Shalu arrives at the Oberoi house to see Ayush and Rishi, eager to share something important she learned from Lakshmi’s sleep talk. However, Aanchal bluntly tells her no one wants to speak with her and insists she leave. Ayush says he’s busy and will talk later, but Shalu presses that Lakshmi’s nighttime murmurs are significant. Ayush repeats that he’s not available and asks her to listen to Aanchal and go home. Rishi explains they have a meeting out of town and promises Ayush will call her later.
Shalu asks Ayush about his trip, and he responds that due to current circumstances, their marriage must be delayed. Karishma goes further, declaring the marriage is called off permanently. Shalu is crushed and tearfully looks to Ayush, who excuses himself and leaves. Malishka watches Shalu’s pain with a smile, while Karishma blocks Shalu from following Ayush and orders her to go home. Shalu insists she has the right to speak with Ayush. Karishma scolds her, but Rishi intervenes, allowing Shalu a private moment with Ayush.
Shalu thanks Rishi and enters Ayush’s room, but Ayush refuses to listen. He announces he’s leaving the country and their marriage is off. Shalu is devastated, asking why and begging for an explanation. She confesses her love and pleads that she can’t live without him. Ayush admits he didn’t anticipate things changing so drastically and blames Lakshmi for taking Neelam, adding that Shalu is Lakshmi’s sister.
Shalu counters that she never wanted to join the Oberoi family after seeing her sister suffer, and questions why Ayush made her fall in love if he didn’t intend to marry her. He apologizes, but Shalu rejects his apology, demanding his love instead. She insists Lakshmi is innocent, just in a bad situation, but Ayush refuses to discuss her. When Ayush accuses Lakshmi of killing Neelam, Shalu defends her sister, breaks off the engagement, and returns her ring. Ayush is left sorrowful, recalling Shalu’s words.
Malishka later tells Rishi that Shalu shouldn’t visit the house anymore, emphasizing the family’s decision to end the relationship. She claims to have shown Rishi footage that incriminates Lakshmi. Karishma and Aanchal question Rishi about the footage, but he reassures them not to worry. Malishka continues to warn against allowing Shalu into the house, painting her and Lakshmi as threats. Rishi tries to calm the situation, but Malishka provokes Karishma and Aanchal further.
Aanchal vows never to forgive Lakshmi and insists Shalu be barred from the house, while Karishma agrees. Rishi urges them not to judge Shalu unfairly and suggests they wait until after the court case to make any decisions about Ayush and Shalu’s future. Karishma remains opposed to their marriage, but Rishi argues that after a year, it should be Ayush and Shalu’s choice. Karishma insists the family should decide, and Aanchal reminds Rishi of Neelam’s words, stating both families must be involved in any marriage decision.
