Devoleena Bhattacharjee schools the trolls for spreading hatred

Actress Devoleena Bhattacharjee has been on the receiving end of hate ever since she decided to get married to her gym trainer who is a Muslim. Not just her family, her fans too are miffed with this choice and her social media is flooded with trolls.  The Saath Nibhaana Saathiya actress has now reacted to trolls who are comparing her with Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt and claim that she got married in a hush-hush wedding as she is pregnant.

In an interview, Devoleena says, “I don’t need to justify anything to anyone, but there are people around who think that I’m pregnant and hence I got married all of a sudden. I’m shocked and feel sad for people who make such poor comments. This is another level of hypocrisy that you can’t let go of any single opportunity to torture someone. They can’t see anyone happy. It’s frustrating at times. Why does one need to poke so much into someone’s life? But later I laughed at these comments and let go. I seriously don’t know what is coming next.”

Talking further about her life, Devoleena says, “I never believe in compromising when it comes to work. I’m open to getting back to work and taking on a new project. And hopefully something interesting may happen soon. I pray 2023 rings in on a happier and prosperous note for everyone of us. I have a lot of expectations from the coming year. This year I couldn’t take work because of my health issues. But now I’m completely fit and fine.”

When asked if she is willing to take up more reality shows, she says, “I’m open to good projects be it reality or fiction. I am not open to Bigg Boss as of now anymore (laughs) but I don’t know, don’t go on my words. That house is special to me. So yes I’m looking forward to portraying some more promising and challenging roles. I’m keen to do new experiments with different shades of roles.”

The actress shares that marriage can’t be the reason behind saying no to bold roles, “I don’t think marriage can be an excuse for not doing bold roles. I have never done any such roles before. And TV doesn’t promote much intimacy till date. If in future they do or incase TV airs such content or I take a digital series, it will completely depend on the situation and the story. I will never do anything that is of no use. I would only sign a role that I’m comfortable with and my audience, family would appreciate me for,” concluded the actress.
