Bigg Boss 16: Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia talks about her shocking elimination; says, “It’s disappointing that contestants like Shalin Bhanot and Archana Gautam are still in the house”

The first captain of Bigg Boss 16, Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia had quite an eventful journey on the show. Nimrit was recently evicted from the show by the votes of the audience who were invited inside the house. Nimrit bagged the least number of votes and was in shock, as she didn’t see it coming.

The actress talked about it during a recent interview and shared, “It was out of the blue. Nobody was expecting it. It was a jittery space to be in, especially to know of the mid-week elimination just seven days before the finale, because we struggled so hard and gave our best shot for so many weeks. Honestly, I would have been disappointed if I was eliminated because of pan-India voting. But in the current scenario, I don’t have much to say. We had three rounds with a set of a live audience selected on the OTT app and they voted for their favorites. The first round was about sharing our journey and why we should be in the finals, the second one was talking about the opponents and the third round was to entertain the crowd, following which the audience had to cast their votes.”

She added, “If I had to speak of whether I deserved to be there, I know I did. There are people like Shalin and Archana who are still inside the house. It is a reality show, and we must emphasize real people. So, yes, it was a little disappointing, but I guess that’s the nature of the show. So, it’s fine.”

When asked about her experience in the show, the Choti Sarrdaarni actress shared that she enjoyed every bit of her journey in the Bigg Boss 16 house. She said, “It is nothing less than a dream run and absolutely beautiful. When you are inside for so long surrounded by people with varied mindsets, you are constantly under the pressure of being watched through the minutest of details. I feel very happy that at no point did I lose out on who I am as a person or ended up doing something that would not do justice to my principles. So, I feel very proud of myself and my journey. This is the honest and vulnerable most I could have been in front of the entire nation without thinking about how people will perceive me. I don’t feel I was image conscious at any given point because this is who I am. So, take it or leave it!”
