Television’s beloved couple, Divyanka Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya, are joyously celebrating eight years of marriage at an international destination. In an interview, the pair shared their pre-marriage thoughts, cherished memories, and the evolution of their relationship.
Reflecting on their wedding day, Divyanka and Vivek reminisced, “We were both busy with separate shows during our wedding. The most memorable moments were stealing time during shoot breaks to visit wedding trousseau stores, selecting outfits for each other, designing our wedding cards, and arranging the venue and decor together. Even our wedding pre-shoot helped build our chemistry.”
Divyanka opened up about her feelings before marrying Vivek, saying, “When Vivek and I were getting married, all I wanted was stability in a relationship and a friend to share life’s journey. I never expected to get more than I asked for. Looking at him, it feels like being nice is so easy. Why don’t people do it more often?”
Discussing how their relationship has evolved, the couple noted, “With time, we’ve realized the importance of flexibility and freedom. We don’t adhere to societal norms but share tasks and roles in a way that works for us.”
Sharing advice for young couples, Divyanka and Vivek emphasized, “Patience towards each other is crucial. You may find your partner’s habits unusual, but that’s because you come from different backgrounds. Acknowledging these differences is key.”
Divyanka and Vivek’s love story began on the sets of Yeh Hai Mohabbatein through common friends, with their families playing a pivotal role in their arranged marriage. Their relationship blossomed into deep love over time. The couple surprised fans with engagement photos on January 15, 2016, followed by their wedding in July 2016, attended by family and friends.
The couple hosted a grand reception in Mumbai, attended by industry luminaries like Karan Patel, Anita Hassanandani, Mahhi Vij, Deepika Singh, Vishal Singh, Gautam Rode, and Srishty Rode.
After their wedding in 2016, Divyanka and Vivek teamed up professionally on Nach Baliye Season 8 as Mr. and Mrs., participating in their first reality show and winning the trophy in 2017.
