Better Connection By A Gesture Of Help

A busy street.. There were many vehicles on road but only few people walked. All were busy in their own ways. Going to work , classes , college and many more.

Among these few walking people, there was a very old grand mother. She walked very slowly. It seemed to be as if she was too tired to walk. There was a small hand bag on her hands. For others who walked , she was a nuisance as she walked very slowly and many were in a hurry.

All most all the people who passed by her was angry on her because of this. The old grand mother knew this , but she couldn’t help it. How can she ? She was not active as she was in her younger ages.

Slowly she came near a crossing. She stopped there and waited to cross the road. Many seconds.. many minutes… many hours passed . But she couldn’t cross the road. She looked begging from her eyes at everyone. But none offered help for her because all who walked were busy in their own journeys.

At this time , one young man came hurriedly. He was walking very fast passing many people. It seemed to be as if he was the busiest man in the world.

Finally , he came near the crossing where the old grand mother stood. He looked at the grand mother with a confusing face. Then he put his hand to the front. Grand mother was very happy. Both crossed the road..

The grand mother wanted to thank this young man. So , she said in a low voice ..,

” Thank you my child. I was there for many hours. You came and helped me. It was so kind of you. No one is helping old people in the present society. But you helped this old woman. Thank you so much. May you be blessed with all the happiness in your life . ”

The young man looked surprised.

” I didn’t do that to help you. I was in a hurry to go to my home and that’s why I suddenly crossed the road ”
