Prologue:
Yash Nirag stood near the chilly balcony of his royal glass palace, coughing vigorously and trembled slightly as he sensed his health worsen. Being one of the 7 trillionaires of the world, he managed to buy out Asia with his money and change it into the Great Nirag. A sturdy cough hit him again, throbbing his chest and making him lunge for water. After consulting a doctor about his bad health, he found out that he had hardly any time left. Insecurity of his children, guilt of not able to fulfill his wife’s promise, and worry about Nirag didn’t let him live his end in peace.

“Dad?” he heard his son cry out in worry, Yash watched his son run towards him with extreme tension and innocence covering his face.

“Come here son,” he instructed warmly as he engulfed the 10 year old in a warm, tight hug.

Another stiff cough filled his mouth as he took out a precious piece of sapphire gem and handed it to his son, whose eyes were gleaming with curiosity, “This is for you, no matter what protect it,”

“But dad, what it is it?” he enquired with confusion as he examined the gem cautiously.

Yash admired his son’s pure innocence as he cleared his bewilderment, “The Chief will show it to you when the time comes but for now keep it with you,”

Yash’s face lit with a tight smile as his son questioned boggled, “But why are you giving it to me now?”

Yash chuckled lightly which was immediately covered up with coughs, but he managed to utter, “You will know that when the times comes too, now go back and play with your sisters,”

Ansh gave him a tight hug before strolling away into the corridor after saying innocently, “Okay,”

Yash watched his son’s image fade away into darkness and worry pricked into him in no time. Will he be able to protect the gem? What will Ansh think of him when he realizes the true nature of society?

Chief of Nirag lay lifelessly in a gloomy state in his death bed. After serving 60 years at the City of Nirag, he could now die peacefully once he passes on the master’s message to Ansh. It has been 8 years since the death of his master and he could still remember the day like it’s been a few weeks. The leeched face, the blood stained lips, the weak fingers: a tragic death indeed.

He sighed as his anxiety shut itself when Ansh appeared at his doorstep with the twinkling gem in his hand, “Remember, how your dad asked you to keep the gem safe?”

Ansh curtly nodded and helped the Chief on his feet while he further said in a frail tone, “Today, on your 18th birthday, I want to show you what that secret is,”

The Chief and Ansh strode alertly down the dark corridor of the glass palace with the night lights flickering, a soft music humming in the background of the party hall and moonlight casting its dim light through the glass. Chief led Ansh through a pair of corridors abandoned for 20 years with the rugged tiles, greasy walls and indigenous dust before stopping at the third door to the right.

Chief silently and slyly slipped into the room, revealing a magnificent grey vault located at the centre of the room and indicated Ansh to place the gem in the 8th hole of the vault. With the little strength he had, he turned the vault around, 4 times to be precise, going as slowly as possible for Ansh to learn the pattern. On the 4th turn, he punched in a code of the master’s name and opened the door of the vault.

“Woah,” Ansh mumbled as white light emerged from either side of the huge vault and encountered with the shock of his life as he glanced at the contents in the vault.

“You have to protect this at any cost, if not, this will start the next annihilating war,” Chief declared darkly in a persistent voice and a serious face as he stared into the eyes of Ansh, peeking right at his soul.
