Breaking The Silence – part 9
After a while when breathless they drew apart and that’s when they realized what just happened and she looked away. He too didn’t know how to react so turned away and she rushed inside and entered into the bed and covering herself wholly looked at the opposite wall. After a while she heard him stepping inside and as he bolted the door and switched off the lights, her heart raced with some fear which turned into an embarrassed smile as soon as she found him beside her.
Now as she contemplated in the dark room she found it wasn’t something out of passion but a gentle gesture to distract her away, but anyway it had happened and now who was going to cure this sleepless night as the sleep had stopped the hide and seek and declared she was not coming to her for a few hours.
“How she was going to face him in morning and then too after everybody was gone already day after tomorrow.” She thought to herself. “It won’t be that big of a problem and you will manage.” Her heart assured her. And like that, talking with herself when she finally dozed off she never knew.
And here as he got assured she was fast asleep he rested on his back and looked to her side and found her sleeping on her left side and he knew next day her arm was going to hurt so to make her comfortable he shifted her on her back and covered her properly. Resting his head on the pillow he too tried to sleep.

He didn’t see her one glimpse since morning, she wasn’t there when he went for his morning walk but his morning tea already on his side. Then when he was back then too she was nowhere in sight but his clothes already on the chair.
And now when he was having his breakfast again she wasn’t looking anywhere. And maybe he tried a little visibly as came a certain whisper in his ears, “looking for your wife, it’s okay. for a few days she would be yours only.”and he found Yuvani giggling .
“What do you mean little girl, isn’t she mine already?” He teased her biting his toast. “By the way where is she ,isn’t she having breakfast with us,” he asked .
“Actually she has gone to temple, didn’t she tell you brother?” and he never expected this question.
“Maybe she did when I was taking a bath.” He defended her .
Here on the stairs of temple she felt peace, she always did that- coming to the temple when she didn’t know how to face a situation and maybe the shrines and the positive energies filled her with a kind of power.
To be honest she was now more nervous about the coming days which she was going to spend alone with him ,it had been much better if it has all ended in the first night with him itself. “she would not have to go for this torture she was going now a days .” She thought and “who wanted to give time to this relationship.” Her heart again chided her.
And she was back to that night itself. With enough stupid things Archana had filled in her ears and after nearly 27 years of her life she knew what was going to happen this night. Their room was beautifully lit with scented candles and though the flowery net on bed wasn’t there but the flowers were everywhere ,she only knew next day it was all the effort of Yuvani and she had decorated it real beautiful.
She had been sitting silently on the bed into that marron saree ,heavy but not as heavy as her wedding outfit, jewelry and makeup too wasn’t that much, she was much relived now Cause in those hours of wedding rituals she was feeling like her back was going to break due to all those weight.
When the door had opened, he wasn’t alone: with maybe a few girls and Yuvani who asked him about some neg and they were soon gone and then he had entered into the room and it wasn’t like movies he was in that sky blue shirt and black pants of his which she tried not giving him afterwards as it was a beautiful remainder of that night.
She was nervous, afraid and everything which you feel when you don’t want a situation but you have to face anyway.
He had come to her and had said, “ Hi.” And as soon as she had heard his voice hundreds of tinklings started happening in her stomach.
She too had muttered a small hi And he had very openly asked was she nervous and as she had confirmed it he had said he too was and they both had smiled on it.
He had said he didn’t know much about her and she about him so it was better first to understand one another and then step ahead.And till yesterday they never gotten a chance to step ahead, with him being busy in the project he had gotten just a few days after their marriage.
Coming to the present she felt finally they were ready to step ahead and also she had sat there for quite some time .she looked in the phone and it was past 15 minutes to 9, she was safe to return home cause even if she was ready to take this relationship one step ahead who said she had the courage to face him just now .

Whole day went with ma telling her which thing was where in case she needed in next few days and in their packing , and now she was watering the plants in her balcony when she felt a tug on her saree and as she turned she found a really cute boy of not more than 2 years old and as she turned he gestured to be lifted up, “ hey, who are you baby and you want to be lifted,” she asked cutely “whose baby is he, it seems he came in my room when they were busy and didn’t notice him.” she thought to herself .
“okay let me give a moment ,”telling him and siding the water pipe she lifted him in her arms and he was such a cute baby, in just a few minutes he was already playing with her, imitating the sounds she was making and hiding in her hairs occasionally.
She didn’t know when Sayyam entered into the balcony and leaning on the door frame kept staring her after a while when she didn’t notice him for moments he came behind her and the baby noticed him and became silent finding an intruder in the scene. and Krishna tried cheering up but he didn’t when
“ someone didn’t have the time to meet their husband but looks like you are more lucky than me champ.” And she turned , “hey, when you came.”she asked.
“ When you were busy playing with this chubby baby.” He said pinching his cheeks and he made a face like he didn’t like this gesture.
“ hey, hey no, no baby, see that aeroplane.” she made him look to the skies and he got busy searching for aeroplane .
“I see you are very busy since morning.” He commented. “no, no this baby himself came to our room.” She answered in a haste. “I am talking about morning.” He confirmed and before he could have said anything furthur Yuvani came to their door, “ oh, so this highness is here only and I was searching him everywhere. his granny is searching also Krishna you too come in the hall.” Taking the baby back she said. “by the way you three look such a cute family together.” She remarked and Krishna was left aghast for a while.
“this girl never leaves any chance.” He muttered and entered into the washroom
She got herself busy in taking his clothes out from the cupboard and left to meet the lady Yuvani told her about.
As she reached into the hall “come Krishna this is Ashwini ji ,she used to live in this same society but last year shifted with his son who is in Chennai, go take her blessings.” Suhani told her and as she bent to greet the lady.
“ you have got a beautiful daughter-in-law Suhani, come sit with us Krishna.” Said the lady shifting in the sofa. “so it is six months of their marriage right, Suhani ?” asked the lady.
“no, its only three months. “told Suhani. And as the baby noticed Krishna he whined in her granny’s lap and reached out to her and she took him in her arms before he literally jumped out to her.
“see mumma, it looks like he too have fell for Krishna.” Yuvani too joined them. And everyone smiled on this.
Meanwhile Mani came with the tea and snacks and Krishna stood up because the baby was gesturing towards the green and pink patched leaves of coleus kept in the corner. “I am taking him there aunty.”
“sure beta,” said the lady and Krishna walked to the pot. And here everyone got busy with the snacks and tea.
The baby was too cute ,she wanted to pinch his cheeks, touch his nose and suddenly she thought about a certain possibility in future and she felt a different kind of enthusiasm.
After a while baby kept his head on her shoulder ,maybe he was tired and wanted to sleep.so she kept walking with him occasionally patting his back and humming a little music.
When suddenly she heard , “ you have got a gem Suhani ,look how patient she is with the baby. I am sure she is going to be a great mum in future,” and she stilled in the movement and as she looked to their side she found Sayyam too standing near the sofa and smiling on this forecast.
“actually aunty you should have seen this trio in their room ,it was looking like he was their own child,I forgot to click a photograph.” Said Yuvani and now both their faces were worth a watch.
Sayyam looked her with a look saying I-will-see-you-later and Krishna handed over the now sleeping baby to the lady and left to kitchen .

Okay ma ,do you need anything else ,”she asked zipping her bag up. “no Krishna, I guess we kept everything ,did you pack Yuvraaj’s cervical belt he sometimes needs that mostly when he is in vacations and nearly sleeping all the time.” and they both laughed on this.
“So people are making a fun of me,” asked Yuvraj entering into the room.
“No,no papa, actually ma was asking me to pack your cervical belt.” Krishna said while still laughing inwards.
“don’t defend her Krishna. i know she was making a fun of me but let her be that way i love her how she is.” He said and Krishna looked lovingly to this older couple who were now in a cute verbal argument of why his cervical kept coming in vacations only.
“Ok papa and ma, good night,” she greeted moving out of the room.
“good night Krishna, they too greeted her back “and krishna put an alarm of 5 in morning cause our train is at 7: 30 .”suhani told her.
“okay ma, I’ll be ready.” She said coming out and shutting their door.
As she entered into her own room she found soft music in the room through the tiny wall woofers and Sayyam in the mid of their room and balcony sitting comfortably on the chair and enjoying the music and maybe it was a new song but she too liked its soft beats.
He turned as he heard the door clicking and asked her to join him and she nodded.
After changing into her night wears she went to him and sat on the other chair.he switched of the music system with the remote as the song got completed when she said, “ why all this arrangement ?”
“The project we were working on is a hit already, tests have been successful and also I am getting promoted so thought to celebrate.” He said and she looked to his side, “oh wow, congratulations. Did you tell papa and ma.”
“Yeah they know,” he answered leaning on the chair. “Whenever some crucial project gets completed I celebrate it with me, relaxing in the room with some good music.” Now you too are here I thought to share this time with you.” And she felt overwhelmed.
“so celebration and no sweets?” she teased him.
“NO, I am with sweets,” and he extended the one chocolate bar to her side.
“only one, where is yours?” tearing the silver foil she enquired.
“Well,I was thinking you were going to share it with me.” Now it was his turn to tease her.
“Yeah, why not.” she got embarrassed, “I didn’t mean that.” breaking it into half and extending one to him she said.
But he didn’t take it rather “you know in the time of kings ,when husbands came conquering the battles wives used to feed them with their hands.” Melodrama started. And she looked to him,totally amazed at his wish.
“what happened to you, I was talking about the time of kings.” He said acting like he was hurt.
When suddenly she put the chocolate on his lips and said, “well,I guess my king too have come conquering this huge battle” she too can act melodramatic, “how can I let him eat this bar of chocolate with his own hands, shame on me being his queen.”
And biting the chocolate he caught her hand and said in the deep voice, “ so queen after food comes sleep, let’s take rest ,I missed you so much all these days. you do understand what I mean .” and they both laughed on this silly joke.
This was the beauty of him, here she was seeking ways not to face him and he made everything so easy like nothing happened at all.
