It all depends on my family- A DevAkshi FF: Part 5

Hey guys, I am back with the next part of my FF. At last, my exams are over.. I am free. So, I’ll post regularly from now on.

RECAP: Sonakshi slips and falls because of Ishwari, twists her leg. Dev and Sonakshi come closer. Dev overhears Ishwari, and gets to know that she is the one trying to get Sonakshi out of the house.

Dev (shocked, in his mind): Maa aisa kaise kar sakti hain?! Sonakshi, itni acchi ladki hai, aur maa usse nikalne ki koshish kar rahi hain! (How can Maa do this? Sonakshi is such a nice girl, and Maa is trying to get her out of the house!) I’ll first have to tell Sonakshi.
Dev rushes up to his room, where Sonakshi is sitting.
Sonakshi: Mr. Dixit? Aap vapas aa gaye? (You came again?) What happened?
Dev: Dr. Bose..

Sonakshi: Bataiye, kya hua? (Tell, what happened?)
Dev: Dr. Bose….. (he tells her everything). Maa is the one trying to get you out of this house.
Sonakshi (shocked): Kya?!
Dev: Please forgive me, Doctor.
Sonakshi: No, Mr.Dixit, aapki galti nahi hain. Don’t worry! I’ll make sure that Maa…. I mean Auntyji.. will start liking me really soon!
Dev: And, I will help you!
Sonakshi: Aap??
Dev: Of course, main aapki help karunga.
Sonakshi: Ok…
Dev: Toh, are we friends? (extends out his hand)

Sonakshi (smiles): Ok!
Dev: I am sure, yeh ‘Mission Nutritionist’ hum zaroor pura karenge.
Sonakshi smiles, and they both clap hands, first low, and then high. (like friends do)
Sonakshi: So, Mr. Dixit, the…..
Dev: Call me Dev…
Sonakshi (smiling): So, Dev, how do we convince Auntyji?
Dev: Dr. Bose, let’s….
Sonakshi: Call me Sonakshi.

Dev (laughs): Accha Sonakshi, let’s think.
After thinking for a long time:
Dev: Sonakshi, Maa loves halwa….
Sonakshi: DEV, I AM A NUTRITIONIST!
Dev: Oh sorry! *makes a puppy face*
Sonakshi: Any healthy food that she likes?
Dev: Haan, unhe poha bohot pasand hai! Wo banao, wo tumhe fatafat pasand karne lagegi.
Sonakshi: Ummmm….Dev.. mujhe cooking nahi aati…
Dev: Kya???! Buddhuram kahin ki!
Sonakshi (playfully hits him): Shut up! Jaise ki tumhe kuch banana aata hai!
Dev: Accha suno, Maa, Vicky, Neha, Ria, Nikki, aur Ranveer, sab bahar gaye hain. Keechu bhi kuch saman laane gaya hai.
Sonakshi: So?
Dev: So, idiot, let’s try to make this poha together!
Sonakshi: Accha thikh hai, chalo.

They rush to the kitchen.
Dev: Ok, I’ll find the recipe on the internet.
He finds it, and they look at the recipe.
Sonakshi: Ok, pehle two peanuts.
Dev: Here, jaldi.
Sonakshi: Isse crunchy banana hai… roast karna hai.
Dev: Ok.
As they continue, suddenly the doorbell rings.

Sonakshi: Shit! Sab log aa gaye kya?
Dev (opens the door): Oh, tum ho! (he kisses whoever is standing at the door) I love you!
Sonakshi (surprised): Does he have a girlfriend? But why am I feeling so jealous? Ughhhh! Ok, let me see who it is.
As she goes to the door, she feels really foolish, as the girl is Sara (Neha’s daughter)
Sara: Sona Aunty!! (she runs and hugs her)
Dev (surprised): Tum isse kaise janti ho??
Sonakshi: My nephew, Samar is her best friend.
Dev: Samar is your nephew?! Arey, if we knew that, we would have been friends for a long time!! Sara is my niece, Neha’s daughter.

After a discussion,
Sonakshi: Ab chalo, poha abhi tak bana nahi hai!
Dev: Arey haan! Sara, will you join us in ‘Mission Nutritionist’?
Sara: Of course!
