Bigg Boss 16: Soundarya Sharma talks about her shocking eviction; says, “This eviction didn’t happen by public voting; the housemates took my name”

The previous episode of Bigg Boss 16 witnessed the shocking elimination of contestant Soundarya Sharma who was eliminated by the votes of fellow contestants on the basis of her performance and involvement in the show. The other two contestants who were nominated were Shalin Bhanot and Tina Datta.

During a recent interview with BT, the actress talked about it and shared, “Firstly, this eviction didn’t happen by public voting; the housemates took my name. But I wasn’t shocked because I didn’t come up with any expectations. It was a journey for me and every journey ends at some point. Bigg Boss has been an amazing experience for me.”

She added, “I have never lived in a community. I have lived in an overprotective environment all my life. This is the first time that I have lived with different kinds of people, with different energies in the same house. It is a show and everyone had their own plan and game, so it was fair for them to do what they wanted to. But the overall experience has been good for me. It was a challenging and beautiful journey.”

Soundarya’s relationship with Gautam Vig was called fake by many. In the last few episodes, Gautam’s name again came to the surface as he was accused of having done a character assassination of Soundarya.

Gautam however clarified in the media that he has nothing to do with it. When asked about it, Soundarya preferred to reserve her comment and said, “I am sure Gautam did not said those things. Why would he? I met Gautam and Shalin (Bhanot) on the show and I didn’t know them before the show. So I don’t know what and why they spoke about me.”

Talking about her equation with Gautam, she shared, “I still respect Gautam as a person. I don’t know what has been spoken about him or me outside because I have just stepped out of the show. Until I don’t hear what Gautam has said about me, I won’t react to anything. People can say whatever they want to grab attention in front of cameras. I am not someone who demeans people or makes derogatory remarks. I have just come out of the show and now I will read and see who has said what and only after knowing the truth will I react to it. I don’t want to give any reaction until I know the truth.”
