He pulled me over towards him and in his forceful pull I was pushed down onto the floor and he was still hugging me and we were rolling over on the floor.
I was not sure how many times we rolled but it was an indescribable feeling to me.
Finally the rolling stopped and I was on top of him looking into his eyes.
Damn! Again his eyes is so haunting!
“ Pragya! Are u ok?” He asked with concern.
“ Fine…” I said in a confused tone looking at him and adjusting my attire.
I was struggling to stand up and he realizing that asked me to wait first.
I wondered why he asked me to wait as I have to stand up! How long I can be lying on top of him?
He slowly still covering my head with his hand moved sideways and now signalled me to get up from him.
I looked at the place we were lying before and realized that we were under some seats. Oh no wonder he made sure I don’t get hit by the seats if I stand up. I could only smile in return feeling how considerate he was.
“ Do u always walk like this? Like when u walk u don’t hear or realize what’s behind u?” He asked.
“ No..I was just thinking and walking…” I said in a low tone.
“ If I never saw the trolleys in a row was pushed out and was moving towards u then u would have been hit by it badly.” He said by looking at me.
As he said that, I thought it would be better to be hit by trolleys instead of rolling over on him.
“ Are u here?” He asked.
“ Yes..sorry… and thanks…” I said looking at him.
“ It’s alright. Will u check whether the taxi had arrived?” He asked me.
That’s when I realized my phone was not with me. I should have dropped it while rolling just now. I looked around on the floor.
“ It’s with me…” He took it out of his pocket.
I was like clueless, he even took my phone while this was happening! He took me in his hands as well as my phone!
I smiled reluctantly at him and took the phone from him.
I called Bulbul but there was no response. Then I checked my messages and that’s when I saw her message saying that Jaguar will be there in 20 minutes.
The time of message was at 7.00 pm and now the time is 7.15 pm. I looked at him and said “ He should be here soon!”
He said he would take my hand luggages and his too. He also asked me to wait outside the airport and he will find his way to the taxi that would be arriving.
I agreed to his help and looked around. It’s the worst feeling just now when some unknown people have seen u rolling over a man! I quickly made my way out telling myself it was not intentional and he just wanted to help me!
As soon as I reached out, I saw Jaguar standing there with a smile. I ran towards him and smiled.
Pragya: Jaggu Bhai!! How are u?
Jaguar: Pragya please…don’t call me Jaggu Bhai! If not I will call u Dodo!
Pragya was taken aback of how he knows the name Dodo!
Jaguar with a smirk: Bulbul informed me of your nickname.
Pragya mentally scolded Bulbul for publicizing this Dodo name.
Jaguar: Anyways I heard some handsome hero is coming with us.
I don’t know why when Jaguar mentioned handsome hero, his face came in front of me and I smiled crazily.
Jaguar: Is he that handsome?
Pragya came back to senses.
Pragya: Not really Jaggu…you will see how he looks…He is getting my hand luggages for me..
Jaguar: Acha…So we are heading to Jejuri?
I nodded my head and he walked towards us by carrying the hand luggages and my hand bag.
Jaguar whispered: Oh Pragya! Have u found a guy or what after heartbreak? He looks very well-built and much better looking than that Suresh!
Pragya: Sssh…nothing like that!
Abhi reached where they were and smiled at Jaguar.
“ Shall we leave?” He asked with a smile.
“ No introduction?” Jaguar asked.
Now he will surely have to introduce himself! I was waiting what would he say as his name.
“ Call me NS! I will tell u more about myself during our travel. I hope u know that now I am in a hurry to meet my mum who is lost. I hope she is fine there.” He said worriedly.
“ Oh sure NS! That’s a cool name too! Let’s go! Don’t worry I will try to drive there as soon as possible.” Jaguar replied with assurance.
I gasped hearing this and was little disappointed but I know it’s not that easy to get information from this man.
He sat in the seat beside Jaguar and I sat at the back seat of the car.
Soon our journey started and Bulbul called me.
Bulbul: Dodo! Did Jaguar came?
Pragya: Yes
Bulbul: So how was the waiting time for Jaguar? Especially with him?
Pragya: Fine
Bulbul: Where are u now?
Pragya: Taxi
Bulbul: Why are u answering one word answers? Wait let me guess! Is it because that NS is around?
Pragya: Yes
Bulbul in naughty tone: Any awkward moments Dodo?
Pragya in a low tone: Yes
Bulbul in excitement: Oh no Dodo! What happened? Can u tell me now?
Pragya loudly: No.
Her loud no made Jaguar and Abhi to turn and look at her. She in return smiled lightly and said “ Phone call!”
Jaguar: That we also know Pragya…but why all one word answers? Did u run out of words?
He said that and laughed loudly. Abhi too laughed hearing that.
Nobody knows what I am going through! That’s what I feel like and shouting at them. I wished to do that but couldn’t. I again let a fake smile and continued my conversation with Bulbul.
Bulbul: Shall i tell Ma that u are with Jaguar and NS?
Pragya shrieked: No!
Bulbul: Why? She would understand na…I mean u are helping right. So why not just inform her?
Pragya: No means no!
Bulbul: Oh god! Why can’t u just tell why no?
Pragya whispered : Just do as I say. I will talk to u later.
Bulbul: Okok. Did u eat anything?
Pragya: No. BYE!
I ended the call saying that and kept my phone in handbag.
Abhi looked at her through the rear mirror when she never noticed him and smirked.
I closed my eyes and just felt too tired to think about anything. But I couldn’t be without thinking. I was about to think when he “ Pragya! Your phone still have enough battery?”
I opened my eyes hearing his voice and said “ Let me check…”
“ Sure! Sorry to disturb u!” He said gently.
I took out of my phone from my handbag. It had enough battery though and I said “ Not that low…”
“ May I make a call again?” He requested.
“ Sure…” I said gently as I passed him my phone.
I saw him making a quick call again and I thought he would be calling someone to enquire about his mother, but no.
“ How many times they will reject without seeing the proposal?” He said in a loud voice making us stunned.
“ I would accept if they see the proposal and reject it but I don’t accept by not even taking a look at the proposal given!!” He shouted.
With that he ended the call and was about to throw away my phone in frustration but he held himself back and turned back looking at me furiously.
I was like what mistake did I make that he looks at me like this?
He calmed down looking at my scared face. That’s what I feel.
“ Your phone Pragya…” He said by forwarding his hand towards me.
I never said anything and took my phone from him.
Jaguar: What happened NS? Why so tensed?
He asked while driving.
Abhi: You know I really can’t stand those who reject things without checking. Don’t they feel it’s not wise to reject without a valid reason?
Jaguar: I am not sure what u are refering to about rejecting. Just don’t lose your cool for this man!
Abhi: I am not losing my cool Jaggu! It’s just that I don’t accept rejections without a valid reason!
I looking at that lost my confidence in asking him about my rejection of him.
Abhi: And u know what? It’s easy to reject but they should at least have the courtesy to tell it in a polite way. Like they are not interested in it and hence they are rejecting it. They should know that the person facing the rejection may feel dejected. You know how many people may feel they are not worth enough to be accepted by facing rejections?
Jaguar: Oh man! Take a chill pill! I know it hurts…but every rejection has its reasons.
I hearing that have slight hope and was eager to know what he would respond.
Abhi: Rejections with reasons is right! But it should be revealed to the person they are rejecting!
Gone! Completely gone! My chance of asking him is completely gone. Hearing that I leaned on the headrest and closed my eyes in disappointment.
My phone had vibrations and I opened my eyes to see an unknown number flashed on the screen. It was a message.
I looked at the message and was shell shocked.
Message:
Sir! You are right and we are ejecting (removing) those who rejected us.
What is this??? Shall I tell him about this message? Now I am so scared!
That’s when I also heard him saying to Jaggu
” You are right in a way man! But even if they say no to me then I will not leave them that easily! I will come after them even if they say no!” He said that by gritting his teeth.
Is he really a psycho? I was getting more nervous of his words and then the message received.
