Abhi “ Mrs Pragya! Take off your hands!” He said loudly.
Pragya taking away her hands asked “ Mrs Pragya now?” He nodded his head in return and tried to hide his tears as much as possible.
Abhi stressing the words “ Yes MRS PRAGYA!” Pragya gulping her throat and wiping her tears said “ So Mr Abhi, now only u see me as MRS PRAGYA!” Abhi “ Yes…only now I got my mind cleared and know that u are married to my friend!”
Pragya “ Then what was all the hopes that u gave me?” She demanded.
Abhi remained silent.
Pragya “ Your silence never speaks Mr Abhi!”
Abhi “ As u said always DESTINY is always DISTANCING US!” Pragya “ Tell me that by facing me Mr Abhi! Tell me that by looking into my eyes!” She said firmly and Abhi tried to walk away but Pragya firmly held his hands which made it difficult for him.
Abhi “ Pragya…Ma is waiting for u at home…don’t create unnecessary drama here…You are my friend’s wife now and always…please leave…” He pleaded.
Pragya “ Why Abhi? Why? Whenever I said I can’t u said we can….and now…” She asked that by clutching onto his shirt.
Abhi slowly taking her hands off “ Pragya…try to understand, he changed for good…and we can’t go against him now…he needs love Pragya! And as far as I know u are the only one who can give it to him after knowing him all this years….” He said convincingly.
Pragya “ Listen Abhi! I can’t love him! I only love u!” She said sternly looking at him.
Abhi “ Pragya I have no feelings for u now! I have accepted that u are my Friend’s wife now!” Pragya “ Really?” Abhi “ Yes…” Pragya “ Then why are u holding my waist now?” He was holding her close to him by holding her waist.
Abhi took off his hands immediately and turned away.
Pragya “ You can’t hide your love towards me Abhi…you feel bad and jealous when I was close to Ranveer…you feel for me…you feel for your love towards me…”
Abhi remained silent again not knowing how to convince her. She went back inside the room and came back with her handbag.
Abhi wondered why there was silence and she came in front of him with her bag.
Pragya “ I came here to show u something…” She said as she took the photographs from her bag.
Abhi looked at her being confused.
Pragya “ The same day when I got a shock from Ranveer, I got a shock from that man…I mean the sir u used to be scared of… “
Abhi “ What’s that?” Pragya passed him the photographs to him.
Abhi looking at that was shattered but Pragya just smiled.
Abhi couldn’t understand why she was smiling as if nothing happened.
Pragya “ Are u wondering why am I smiling?” Abhi nodded his head.
Pragya “ These photos may be true as he said but I don’t believe them…”
Abhi “ Why Pragya? It clearly shows I…” Pragya silenced him placing her finger on his lips.
Pragya “ It could be true as he said u would have be the reason behind my marriage and everything that had happened….but…” She said that by looking intently at his eyes.
Abhi “ But?” Pragya “ But…I love you!” She said that cupping his face in her hand.
Abhi “ No…Pragya…please..” Pragya “ No Abhi…I love u to believe u…If u tell me then I will believe you…”
Abhi hearing that pushed her away “ Just leave me! You are my friend’s wife and nothing else!” Pragya saw him walking towards his room “ Wait!” She said loudly.
He stopped. Pragya “ Yes u are right….” Abhi let a sigh of relief. Pragya “ I am HIS FRIEND’s WIFE! Your WIFE! Let’s see how you’re going to avoid me when u are having difficulty to even face me and show hatred towards me!”
Abhi “ Pragya…please…don’t be difficult…let’s make it easy…We are not meant to be together…” He said trying to suppress his tears.
Pragya “ Let’s see Abhi how easily I would show u that we are meant to be together! It’s not that I am difficult! It’s u are being difficult for some reasons that u are not telling the truth to anyone!!!” She said that looking at his back and left the house.
Abhi, I gave too much of hopes to her which is backfiring me now! How can I convince her now?
Pragya reached the house and Ma saw her looking tired. Ma “ Why do u look so tired?” Pragya “ Nothing Ma…I will go and change first…” She entered the room and found her there reading a book.
Pragya “ You are here again? What’s your problem? Abhi had left and why do u have to roam here around?”
“ Pragya…I had left but then I came back in suspicious of something…that’s why I dressed up like u that day…and it helped us in a way right?” She replied and looked at Pragya.
Pragya “ I know…but how to help Ranveer? I can’t love him for sure!!!” She said sternly.
“ But I can love him right?” She said that by closing her book.
Pragya “ Are u serious? This is not right!” She said firmly.
“No Pragya…let me try…I will surely tell him that I am not Pragya but I still love him…” She said in a convincing tone.
“ But why? I mean why do u have to force yourself in loving him? Yes it will help us but it’s not fair to u na…” She said that in a worried tone.
“ Oh Pragya…I am not forcing myself yaar…From the day I came here, I have been noticing him….I do have an attraction towards him….” She said with a slight blush.
Pragya asked “ Are u telling the truth?” In return, she nodded her head with a gentle smile.
Pragya “ How do we convince Ma? I mean she will not agree to this…” She said in a tensed tone.
“ Oh Pragya! Please…it’s first Ranveer! We have to invoke the feelings of love in him…then we will see about Ma…who knows? May be he will be the one convincing Ma…”
Pragya “ How are u going to make him love u?” She asked doubtfully by frowning.
“Thank god! Now u are to the point!” She said with a sigh of relief.
She explained her plan and Pragya’s eyes widened in shock and she was keep on shaking her head as No!
“ Oh come on! We can do it!” She said.
Pragya “ It’s so risky! What if Ma comes inside this room! It’s her room!” She panicked.
“ Hello! Did u forgot? Now Abhi and Shalu’s marriage is cancelled. That means she can sleep with Shalu. You try to convince Shalu now…and then we can start our plan!”
Pragya “Okok! This is the first time I am telling lies to Ma in a back to back way!”
“ What’s your previous lie?” She asked with a smirk.
Pragya “ I asked Ranveer to say to her that I am going to meet my friend…” She said in a low tone.
“ Acha…you are right na…I mean Cutie’s friend is your friend too…” She replied in a teasing tone.
Pragya smiled in response.
“ Anyways…you freshen up now, and I am hungry! You know I have been waiting for u so long!” Pragya “ You could have asked Ma for food na…why do u have to stay here with empty stomach?” She asked with concern.
“ Excuse me…I was hiding myself here!! How can I ask food from her??” She replied.
Pragya realized her mistake and said “Sorry! Just give me two minutes! I will faster freshen up and then bring your lunch!”
She in response smiled and sat at the couch there.
Pragya was walking towards the closet and then turned back.
Pragya came near her and she looked up in surprise.
“ I am hungry yaar…and u are still standing here!!” She moaned.
Pragya sat beside her and hugged her by having tears.
“ Oh come on Pragya…why are u crying now?” She asked breaking the hug.
Pragya “ I never thought u would help me! What u are going to do is…” She couldn’t complete her sentence and continued sobbing.
“ Pragya…tell me how long I can be single? And after all Ranveer is a rich guy like me…then I should make him mine na….” She said by chuckling to lighten Pragya’s mood.
Pragya “ You want him just because he is a rich person like u?” She asked worriedly.
“ I am rich in heart…he is rich in wealth…with my love, I will make him be rich in heart as well!” She said with determination and smiled proudly.
Pragya “ You are unbelievable…I hope everything goes well…”
“Surely Pragya as Girl power rocks!” She said cheerfully by wiping Pragya’s tears.
Pragya stood up and said “ But remember be very careful towards Ranveer…”
“ I will handle all that but u better go and freshen up! I want my food!” She demanded.
Pragya “ Ok Boss!” She said smilingly and walked to the closet.
Pragya did managed to convince Shalu and Ma. Now it’s all about executing their plan.
Pragya coming with the tray of food to her room wondered where was she now?
“ Where are u??” She asked looking around.
“ Oh Pragya, it’s you! I was scared that it’s someone else..” She replied.
Pragya “ Okay….but where are u? I can only hear your voice…”
“ Wait! I am coming out…” She responded.
She with difficulty came out from the curtains.
Pragya giggled looking at her messed up hair.
“Why are u laughing?” She asked.
Pragya asked her to sit down on the couch and served the food to her.
“ You are still laughing? Why Pragya?” She asked.
Pragya patted her head to make sure her hair was not messy.
“ Oh…for this u were laughing ah?” She responded.
Pragya simply nodded her head and asked her to eat the food first.
Pragya looking at her eating “ Actually Ma looked at me weirdly when I said I want to eat in room…”
“Why?” She asked by munching her food.
Pragya “ I don’t usually eat in room…and she was worried, even she wanted to feed me!”
“ But u somehow convinced her na…Wait! Did u lock the door?” She asked with a tensed look.
Pragya “ Yes yes! That was the first thing I did after coming to room!”
She continued to eat peacefully and at times cracked silly jokes making Pragya smile as well.
“ Tell me one thing Pragya…I have been noticing why did u never call me by my name?” She asked by taking her last morsel of food.
Pragya just smiled in response and was taking away her plates.
“ Hey Pragya! U can call me by my name na!” She said.
Pragya “Well, you are so great in helping me even without knowing me well! I feel I have to know about u to call u by your name! Until then you are my Boss!”
“ Haan I don’t know u well but I know Abhi and your’s love story well na…” She said.
Pragya hearing Abhi’s name reminded of the way he behaved few hours back.
She could only let a silent tear and closed her eyes in the thoughts of him.
“ Pragya…tears won’t clear out the problems! I know now he is being difficult but we can make it easy!” She said convincingly.
Pragya “ Sometimes I feel we are not destined together of whatever is happening but at the same time when there is help getting from the people around me, I feel destiny is not distancing us but it’s trying to give a definition to our love…”
“ Don’t worry Pragya…both of you are selfless and that’s why every time u too are ready to sacrifice your love for each other. But did u notice? When you are ready to sacrifice your love then he did not let it to happen and when he is ready to sacrifice, now u are not ready to accept it!”
Pragya “Either one of us are holding onto our love for each other…” She said looking at the window.
“ Exactly! I am damn sure that both of u will not sacrifice the love for each other!” She said determinedly.
Pragya “ But what if it happens?” She asked worriedly.
“ Oh Pragya! All those around u have the confidence in your love! Then why are u talking like this? Be confident girl!” She encouraged Pragya.
Pragya “ Ok…” She said in a low tone.
“ One more thing…Abhi gets really affected by your touches…” She said with a smirk.
Pragya “ How did u know?” She asked with surprise.
“That’s not important! Why not u use that? Do u know what I mean?” She asked in a naughty tone.
Pragya blushed hearing that and tried to walk away.
She stopped her and whispered something into Pragya’s ears making her stunned.
Pragya “ How can I do that? It’s so…” She panicked by fidgeting with her ends of duppata.
“ Arrey…I know your love story, u tried to seduce him before na…that time he resisted so much that he hide from u!” She replied.
Pragya “ He shared this with u?” She asked.
“ No! U think he will share everything with me? Never! It’s my talent of finding things out!” She said proudly.
Pragya “Acha…but what u ask me to do is very difficult for me to do…” She said in a worried tone.
“ It’s difficult but it will make things easier…” She said with a wink.
Pragya tried to absorb what she had said and thinking about that Pragya could only blush badly in shyness.
“ Now u think of how to do what I have told and I am going to sleep for a while…Ranveer will only come back at 8 right?” She asked.
Pragya “ Yes how did u know this too?”
“ Oh come on Pragya! I am going to make him fall in love with me! So now every detail about him should be in my fingertips!” She said in a boastful tone
Pragya “ Okok! Take rest and I will go out now…” She replied and went out of the room.
Time passed, for Abhi he was feeling bad of being rude to Pragya. He tried to be rude but couldn’t as his love for her only knows how to be kind to her.
As for Pragya, she was getting tensed as the time was nearing 8 pm.
Pragya “ Ma…I go to my room now..I feel tired a bit, I want to lie down for a while…”
Ma “ It’s okay Pragya…u go and rest first, once Ranveer comes I will call u!”
Pragya “ No Ma…I will come down before he is here…”
Ma “ Pragya! Just listen to me! Go and rest! I will call u if not I ask Ranveer to come up and call u…If u think it will make me tired by walking up the stairs…”
Pragya “ Ok Ma, ask him to come up and call me….” She said that and went to walk up the stairs.
Ma, How weird? She didn’t deny Ranveer coming up to call her…does that means she is also fine with Ranveer’s decision? Is she giving another chance to him?
Pragya, Thank god! Ma never suspect me but still should be careful!
She opened the door and once again saw the room to be empty.
Pragya “ How many times will u hide behind the curtains?”
“ Why can’t u call and come in?” She said as she came out of the curtains.
Pragya shrieked “ What is this? You are wearing my favourite salwar kameez!!!”
“ Hello Pragya! Please don’t make noise! It’s just for a while…and for some time I have to wear like this…” She told by looking at the time.
Pragya worriedly“ But..this is…”
“ Wait! Is this Abhi gifted u?” She asked.
Pragya “ No!! Abhi only gifted a saree to me!”
“ Then what? Actually I don’t have time to change as he would be coming soon! You stay in the balcony and don’t try to come in whatever happens! Nothing will happen as it’s just talking to him but still I am telling u…”
She said hurriedly and pushed Pragya towards the balcony and locked the door.
She forgot to pass something to Pragya and very quickly she opened the door and throw it towards Pragya. Pragya catching it asked “ What is this?” She signalled her to wear on her ear and once again closed the door by locking it in a rush.
She switched off the lights and calmed herself down by drinking some water.
She sat on the edge of the bed and was waiting for Ranveer’s arrival.
Pragya wearing it around her ear “ What is this? To listen music?” She said loudly.
“ No Pragya! To listen what Ranveer is telling me!” She replied.
Pragya “ Oh…so whatever u all talking I can hear from here!” She said with excitement.
“Yes yes!” She replied.
Pragya “ But why did u lock the door..what if he misbehaves with u?”
“Excuse me! Why your mind is always thinking in the wrong way?” She asked.
Pragya “ No yaar…I am just scared na…”
“ If he really changed for good then he won’t misbehave with me…and also I won’t be like seducing him in the dark like this!”
Pragya “ Still worried…please be careful..”
“ Okok! I think he is coming! Keep quiet and listen carefully…”
Pragya remained silent from then onwards.
Ranveer slowly opened the door and she was acting to wake up hearing his footsteps.
Ranveer “ I am sorry…did I disturb your sleep?”
“No…” She responded.
Ranveer “ Ma said u were feeling very tired…Is it because of the shopping?”
“ No…I was just tired..” She said as he sat on the edge of the bed.
Ranveer “ Shall I bring your dinner here?” He asked caringly.
“ No! No…I am not hungry now..” She replied with panic.
Ranveer stood up and said “ At least let me on the lights…It’s so dark…”
Pragya hearing that panicked and was praying that Ranveer shouldn’t on the lights.
“ No…I mean…just sit here first…I want to talk to you..” She said in a pleasant tone.
Ranveer agreed to her and sat down.
“ I want to ask u something…” She said by adjusting her dupatta around her neck.
Ranveer “ Ok…what’s that?”
“What is love to you? I mean that day u felt that love is not in your life…but imagine if there is love in your life, then what does it mean to u?” She asked.
Pragya hearing that, What is she trying to get from this question! Let’s see what he tells.
Ranveer smiled and said “ I don’t know why are u asking this now….since u have asked let me tell what I feel about love….To me love is not about just being loving a person but also living for the person…Like all my life I should have the feeling that I can live for the person, like how I live for my parents and siblings. Yes I know I had been irresponsible and rude towards them but their love towards me makes it have the feeling to live with them….In fact, just recently I realized I love to live for them…”
Pragya hearing that was surprised of Ranveer’s feelings of love.
Pragya, Never knew that his feelings towards love would be so genuine and deep.
“ That means u want a love to live for it?” She asked for confirmation.
Ranveer “Yes but I know I won’t be able to get it now…Who will be like that towards me knowing about my past?”
“ That’s not an issue.. Someone might be waiting for u….” She told convincingly.
Ranveer brushed off the thoughts by a sarcastic laughter.
“ I am serious…I mean seriously someone will be waiting for you…” She again emphasized.
Ranveer “ Whatever Pragya…let’s see who is waiting for me…” He said hopelessly.
“ Just see…someone special will be waiting to become special to u…” She said pleasantly.
Ranveer smirked and said “ Leave all this…anyways I didn’t expect u to talk to me freely like this…I thought u will hesitate a lot…”
“ You never gave me a chance before na…if not I would have talked like this too…” She replied.
Ranveer “ You are right…by the way, let’s have dinner…it’s getting late…”
Pragya hearing that panicked and started to breath heavily out of fear.
“ No…Actually I had my dinner…” She said with hesitation.
Ranveer “ Are u telling the truth? Ma said u never had dinner and went to rest!” He told sternly.
“ Haan..I mean had something light for dinner…but u know Ma na always wants me to eat more…” She tried to manage the situation.
Pragya softly whispered “ Tell him that u will eat later with Shalu once she is back at home!”
She hearing that said “ Ok..”
Ranveer “ What ok?”
“ I mean ok if u want I can eat dinner…” She said
Ranveer “ That’s great…let’s go!”
“ No…I mean I will eat with Shalu! I said to her that I will accompany her!”
Ranveer doubtfully “ With Shalu? She will be only back at 10 or 11! Are u kidding me?”
“ Please…I really want to spend time with her…it’s been so long we ate dinner together!” She said and tried to persuade him.
Ranveer “ Alright…I will convince Ma…”
“ Thanks….” She said pleasantly.
Ranveer “ It’s my pleasure Pragya…by the way your floral perfume is very nice…” He said that and walked towards the door.
As he was about to close the door “ Even though we talk in the darkness, your voice and way of talking brightens my mood…”
She was keep on smiling of his compliment and was admiring him.
He closed the door but her thoughts on him was open like thousand doors to love.
Pragya finally let a sigh of relief and was wondering why she never come yet to open the door.
Pragya “ Boss! Are u there??” She asked.
She came back to senses and remembered Pragya is in balcony.
She quickly got up from bed and rush to unlock the door when Ranveer knocked the room door again.
“ Why is he knocking now?” She murmured.
Ranveer “ I left my phone inside Pragya…Can u pass it to me?”
She quickly opened the balcony door and took his phone from the bed.
“ Go and pass him!” She pushed Pragya towards the room door as she rushed and hid behind the curtains.
Pragya opened the door breathing heavily and Ranveer looking at her was surprised.
Ranveer “What happened? Did u run to get my phone? It was just there na…”
Pragya passing the phone to him simply nodded her head.
Ranveer “ Ok…but u could have taken your time to take it…Anyways thanks…”
Pragya was feeling very tensed as she was hoping he shouldn’t enter the room again.
Ranveer “ Bye! Have your dinner later…” He said that by weirdly looking at her tensed face and was about to turn back to walk away.
Pragya was about to close the door when he “ Pragya…Are u hiding something?”
Pragya was shocked and thought he found out the truth.
Ranveer “ You are hiding your good night from me!” He chuckled as he said that and Pragya let a faint smile.
Ranveer “ Good night!”
Pragya “ Same to u..”
Pragya finally saw him walking away.
She closed the door and locked it. Pragya let a deep sigh of relief and thanked god for saving her from blabbering.
