As the Oberois mourn Neelam’s passing during her Chautha ceremony, the police arrive with a startling revelation. The inspector apologizes for the timing but insists it’s urgent—Neelam’s death was not an accident, but a planned murder. Rishi and Lakshmi are stunned when told that the chandelier rope was intentionally cut. Malishka, who overhears this, panics and calls Anushka to confirm if any mistakes were made in their plan to eliminate Neelam.
Anushka expresses concern and asks Malishka why she cut the rope instead of using another method. Their argument is overheard by Lakshmi, who hides and listens as Malishka mentions sabotaging Ayush and Shalu’s marriage. Shocked, Lakshmi shares everything with Shalu, revealing that Malishka is behind Neelam’s death. Shalu urges they inform the inspector, but Lakshmi decides to tell Rishi first. However, Rano informs them that Rishi has already left with the inspector to investigate further based on new evidence.
Malishka and her mother Kiran panic upon hearing this. In their room, Malishka breaks down, confessing her guilt and blaming Anushka for influencing her. Anushka arrives and tries to calm her, suggesting they shift the blame onto Lakshmi, who was also in the corridor. Malishka agrees and decides to manipulate the evidence.
Meanwhile, Lakshmi vows to expose Malishka and Anushka and get justice for Neelam. As the trio checks the CCTV footage, they don’t find Lakshmi but instead see Paro near the chandelier. Anushka convinces them to frame Paro, claiming that although the rope was already cut, Paro’s action will make her look guilty. Kiran agrees, saying Malishka is safe for now.
Malishka regrets that her plan to frame Lakshmi failed again and feels defeated by Lakshmi’s fate. Shalu confides in Lakshmi, both mourning Neelam and dreading Rishi’s reaction. Later, Anushka and Malishka find footage showing Lakshmi, and Kiran urges them to tamper with it. Anushka promises to take Neil’s help, while Malishka breathes a sigh of relief, determined to pin the blame on Lakshmi.
