Being a parent is a huge responsibility right from when they are newborn, till they legally turn adults. Being a parent comes with a lot of decision-making, a huge part of which is making decisions for the future of your child.
Doting mother Mahhi Vij talked about it in a recent interview with BT and shared, “I do not have any set plan for Tara. I want to go with the flow because I really don’t know what she is interested in right now. She is too young.”
She added, “I remember when I was young, I wanted to become a nurse also, a doctor also, a teacher also. It kept changing as per my moods and how my life went. So I don’t want to push a decision on my daughter or even ask her to fulfill my dreams. I want to give her the freedom that my parents gave me. There is no set plan.”
But it’s not like Mahhi has not thought about it. “As a parent, I obviously have certain ideas in my mind on what I want her future to be like, but I cannot and will not pile on my thoughts and wishes on her,” Mahhi said.
Talking about the list of qualities that she wants Tara to possess. She shared, “I just pray to God that she becomes a good human being, respects people, feels deeply for everybody around her, has compassion, has emotions. But having said that, I also want her to be very brave and straightforward.”
“I want Tara to grow and become a strong individual. And I want to surprise myself and see which path my daughter chooses, just like she’s been surprising me every day,” she concludes.
