Recap: drunk shivika
Anika said she has to go as sahil will be back from his friends place so she can’t stay for brunch. Shivru were disheartened, rudra pleaded her when saumya suggested that they could bring sahil here and he could join them for brunch. Anika hesitated at first but when om requested her, she said yes. Anika and rudra left to get sahil while shivaay and om cooked for everyone. It wasn’t much of a surprise for om when shivaay suggested they should have aloo puri today. Om knew the reason behind shivaay’s sudden love for indian food. Everything was ready by the time rudra anika and sahil returned. Shivaay was shocked to see sahil with crutches. He realized how rudely he had behaved with sahil, so he promised himself to make ammends. He went in the kitchen to prepare a special oreo shake for sahil.
Everyone gathered at the dining table.

Rudra: bhaiyya, aapne aaj indian banaya hai, vo bhi aloo {{you cooked indian food today, potatoes}}
Shivaay walked out of the kitchen and offered the shake to sahil
Everyone stared at him with astonishment and wonder. Anika was surprised
Om: kya baat hai shivaay, special shake {{wow shivaay, special shake n all}}
Shivaay: ha vo sahil pehli baar hamare ghar aaya hai {{sahil has come here for the first time so}}
Rudra: kya baat hai bhaiyya ye special treatment sahil k liye hi hai ya fir {{ oh so this special treatment is only for sahil right!}}
Shivaay: sahil k liye hi hai or maine usi k liye indian banaya hai {{yes it’s for sahil and i have made indian especially for him}}
Omru: acha shivaay {{really shivaay}}
Omrusaupri giggled while anika couldn’t look at shivaay. Everyone enjoyed the food, especially anika after all it was her favorite aloo puri.
Rudra: bhaiyya aap dosti bahut ache se nibhate hai, said rudra smirking. {{You really know how to look after your friends}}
Shivaay and anika looked at each other remembering the moment when shivaay held anika and promised to never let go. Neither wanted the other one to remember last night. They looked away avoiding eye contact. Anika asked sahil to get ready to leave disturbing his sweet talk with his saumya. They were about to go when shivaay offered to drop them. It was a quiet ride so shivaay decided to talk to sahil, they talked about his hobbies, school, favorite food etc. Anika was happy and a little surprised to see this side of sso. Even sahil couldn’t believe sso could change to sweet singh oberoi. When they reached, Shivaay helped sahil from the car to the house. Before leaving he bent down, caressed sahil’s hair and gave him chocolates. Sahil happily accepted ignoring anika’s constant warnings
Anika: Shivaay iski kya zarurat hai, aap kyu ise bigaad rhe hai. Sahil tere daant kharab hue to dentist k paas nahi leke jane wali mai

Sahil: are didi aap kitna bolti ho (shivaay laughed at this, who knew this better than him). Thank you sso {{offo, you speak too much sister. Thanks sso}}
Then he kissed sso on his cheek and went inside. Anika was shocked wondering how he’d react but shivaay happily got up and smiled wholeheartedly and left.
Later that day Shivaay remembered kissing anika while dancing. He was scared.

Shivaay pov: what have I done, what will she think that i tried to take advantage of her. Oh god, i hope she doesn’t remember it. Why did you kiss her man, she’s just a friend. Why can’t I control myself around her. I shouldn’t get involved with her. I know she’s done a lot for me and my family, she even exposed tia but that doesn’t mean there can be anything between us. She doesn’t have a lineage or a surname. We are just friends that’s it. I’ll have to talk to her about last night.
And so a tormented shivaay decided to call anika
Anika pov: oh god why did i tell him all of that and did i really miss him. I don’t know, i think i was just used to see him and fight with him each day that’s why i felt like I missed him. Last night shouldn’t have happened. I wish i had never gone there. But what about his gestures, he hugged me and said that he’d never let me go away and then he made my favorite food plus he was so nice to sahil. Ughhh stop it anika, forget about it, he did that cause he’s your friend. You don’t mean anything else in his life
Her chain of thoughts was broken by a phone call from Shivaay
Shivaay: mujhe tumse kuch baat krni thi, kal raat jo hua vo unintentional tha {{i need to talk to you, last night was unintentional}}
Anika: ha, us sab ka koi matlab nhi tha {{yeah, it meant nothing}}
Shivaay: ha exactly sab alcohol ki vajah se tha {{exactly, it was just because of the alcohol}}
Anika: ha, kha suna kia sab bekar tha, uska koi matlab nhi tha {{yeah, whatever we said or did was meaningless}}
Shivaay: matlab to hai (anika was shocked now) ek baat ka, hum hamesha friends to rahenge hi
{{Not really, i mean we will stay as friends forever}}
Anika: ha, ha bas vhi baki to bhul jate hai, jab matlab hi nhi tha kisi baat ka to kyu sochna itna
{{Hm everything else was nonsense, so let’s forget about it}}
Shivaay: ha, bilkul hm so okay. Jab bhi hum phone par baat karte hai, kuch na kuch awkward discussion hi ho jata hai, nhi? {{ Hm okay. Whenever we talk over the phone, it always ends up being awkward, don’t you think?}}
Anika: ha, pehle nhi hota tha{{ yeah, it wasn’t like that earlier}}
Shivaay: pehle to hum sirf ladte rehte the na, baat to kari hi nhi {{we never talked earlier, we only quarrelled}}
Both laughed at this
Shivaay: okay so bye friend
Anika: bye

The call was meant to relieve them from their uneasyness but on the contrary it made them sulky. Shivaay was trying hard to keep his feelings(which he certainly did not understand) under control while anika was trying hard to not think about him. A few days passed by but they did not contact each other. At last friday arrived, while going to the temple anika kept thinking about shivaay’s confession and about the slipper incident. She was wondering whether he’d come today or not. Her eyes kept on searching for him, but he didn’t show up. Her heart sulked, somehow she felt disheartened and she couldn’t understand why it mattered so much.
Days flew by and the next Friday arrived, he still didn’t come. She finally thought that maybe it was her imagination and he never said any such thing. Another week passed and still he didn’t come so she accepted that it was her imagination. The last 3 weeks,she often found herself staring at her watch. One day –
She came out of her room and there he was sitting on the sofa looking at sahil’s book
A: aap yha{{ you here}}
S: tum itna yaad kar rhi thi, aana hi pada {{ you were missing me so much, i had to come}}
A: mai, mai nahi to {{ me, no, not at all}}
Precap: oh god, shivaay is here. How did he know? Why didn’t he come to watch her dance?
