi peeks in the class. She sees Durga and says how is she like me? Durga asks her to come in. Devi comes in. A guy asks who are you? This is that girl from the circus. She’s a beggar. Charu says I am not a beggar. They all bully her. She says shut up. They say you stole this book. Charu says I didn’t steal. I came to return this book. A girl dropped it. The kids call her a liar. The teacher comes in. A kid says she stole this book. Charu says I came to return it. I am not a thief. It fell from a girl’s book. That girl.. Is it yours? She says yes. She thanks Charu. Charu says see, I am not a thief. Education can’t be stolen. The teacher says you have such a good thought. She says I will be more educated than these all. I am not scared of anyone.

Scene 2
Sampurna distributes sweets in happiness. A servant tells her it’s Raksha Bandhan. Durga looks at all the rakhis she kept safe for Devi. She says when you come I will tie it on your hand. Jhumki asks Devi why do you buy rakhi? She says I want someone to tie me rakhi. Bholi says you will protect someone? I locked you in the cage. Bakay comes in for breakfast. Jhumki doesn’t give it to Charu. She throws it and says eat outside. Charu leaves. Bakay says I think we should send Charu to school. She says she’s made to earn money for us only. Don’t ever say anything else to her. Go from here. Charu leaves the bread in the market.
Charu and her family go to take groceries. Charu says we earn, why should we take donations grocery? Bholi says go and get it. They stand in line. Charu says to jhumki don’t pick without permission. Some white people throw it at them. Charu doesn’t like it.
The kids in school snatch Durga’s bag. They throw it around and say take it now. Take it if you’re so brave. They run away with her bag. Charu shouts enough. She says we are not beggars? We are citizens of this place. You can’t disrespect us like this. Charu stands in front of them. She says don’t all of you have any self-respect? this country is ours. We don’t need to be their servants. People start returning their groceries. They all stand with Charu.
The kids lock Durga in the class. She’s scared. She says I have to get my bag. Her bag is on top of the closet. Durga is scared. She sees a shadow and gets scared. Durga says to open the door. The kids leave. Durga cries for help. Durga is scared. She says Devi save me, please. Devi says why do I feel like someone is calling me for help. The Englishmen sent their guards to hit Charu. They hit her on the head. Devi screams and falls. Durga faints as well.

Precap: Durga needs to be taken to Delhi for medication. Charu says she can’t stay in Delhi, but to make Boli realise her mistake, she will stay for another day. Durga arrives in Delhi.
