Star Plus’ popular show Imlie has been an underdog since day one. The show has managed to retain its spot in the top 5 for the longest time. While it does face competition from Colors’ Udaariyaan, the loyal fan following of the show maintains their love and support for the show.
According to the latest report actress Piya Valecha is about to enter the show. The actress who was recently seen in Choti Sarrdaarni will play a pivotal role in Imlie’s life.
In a recent interview with India Forums talked about it and shared, ”I am very excited to be doing Imlie. My track and I am very important for Imlie and her career in her new job.”
She adds, ”It’s good to be in the news, and what else is better than to be in news for the best Star plus show. Imlie is one of the TRP toppers and my own personal favorite show. I have been wanting to work with Gul Ma’am for long and 4 lions for few years but somehow, things would not work and I am very thankful to the makers to give me a very important role in the show to be around the main leads and storyline.”
Produced by Gul Khan, Imlie features Sumbul Touqeer Khan and Gashmeer Mahajani in the lead roles. The series is a loose adaptation of Bengali series Ishti Kutum.
