It was dusk, Yuvani were heading back to home.
Suh : Yuvi shall we go for a long drive?
He looks at her smiles knowingly.
Yuvi : You don’t want to go for a drive, you want to go for a night walk..
She smiles.
Yuvi : Ok, we will go.
Just then Yuvi receives a call from Anuj.
Yuvi : Yeah chottu…
Anuj : Bhaiya, come home, you have a surprise.
Yuvi : Surprise?
Anuj : Yeah, come soon.
Yuvi : Ok.
He cuts the call.
Yuvi : Suhani, chottu asked to us to get back to home.
Suh : Ok.
Yuvi : We will go for walk after that.
Suhani smiles.
They reach home.
Yuvi was surprised to see Kavya, and very happy too. They haven’t met after college.
Yuvi : (Going to her) Kavya, you here, this is great.
Suhani stood at the door, she didn’t know who Kavya was, Yuvi haven’t mentioned about her.
Yuvi gives Kavya a friendly hug. Suhani was shocked seeing this, she never saw Yuvi hugging a girl.
Suh : (thinking) How dare you hug a girl Yuvi, that too in front of me?? (Looking at Kavya) Who are you and why are so important in his life that he is so happy seeing you and even hugged you? Whoever you are, I don’t like you!!
Yuvi : You have not met my wife na. Suhani…
Suhani goes to them.
Kavya forwards her hand.
Kavya : ( Smiling) Hi, I am Kavya, I and Yuvi were together in college.
Suh : (faking a smile and shaking hands) Hi, I am Suhani. I thought I met every friend of Yuvi’s but you,
Kavya :Well, I went to states just after college, my family is there, I wanted to come for your marriage but couldn’t make it, so I thought of coming today and give Yuvi his birthday surprise. (Turning to Yuvi) So how is my surprise?
Yuvi : (smiling) This is the best surprise by far. (In mind, thinking of Suhani) actually it isn’t.
Suhani fumes hearing this.
Suh : (thinking) So what was the one I gave you? Everything I did for you is nothing in front of this girl! I hate you!!
Anuj : You know bhabhi, Kavya was the most attractive girl in their college, every boy in their college were after her, but she only had eyes for Bhaiya.
Suh : WHAT??
Kavya : Yeah, it is true, and I think I proposed you three time right.
Yuvi nods.
Suh : And,
Suhani was very curious.
Gauri : And what, Viyu told her that he don’t want romance during college and rejected her trice.
Suhani was relieved.
Yuvi : But you know Kavya, I liked you, I think I had crush on you, and when I came to tell you about it, you told me you are going back, so I decided against it. Now I know it was just an infatuation.
Suhani was awestruck hearing this.
Suh : (thinking) So you had CRUSH on her??
Sharad noticed this change in Suhani and smirks.
Sh : But guys, just think, if Kavya was not going back, guru would have confessed, then you would have got married.
Yuvi : Yeah, may be. (thinking) I am happy that it didn’t happen so.
Kavya : Tough luck, I was sad when I heard that Yuvi is getting married. (Playfully) You actually stole him from me Suhani.
Suhani again fakes a smile, she was burning inside.
Suh : (thinking) I didn’t, if you guys wanted to marry, you could have, why did you drag me into this!!
Gauri : Why are we all standing. Let us sit.
Kavya and Gauri sits on Yuvi’s either sides. Suhani sits besides Sharad.
Gauri : So di, until when are you here?
Kavya : I will leave after three days, I have to go to my Dadi.
Gauri : Ok.
Suh : (thinks) So I have to bear you for three days!!
Everyone other than Suhani started to talk, casually. Suhani could not listen to anything; she was trying hard to control her feelings. Some said some joke and everyone started to laugh.
Kavya was laughing so hard, she kept her hand on Yuvi’s shoulder, casually.
Suh : ( in mind, angry) Just take off your stupid hand from his shoulder!!
Kavya : Suhani, I am meeting Yuvi after years, so we are going to spent this eve together, I hope you are ok with it.
Suh : W,why not, you guys carry on.
They smile. Suhani understood that if she remained there for a bit longer, she would burst.
Suh : Guys, I am bit tired, I am going to room.
She leaves. Sharad suppresses a laugh.
