Diya Aur Baati Hum fame Aadesh Chaudhary reveals the reason behind his break from the small screen; says, “I was not happy with the content”

Aadesh Chaudhary, who is known for his role in shows like Diya Aur Baati Hum and Doli Armaanon Ki, has kept away from the small screen for the past four years. Aadesh who says that TV is his first love was trying to explore other platforms. The actor talked about it during a recent interview and shared that tv as a medium was not letting him grow as an actor.

Aadesh said, “Earlier the content was good on television, like my show Laagi Tujhse Lagan was very good. The makers used to work on the story, characters, and performances, but nowadays I don’t see that in most shows. When you work on TV shows, there is less time to improvise because it is all about telecast. Sometimes the shot is ready, but the script is not, so working on your craft becomes impossible. You have to deliver fast and there are many creative compromises. In OTT, you get time to develop your character, work on it and you get plenty of time to prepare.”

Aadesh who was last seen in Crime Patrol 2.0 talked about it also and added, “Crime Patrol 2.0 was a completely new format as they were showing a cop’s personal life too, but unfortunately I got injured. So I had to quit the show and then I decided to work on my skills as an actor and give more time to my family.”

The actor is now missing the sets and wants to get back in action. He shared, “I hope to bag a good role because an actor can’t sit at home for long. An actor needs a role which is meaty.”
