A source close to Dalljiet expressed outrage, stating, “It’s embarrassing how this man is flaunting his cruelty and being proud of it. She had torn her saree to become a part of his life forever. It had a lot of emotional value as it was a saree given to her by her mother on her wedding day. Even the cloth that Nikhil’s sister tied during the gathbandhan was turned into a lamp shade, meant to be a lifelong memory. Instead of honoring these memories, Nikhil chose to destroy them.”
