Case filed against ‘Roadies’ fame Shreya Kalra for dancing on zebra crossing

Roadies fame Shreya Kalra recently shared a video of herself dancing on the zebra crossing. The video went viral and Shreya is currently in trouble because of the same. Shrey captioned her post as, “Please do not break the rules – a red sign means you have to stop at the signal not because I am dancing, and do wear your masks.”

Though Shreya’s intention was to spread awareness the way she did it didn’t go down well with the authorities. On Wednesday (September 15), Minister for Home Affairs, Law, Prisons, and Parliamentary Affairs Narottam Mishra ordered the police to file a case against Shreya. According to a report by TOI, Mishra said, “Whatever her intentions, her way was wrong. I have asked the authorities to register a case against her under Motor Vehicles Act so that no one dares follow this and it doesn’t happen again,”

ASP Rajesh Raghuwanshi from Indore shared that a case has been registered against Shreya under IPC section 290 for ‘public nuisance’.  He added, “Even if the signal was red, the girl was dancing in the middle of traffic, which is a nuisance whatever her intentions are,”

Meanwhile, Shreya recently released a video explaining herself where she said, “My main motive in creating the video was to make people aware that a red signal means traffic should stop and they should not cross the zebra crossing.”
