Bhagya Lakshmi fame Maera Mishra aka Malishka hospitalized after being diagnosed with dengue

Maera Mishra, who is known for her role as Malishka Bedi in Bhagya Lakshmi, has been diagnosed with dengue. The actress had to be hospitalized after her health deteriorated.

During a recent interview, the actress talked about it and shared, “I felt feverish two days before Diwali while shooting for the show. However, I dismissed it as a viral fever. I went to my hometown, Bareilly, to celebrate Diwali with my family and didn’t pay much attention to my health. I returned to Mumbai on October 26 and started shooting the following day. I started feeling sick again and got a high fever. The production team asked me to go home immediately and told me to rest. I returned to the set the next day even though I was unwell. That’s when my brother asked me to undergo a test. I did it on the set and by evening, I knew that I had dengue.”

The actress is currently in the hospital and recovering. She added, “My platelet count at the moment is low and I am feeling extremely weak. I am on a liquid diet. Fortunately, my brother and my bhabhi are here with me and taking care of me. I am hoping to be discharged in a couple of days.”

Talking about how the team will manage the shoot in her absence, Maera said, “They were quite confused and stressed, as the ongoing track focused on my character. But they have been extremely accommodating and told me to take care of my health first.”
