THE CHOICE – CHAPTER 1

Hello my amigos….!! Angel wanted me to post on sunday…so just for her…I m posting this epi a little bfr my scheduled date…one more thing i forgot to add in d intro was that…this story is more from suman’s point of view….so i want lots nd lots of comment…otherwise i wont continue….tell me if u want so….so here i begin…..

CHAPTER-1
Its evening…d sun is setting down…nd d night is wrapping its arms around d sky…there’s a lot of rush….boys nd girls..hanging in groups…chatting…laughing…. Nd doing all sorts of stuff…
In this noise…a girl wearing white crop top and black pants is moving quickly wid some books in her hands…her wavy brown hair is tied in a loose pony…she looks in a hurry… she has minimal makeup on her face…she is what people would define as- Beauty in simplicity….there’s nothing great about her looks…but she is different….she stands out….maybe bcoz she is tall…taller than d girls of her age….but no…its not d height…its d personality….. Those eyes refuse to look down…she loves to look into people’s eyes when she talks…its a sign of confidence….according to her..

Suddenly someone calls out from behind…” Hey Suman! ”
Suman closes her eyes nd sighs wearily…she always loves this time…its her time.. When her lectures r over nd she is free from studies for some time….in her whole college day routine….this is d time when she loves to be alone…night time….she always manages to give some excuse to her friends nd slip away…to her hostel room…or somewhere more peaceful….but now she feels irritated…she doesn’t like to talk wid anyone at this time…but now she has to….she turns around to see who has called her….

A guy…pretty tall is standing there…waving his hand at her….he is wearing….dark blue T-shirt nd jeans…His hair is black…nd as wind blows in his face…they move slightly…sweat is shining on his forehead…it looks..as though he has run a long distance…although he is panting….he is beaming at her…between his tired breaths…
” Oh its u Aditya…” She smiles at him…he is one of those few people…whom Suman loves to be wid…he has same interests like her…nd that’s what Suman likes about him…he is artistic…loves to read books…plays various sports nd knows how to make people comfortable in his presence….there r times..when Suman nd he paint nd play together….they discuss books…nd love to tease each other wid someone…he is Suman’s best guy friend…they can talk for hours nd never get tired..
“Yeah…I m so sorry..I know u like to be alone now..its just that I didn’t want to hang out wid d grp …so I thought to meet u….” says Aditya panting…
“Y r u breathing so heavily….?…hve u been running..or working out lately?”
” Naah..I wanted to find u before I lost u…so I ran all d way till here…I m sorry if I disturbed u…”Aditya says….
” Hey..no need to be sorry…its fine…u can come wid me” she replies smiling at him. Aditya looks hesitant….nd he gives her a ‘ r u sure’ look.. wid raised eyebrows…
” Oh com’on adi…don’t be stupid…u hve joined me bfr also…come…its gonna be no prblm…” saying this.. She holds his hand nd drags him wid her…

Aditya is smiling….as if he knew this was going to happen….he lets her pull him..coz he is tired…very very tired…nd her touch is relaxing…it has always been…
They both start walking towards some place….finally they reach..its there favourite place….they come here often….its a small lake…away from d noise of d college…its surrounded by trees….nd its looking beautiful as d sky is being reflected in d water in d lake…giving it shades of orange….Suman had discovered it in d initial days…when she first came here…she loves finding her own small corners…away from d noise….
Suman nd Aditya move near a big mango tree…nd sit under it…like they always do when they come here…..
“Adi…I can’t believe we hve grown up…I mean we r in college…same college!.. I can’t believe it” Suman says looking at d lake…she closes her eyes…nd d cool evening breeze hits her face….she is revisiting her old days….its been only a month since she came here…this place is still new to her….but still she has managed to merge in…Aditya nd she had been friends from school…nd she was elated when he told her that he also got admission in d same college…she is so happy…that finally she is nearing to her dream…..she always wanted to be an artist..in fact she was born to be one….her paintings reflected something more than colors…they reflected emotions….those bold strokes of brush had some story to say….she has already decided that she is going to work as a free lancer….where she will not be under any stress…any conditions….where she would be free to express….she feels that art is an expression..which cannot be taught….
“Oh hello madam…wake up…” Aditya says nd shakes Suman.
“Oh…what happened…..can’t u let me be at peace” Suman snaps back.
” How much peace do u wish for..!” Aditya asks irritated…
” I need it..as much as d sky…..endless” Suman says dreamily..
” Then what m I supposed to do…stare at u?…while u dream” Aditya retorts.
” That’s y I tell u…find ur true love…then u can be busy wid her….instead of irritating me…nd…” Suman stops mid sentence….she knows…she shouldn’t hve said that….Aditya’s face has lost its smile….nd it turns hard….
Suman says ” Um..I..I m so sorry…I didn’t mean that”
But Aditya doesn’t reply…. Suman curses herself from within…..” Oh Suman… Y did u say that…! You know d truth… Then y did u do this.”
