Bigg Boss OTT winner and actress Divya Agarwal, engaged to Apurva Padgaonkar since December last year, has revealed that the couple will be tying the knot in February 2024. Amid her busy schedule promoting her new project Tatlubaaz, Divya spoke to ETimes TV about her wedding preparations and shared her vision for the big day.
Breaking away from conventional norms, Divya expressed her desire to inspire others through her wedding, especially girls who may not have their fathers present. “I am going to break several stereotypes during my wedding, and all the girls who will be watching will feel that it doesn’t matter if we have our father’s blessings or not. Every girl can get married without taking any loan or stress,” she emphasized.
While discussing wedding planning, Divya admitted feeling nervous at the prospect, stating, “The moment I hear about planning for the wedding, I get scared because there are so many things involved.” Considering a simpler approach, she contemplated keeping the ceremony private and unveiling it later, similar to other celebrities. “I want to live the moment for myself and my would-be husband Apurva. It should be beautiful for both of us,” she shared.
With a wide circle of friends, Divya humorously expressed concerns about the guest list, acknowledging the challenge of accommodating a large number of guests. She playfully remarked, “Kash hum Rajwade Khaandaan se hote toh we would have got married in some Rajasthan’s mahal. We are not able to find a way to accommodate or invite so many people. Kuch Na kuch toh kar lenge.”
In a previous interview, Divya opened up about her relationship with Apurva, detailing their journey from dating in 2015 to parting ways in 2018. Despite the breakup, they remained friends, and it was Apurva who provided support during her challenging times after the 2022 breakup with Varun Sood. Divya’s upcoming wedding reflects her commitment to simplicity, breaking stereotypes, and offering inspiration to others on their unique journeys.
