Man: Yes mam. How may I help you?
Pragya: Err..actually I asked my friend to buy some groceries from here for my restaurant…I think the receipt got misplaced and I am having the wrong receipt.
Man: Oh that’s not an issue mam, you can tell the date of purchase and I can try to retrieve the receipt you want!
I never even bought from here then how does he expect me to tell the date of purchase?
She thought that by biting her lower lip.
Man: Are u there mam?
Pragya: Wo…I am not sure and my friend is out of town…
Man: Oh then I am sorry mam…we can’t help that much without date or serial number….
Pragya: No! I mean I have the wrong receipt and the date is also faded…the serial number is 100117
Man: That’s great let me check whether we have any receipts other than that. But it may take some time to check.
Pragya: Sure I can wait.
Man: I will call u back later…
The call ended and Pragya waited for the return call.
Man: Mam, surprisingly on the date of receipt u had mentioned there is only one purchase which is from Mehra catering.
Pragya: Why is that so? I mean my friend said he did bought groceries.
Man: It was a public holiday mam, we will only allow purchases from our regular clients….
Pragya: Oh ok….I think his mind should be really misplaced….anyways thank you for the help!
With that call ended and Pragya looked at the receipt.
That means he is from Mehra catering…Maybe he works for it….
Pragya called Anita to discuss about this and Anita was surprised hearing it.
Pragya: What do u think Ani?
Anita: Sounds interesting…
Pragya: Interesting? It’s not Ani! It’s irritating!
Anita: For you it’s irritating but to me it’s a interesting irritation…
Pragya: Hmm….
Anita: Haan…
Pragya: I will find him! Watch out Ani!
Ani chuckled hearing her and said: You are cute Dodo!
Pragya: Hey Ani! I am very much serious about this…he spoilt my Germany trip for nothing!
Anita: Everything happens for a reason…
Pragya: Every worst reason happens for me in this season!
Anita giggled making Pragya irritated.
Pragya: I am going to check about Mehra catering and find that psycho!
Anita: For what?
Pragya: Revenge!
She said by gritting her teeth.
Anita: Don’t u think your revenge should be reverse…I mean by right he should be doing it na…
Pragya: Who knows? Maybe he is making me to do all this keeping that in mind!
Anita: You are just overthinking Pragya…
Pragya doubtfully : Did he ever mention about me? As in he got share about anything marriage proposals?
Anita smilingly: I am saying he never even mention his name and u are asking me something personal about him! I only know all this after u told Pragya…
Pragya looked confused and said : Oh..ok…bye!
Anita: Wait! Before u end the call tell me what u are going to do!
Pragya: Hmm…I don’t know…Going to check about Mehra catering first and then will be thinking how to find him!
As for Abhi he was again in the hunt of girls. He was not at all interested as his interest lies in Pragya’s reply of yes. Yes he knew she was in love with Suresh but he can’t let her go. He was also not sure of why he feels this much of expectation of her answer.
Life is so miserable….I guess she is not over with Suresh and I am not over with her either…
As he was immersed in those thoughts thinking and looking at an empty glass, he heard a familiar voice.
Is that her? Is she here? Or am I imagining?
He quickly turned behind and checked.
Omg! She is really here! I have to listen carefully to what she is talking now!
Lady: As u can see, it’s clear that the person u said is not working at Mehra catering…I have shown u the entire database of staffs and none of them match to the person u have shown!
Pragya: Right…but how?
Lady: May be he works for Mr Prem…
Pragya: Then how? I mean how to find him?
Lady: Hey Buddhu Dodo! Who are u?
Pragya: Pragya…
Lady: I am asking as in your profession…
Pragya: Journalist…
Lady: Haan so u can arrange an interview with Mr Prem and try to find out who is he too…
Pragya with grin: That’s a cool idea!
Lady sarcastically: I seriously don’t understand how u became a journalist….
Pragya: That’s an accident! You don’t have to interfere in it!
Lady: Ok fine…all the best!
Pragya: Thanks and I owe u a treat for this help!
She said that and stood up from her chair. Abhi quickly took a magazine beside him and covered his face with that.
He noticed them until both left and let a deep sigh of relief.
Acha…that means she is planning so fast to find me! Why this much of desperation? Never mind….but fate is with me and it’s not that easy for her to challenge it!
A few days later,
Pragya walked into Mehra house and heard loud noises of a woman’s voice scolding.
She looked at the direction and saw Abhi being harshly scolded by a woman and he was looking down in a pathetic face.
Psycho being scolded? That’s different from what I expected.
Jaya: How many times I have told you boy? How can u be so irresponsible and break this? What if sir sees this now? He will surely kick u out of this house!!!
Boy? Does he look like a boy? He is a man!! That too like a huge man!!
As Pragya was thinking that way, she stood there in hope that someone will acknowledge her presence.
Abhi whispered: Jaya ki Jai!
Jaya hushed: Sssh…u don’t try to divert my scolding!!!
Abhi smiled inwardly and continued having his face with sadness.
Oh god! How long she will scold him? And why the hell is he standing like a statue? I could see he is working for her but that doesn’t mean he have to endure her insults!
Pragya walked up the stairs and she stopped Jaya from raising her hand on Abhi.
Jaya: WHO ARE YOU?
Pragya: That doesn’t matter but if u continue to scold him in this way then I will surely have to report u to police!
Jaya let a sarcastic smile and Pragya turned furious seeing it.
Abhi very pathetically: Pragya…she is my Boss…
Pragya: So what? That doesn’t mean she can scold u non-stop!
Jaya: Are u his girlfriend to be so emotional?
Pragya was taken aback and without thinking a second said: That’s none of your business!
Jaya: Excuse me…you are at my house!
Pragya: NS! Come with me now!!
She said that aloud and waited for his reply.
Abhi still looked worried.
Pragya: I am saying come with me now!!
Her voice was even more louder as she looked at her and held his hands.
Abhi liked this as she bring him out of his house thinking that he is working in this house. All along, he was fully admiring the dashing Dodo who looks absolutely cute in her anger.
Pragya standing outside the house looked at him smiling.
Pragya: Why are u smiling?
Abhi: No…u helped me to be out of hell….
Pragya: NS…if this is what u are going through all this while then u really have to change!
Abhi: I will try…
He said that by shrugging his shoulder.
Change? Or Challenge Pragya? Let’s see how u will change me as I wanna challenge you to be my fate…..
He said that to himself as he saw Pragya calming herself down by drinking water from her bottle.
To be challenged….
