The state of Maharashtra is under lockdown again because of the fresh wave of the coronavirus. The government has imposed restrictions on shoots as a result the production houses of all the shows have been told to put a halt to the shooting.
Though, the production houses have come up with a solution and are shifting their base to other cities outside the state of Maharashtra to continue with shoots. Still, the travel time will cause a lack of episodes for some time.
Colors have took it as an opportunity and are all set to re-run the show that gave them the required attention when they needed it the most. The channel have announced on their Instagram handle that they will re-run Balika Vadhu.
Balika Vadhu was amongst the first few successful shows of Colors. The show gave hype to the channel. Balika Vadhu highlighted the issue of child marriage. The show gave instant popularity to the cast. Anandi and Jagya played by Avika Gor and Avinash Mukherjee respectively became an integral part of the audience’s life.
The show also gave the industry phenomenal actors like Shashank Vyas and Pratyusha Banerjee.
