Doree asks Ganga Prasad about collecting money. Ganga Prasad lies, saying it’s for Doree’s education. The doctor asks about Ganga Prasad’s surgery, stating it’s critical. Ganga Prasad explains he’s arranging money for the surgery, hoping to survive one more day to admit Doree to a school. Doree wonders why he’s talking like this. Meanwhile, Shukhla proposes a deal to Kailash Devi, wanting Ganga Prasad for his talented designer. Kailash Devi is shocked. Doree fears he’s discussing his death and wishes nothing bad happened to him.
Anand arrives, and Kailash Devi questions Shukhla’s interest in hiring Ganga Prasad. Shukhla explains they need Ganga Prasad for a new business venture and agrees to Kailash Devi’s high demands, mentioning a diamond as part of the deal. Ganga Prasad notices Doree’s wound and suggests they eat. Doree reveals Kailash Devi burnt her hand, expressing her reluctance to go to school.
Shukhla and Kailash Devi discuss the deal, and Anand doubts Ganga Prasad will agree to their terms. Kailash Devi is confident he will, considering the saree he must make in a week. Ganga Prasad interrupts, calling out Kailash Devi and expressing his frustration. He asserts his role as Doree’s father and accuses Kailash Devi of being heartless. Anand tries to convince Ganga Prasad to accept the offer.
Kailash Devi suggests Ganga Prasad take the opportunity for Doree’s future, but he refuses, angered by her treatment of his daughter. Anand pushes Ganga Prasad, who feels dizzy, while Kailash Devi becomes anxious seeing a fire. She demands Manohar to kick Ganga Prasad out of the house.
