CHAPTER-5

“How can u make him understand…when u don’t know d whole story…?” Suman says sadly…..she doesn’t know what she is doing….she is telling Shravan her deepest secrets…her deepest regrets…..her pain…her past…..y?…he isn’t that close to her….Yaah she nd he talk…but she never thought that he could be someone…whom she would be sharing everything wid…..

“I know that u both hve a past together….nd u tried ur level best to not let it affect ur present…this much is enough for me to give a try..to make everything good for ur future….” Shravan replies without looking at Suman….he is staring at d lake…trying her method….seeing whether it really helps to soothe d mind or no…..it is not that simple for him…as he said…..when Aditya told him abt d past…not everything..but enough…one night on d college terrace….he did not know that this past of their’s was going to bother him…..he does not know d reason..he is trying…trying very hard…to get an answer….

” D story is not d same for everyone…its just d plot….we make our own story nd views using the plot nd characters….but at d end…its our imagination which rules….I m sure u also must have formed some thoughts…positive.. negative..but some thoughts..which r ur own….” Suman says…hoping that Shravan will understand that there is her side of story too…but Shravan is still thinking about what she said….” What r my thoughts..? Positive? Negative?..or neutral?…. What story do I want to make?…”
Suman decides not tell him…nd let him get it on his own…now she really has just one question in mind…..” Do u really know me?”

Suman and Shravan spend d evening like that only…staring at d lake…feeling each other’s presence….listening to each other’s breaths….trying to read each other’s thoughts….hoping that they would be able yo help each other….

Next day… Shravan decides to talk to Aditya….in d evening….
The boys r playing football….when Suman nd Shravan come there… They stand at distance from them…
” Suman…u shouldn’t have come here to listen….u should go… I promise that I will manage…..if adi sees u then….” Shravan says trying to convince Suman….he didn’t want to c d pain in her eyes…if adi told something…..but he knows that she will never go…so he just stares at her helplessly..for d expected answer….nd she says it..” No I will not go…I will stand here only…I will not come in front of him”

Shravan looks into her deep brown eyes which showed fear… anxiety… longing…. stubbornness ..all at d same time….
It all felt good to him…as long as those eyes were looking him into his eyes….as long as they didn’t look down.…
” Ok…” He says…nd goes from there…
Suman stands there behind a wall…her heart pounding fast…her breaths.. Full of tension….” What will happen now….I shouldn’t have done this…I shouldn’t hve let Shravan get involved in this…” Her mind is filled wid all d questions….when she sees Shravan coming wid Aditya…. They sit on a bench near d wall…from where..Suman is hidden but she can see nd hear them very clearly….

” Hey Shravan… what’s up?…wanna join us for a match…?” Aditya says, patting his face wid a towel….nd picking up his bottle….nd sipping water from it…
Suman can hear everything….” He is acting so normal….. But is he really so from inside?… whom is he trying to fool… d world or himself?” Suman thinks…
” No, Adi… not today… now I m here for something else…” Shravan says….bringing seriousness to his voice….making Adi look at him wid attention….Shravan doesn’t know how he is going to put it….his mind is occupied wid just one question….’ Suman is listening… don’t hurt her’…
Suman so much wanted to go nd hold Shravan’s hand…nd bring him back…nd suddenly a fear fills her….”Am I doing another mistake?”

” Say ” Adi says…just one word…’say’ it keeps ringing is Shravan’s head….until d sound becomes too loud and he has to shake his head….to get over it…
Aditya gives him a look…which a person gives when he is afraid nd confused at d same time….when he thinks that d person sitting in front if him is dangerously mad….
” I m not mad…” Shravan says getting irritated…
Does he really need to do this… He is not really good at this…. He can fight.. But never even dream of resolving a fight…that too when both sides r so important to him…but he chose his side when he told Suman that he is going to try his level best….he takes a deep breath….
Suman is still occupied wid d fear…when another voice speaks inside her…” This was d best chance….u could hve let him move on…” really could she have let him…did she do another mistake….by not rectifying d very first ?
