The Episode starts with Bhagat throwing the smoke bomb in assembly. Everyone tries to run. Bhagat throws the posters and chants for freedom. Chandra stays tensed and thinks of Bhagat. He shouts Bhagat. The officer checks the poster. Bhagat asks the britishers to go back. Sarforoshi ki tamanna…..plays…. Bhagat and Batukeshwar get arrested. They happily go to police station. They are sent to Lahore jail. Chandra sits tensed till morning. Rajguru gets food. Chandra asks him to go. Rajguru asks him to have food. Chandra says I m not hungry, I don’t want to have food. Rajguru asks how will this help, you are our inspiration, how will we fight if you sit in darkness. Chandra says when will that day come when britishers leave this country. Rajguru says have food, you will get good thoughts. Sukhdev comes and says yes, he is right, you forgot us when Bhagat left, Bhagat is fav of all of us, he has just gone to jail, he will come. Chandra says fine, I will have food. They ask him to leave from the room and have food. Chandra smiles and agrees.
Bhagat and Batukeshwar reach the jail. Rang de basanti….plays…. Bhagat says our faces will become like this jail in coming time. He laughs. They get locked in the cell. Bhagat says there is bad smell and darkness too, I don’t get scared of darkness. John asks Jai did he understand, he has to break Azad and other men’s unity. He leaves Jai. Tasduk says Jai will gain their sympathy. John says yes, he will create doubts in their minds against each other, his stupidity is his strength, he looks innocent, they will believe him, Veer doesn’t look trustworthy. Tikaram says if he can break in front of us, what’s the guarantee that he won’t break in front of Azad.
Tasduk says Azad is very clever. John says we sent a man from outside, but this man is already an insider. Tikaram taunts John and says I was just admiring you. The officer tortures someone in jail. The prisoners get scared seeing the torture. Jai comes back. Rajguru asks him who has done this. Jai says one of us is a traitor. Rajguru asks what are you saying, have water, I will get the aid. He goes. The officer sees Bhagat’s name and goes to him. Bhagat says britishers have snatched our childhood. Officer taunts him. Bhagat says I m a devotee of country, these britishers are devil to make you against own country. The man says I heard a lot about you, I will not spare you.
He threatens Bhagat. He holds Bhagat’s neck and says you will know Genda Singh soon, I treat terrorists like you, you have to bend down else you will curse yourself, you will get mad. Bhagat says let us be mad, we want to be mad, freedom fighters are often called mad.
