Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah fame Disha Vakani’s brother Mayur Vakani quashes the reports of her throat cancer
Fans of Disha Vakani aka Daya ben from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah have been concerned with the recent reports about Disha suffering from throat cancer. Recently, a few media houses reported that the actress has been detected with throat cancer. Some of the reports also suggested that Disha is suffering from the disease because of her character Dayaben’s peculiar voice in the show.
Now during a recent interview with ETimes TV, Disha’s brother Mayur Vakani, who is known for essaying the role of Sundar on the show talked about it and quashed these reports.
Mayur said, “Aise bahut saare afwaayein aate rehte hain ismein koi sacchayi nahi hai. She is hale and hearty and nothing of this is true. Every day we get to hear baseless rumors about her but fans should not believe any of these.”
Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal, who plays Mrs. Roshan Singh Sodhi in TMKOC also talked about it in an interview and said, “I am in touch with Disha on and off and I don’t think this is true. Agar aisa kuch hota toh pata chalta. I spoke to her towards the end of August because we both stay in the same vicinity. We spoke about our daughter’s kathak classes, she sounded absolutely fine. I think these are just rumors.”
Talking about the show, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah recently witnessed the entry of Sachin Shroff who replaced Shailesh Lodha for the role of Taarak.
