“Ragini breakfast” called Sanskar as he sat on the dining table. “Coming” said she and walked out with his breakfast. “Again the boring Sandwich?” asked he annoyed. “You eat it everyday” said Ragini confused. “Sanky you have fever oh what? You are saying Sandwich boring?” asked Sujatha checking his temperature. “I’m fine mom. You can take your hand back” said Sanskar glaring her. She nodded her head and continued her breakfast. “I want to eat something different today” said he closing his palms. “How about Poha today” said he smiling and looking at Ragini. She looked at him shocked. “What? Poha?” asked Ram shocked. “Dad stop screaming” said Sanskar rubbing his ear. “Don’t give me shocks like this my heart is very small you devil” said Ram holding his heart. “All the human beings heart will be small only” said Piyu smiling. “See she has bigger brain than you both” said Sanskar showing Piyusha who chuckled. “Haa Pari ki beti hai na Adarsh pe gayi hoti tho she would have been dumb like you” said Sujata. Ragini’s eyes became painful.“I’m the smartest girl in the world Adi. Just agree” she remembered Pari’s words in her past and a tear dropped from her eye which Sanskar noticed. She wiped her tears and walked to the kitchen saying “I will make it and get it” Sanskar’s heart pained to look at her that way. He got up finally and walked to the kitchen.
“Missing Pari bhabi?” asked he as he placed his hand on her shoulder. She turned and hugged him. “Why did she leave me Sanskar. Doesn’t she know I can’t live without her” said she in cracking voice. He did not knew how to console her. He gathered all his courage and patted her head and covered her in his embrace with the other hand. “Destiny Ragini. We can’t help it na?” said he. “It wasn’t…” before she could speak they heard Adarsh’s voice who called “Ragu…” They departed and turned to him. “You are making Poha?” asked he with wide open eyes. Ragini nodded her head smiling looking at him. “woow” said he clapping his hands. “Sanky don’t disturb her. Come” said Adarsh dragging him out. Sanskar turned and looked at Ragini concerned. She nodded her head smiling and signed him that she is fine.

“How can the dairy go missing. Something is fishy. I’m searching it from a week but I’m not finding it. What the….” Sanskar pulled his hair. “I thought I will find a clue about Ragini and Rohan which can help me to get rid off her” he said to himself. “Do you really want to get rid off her?” his heart spoke freaking him. He sat straight on his chair and placed his hands on the glass table. “Rohan is Son of Birla’s who are close friends of Gadodia’s. I’m sure Swara can help me to find it out. I have to visit her this Sunday” he thought to himself and decided to meet Swara. First time he was feeling awkward to meet Swara and he did not realize it. He sat and continued his work.
“What happened Ragini?” asked Sanskar when he was looking into his laptop sitting on the couch. “How do you know I came?” asked she widening her eyes. “Your anklets” said he still staring his laptop. She squeezed her hands and stood nervous. “Say” said he folding the laptop and looking up at her when she did not speak. “Piyu’s Parent teacher meeting this Saturday” said she. “So why are you getting nervous like it’s your Parent teacher meeting?” asked he confused. “She… She….” she said nervous. “What did she do this time?” asked he serious. “Nothing much just put some glue on teacher’s chair and his pant was torn” said she in a go and closed her eyes when Sanskar screamed “What?” She opened her eyes and nodded her head. “She is becoming naughty day by day” he said fuming. “She is still small kid Sanskar. If she doesn’t play now when she will play” said she pleading him. “If it was your kid? Would you have been so careless Ragini?” he asked nearing her. It hurt her it hurt her beyond his imagination. “Sanskar” said she in a cracking voice. Her eyes filled with tears. He realized what he said. “I’m…” before he could say she ran out of the room. He closed his fist and waved his hands in air frustrated. Doesn’t he know what is Piyu for Ragini. How can he question her love for Piyu. He pulled his hair frustrated.
“I’m sorry” said he when Ragini lied on the bed facing her back to him. She did not respond. He felt bad and lied on his side. But he couldn’t sleep. Even Ragini couldn’t sleep. She never felt hurt whatever people thought about her but Sanskar’s word pained her. She doesn’t know why. She just rubbed her legs against each other. Sanskar understood even she did not sleep. He sighed and got up from the bed. “Your highness” said he forwarding his hand in front of her. She looked at him confused. He was kneeling in front of her smiling widely. She twisted her lips and closed her eyes. “Please your highness. See this official clown of yours will be hanged if he doesn’t make you laugh in next 10 minutes” said he crying fake. “And who will do that?” she snapped as she opened her eyes and glared him. “Your King” said he scared. “Oh so where is he?” asked she looking around. “He is in war zone and had appointed me as your caretaker” said he. “Why a clown?” asked she as she sat up. “Because clowns are best care takers you know. They can make you laugh also and can fight for you also” said he standing up.
“Is that so then try making me laugh. I bet you can’t” said she folding her legs. “Challenge accepted your highness. But what will be my price” asked he bending his head a bit. “That will be your choice” said she and he acted like thinking pouting and rubbing his chin. “Okay I will think about it later” said he and stood at a bit far. He danced funny but Ragini gave him bore look. He huffed as he could not make her laugh. He looked at her and she was still sitting with serious face. As she turned and was about to sleep he neared her and tickled. She jerked and screamed. “Cheating… Cheating cheater cock” said Ragini and started laughing as he continued tickling her. She tried getting out of his hold but couldn’t. She laughed like there was no tomorrow. Sanskar knelt behind her as she laughed due to his tickling and he bit his lower lip. He was lost in her laughter. His heart was fluttering with joy. He came to sense when Ragini got out of his hold and sat turning to him. “Cheating Sanskar. That was really bad” said she. “Cheating? How? Bet was only to make you laugh okay and how I do that wasn’t included” said he holding his waist with his hands still kneeling. “Your prize canceled” said she folding her hands. “Dare you do that. You know I can tickle you all night” said he and bent to her. “Gosh I will die out of laughter” said she and he immediately closed her mouth. They both looked at each other and lost in the moment. “Don’t speak like that again” said he warning her as he drew his hand back and she held his hand and stopped him. He looked at her hand and looked up at her. “Your prize” said she smiling.

He patted her hand smiling and walked to his side of bed. Ragini turned and smiled in her sleep. “And it’s a friend’s promise to protect you” said he turning back after lying down looking at Ragini’s back. He turned and slept smiling. It had been almost three months that he slept peaceful and he found his peace at last. On the other hand Ragini got that peace after two years. It was beyond expressing. She was happy for a unknown reason. Though a storm was in her head her heart was at peace. At peace as it found something. May be it’s other half.

“ I will save you on one condition” said Sanskar kneeling in front of Piyu who was standing pouting. She nodded her head. He looked around and whispered something in her ear. She widened her eyes and said “But Chachu” she complained. “Otherwise forget” said he and stood up. She held his hand and as he turned nodded her head and he lifted her and kissed her cheek and smiled. “You the best princess in the world” said he. “But you are worst chachu. Who blackmails his own niece?” asked she and he closed her mouth and said “Shhh. Chachu, Princess secret no spilling out promise me” he asked forwarding his hand. She placed her little palm on his palm and said “Promise” “That’s like my Princess” said he and drooled hugging her.
“Chachu I want to meet Swara maa tomorrow” said Piyu when they were returning from the school. Sanskar looked at Ragini. Her face became pale. He could sense she wasn’t happy Swara being mentioned as Swara maa. May be it reminded her of Sanskar’s love for Swara. She felt uneasy. He looked at Piyu through rear mirror and said “Piyu we will go some other day” Piyu glared him. She sighed. “Can’t you fulfill my one wish Chachu?” she asked with puppy eyes. “Okay Okay I will take you tomorrow. Now don’t do this drama. Drama queen” said he. She glared him. She leaned to him and spoke in his ear “You are the script writer of this drama. Forgot?” He looked at Ragini who was looking other side and smiled at Piyu weakly and whispered “Sorry” She sat back folding her hands and pouting. He pleaded her through rear mirror and she whispered fine. He once looked at Ragini and continued driving. Ragini who was looking out of the window her face was showing worry. “How to handle this now? What if he tries to know about me and Rohan. I sense he is planning something. It isn’t Piyu’s wish. She never even asked about Swara from past two months” she thought. And moreover she had seen Sanskar talking to Piyu in the morning. And now she understood his plan.

“Swara Maa” screeched Piyu entering and hugging Swara. Swara looked at her confused. She looked up and found Sanskar smile looking at her. Her heart skipped a beat. She never even imagined he will suddenly pop up like this. She smiled weakly looking at him. Inside her mind she was thinking how to tackle this. “Shona” said Rohan who came out of kitchen. Sanskar closed his fist when he looked at Rohan. His anger was boiling inside. Swara closed her eyes and looked at fuming Sanskar. Rohan followed her gaze and found Sanskar who was fuming. The bowl in his hand fell down on the ground crashing. “Kya hua” Sumi came out of the kitchen hearing the noise. She was shocked to find Sanskar. “Piyu bacha I have bought new toys for you come we will go up” said Sumi lifting Piyu in her arms and climbed the stairs.
“Speak Swara” said Sanskar. She jerked to his voice. His eyes red like blood sent shiver down her spine.
“Shona” Ragini snatched the poison bottle in Swara’s hand. She tried snatching it back. “No Ragu I cannot marry Sanskar. I can’t live without Rohan” said she collapsing on the floor. Ragini hugged her and caressed her hair. “you could have told this before only na?” asked Ragini. “I did not get a chance. Moreover I did not wanted to break Piyu’s heart. I thought I will prepare myself for this sacrifice. But I can’t. I can’t do it” she cried. “No you will not sacrifice your love. I will not let that happen” said Ragini cupping her face and wiped her tears.
“You be in this room. Maa will call Vicky bhai to check on you. You act like you have fainted” said Ragini. “But Ragu you?” asked Sumi. “I will manage maa. But just don’t break down. I’m sure Sanskar will make you come to MM and you have to slap to show that you did not know anything and it was all my plan. And you hate me and you have to tell that I proved I’m Shona’s half sister” said Ragini looking at Sumi as she walked out with her face covered with Ghungat.
“Such big game Swara? Why?” asked he holding Swara from her elbow. “I’m sorry Sanskar I did not had any choice” said she not able to look into his eyes. Rohan neared him and released Swara’s hand from his hold. “You had choice Swara. You had, You could have told when the proposal came to you. You had choice when we got engaged. You had the choice till I came with barat to your home. You still had choice. And what did you do? You let Ragini go through all this. I hated her to the extent any human can do. I hurt her beyond animal can hurt. I behaved worst than a beast and due to who Swara. Only and only because of you. She did not prove she is your half sister but you proved” said he as tears flow from his eyes. “Piyu” he called wiping his tears. “Ayi chachu” said she descending down from Swara’s room with Sharmishta. Sumi looked at Sanskar. He lifted Piyu and headed out of the Gadodia Mansion.
“Shona” Rohan held Swara as she collapsed on the floor. “I’m and only I’m responsible for my Ragu’s condition. Whatever she went through was because of me. He said right. I proved I’m her half sister” she cried. Vikram who listened to their conversation ran to his room with tears in his eyes. “Shona be strong. He is not aware of full truth. Now at least he will treat Ragini in a proper way. That’s what we wanted right?” asked Sumi and Swara nodded her head in her embrace. “Phase 2 accomplished we have to wait for the next move” said he and Swara nodded her head wiping her tears.
“She is dead for me” Vikram remembered his words. He pulled his hair frustrated. He looked at Pari’s photograph hanged on the wall.
“She is your sister Vikky” said Pari placing her hand on Vikram’s shoulder. “I can’t accept her dee” said he looking away. “What’s her mistake Vikky” asked she. “Suddenly if she comes I can’t make place for her in my life sorry” said he. “You know I belong to the same category for you” said Pari. “Your case is different dee. I have been with you from the time I don’t even remember But she” said he. “Give her the same time. I’m sure she will make her place in your heart someday. But will you promise me one thing?” asked she forwarding her palm. “Promise” said he. “First listen what I want to ask?” said she surprised. “You know na dee for you I have not said no for anything. This promise is just for your assurance. I will always do what you say” said he. She caressed his hair. “Will you give her same chances what you give to me and Shona. You have to trust her the way you trust me and Shona” said she. “I will always” said he and hugged her. She kissed his hair.
“I’m sorry dee. Your Vikky failed his promise. I did not give Ragu the same chances I gave to Swara. True you said she is your sister your shadow only. She proved herself Shona’s sister even though all misunderstood her abused her. I did not trust her. I’m the worst bro in the world. I did not trust my sister. I’m sorry dee. I’m sorry” said he hugging her photo.
“Chachu chachu” said Piyu calling out Sanskar but he did not respond. He just stormed to his room. “What happened to him?” said Sujata looking in his direction. Ragini’s heart started sinking as she observed his pink face which clearly showed his deadly anger and hurt. His pain was something she could never tolerate. From the time they met they had that connection. The understanding they had nobody could have. “I’m sorry Sanskar this is all due to me. And this is a best friend’s promise that I will not let this pain hurt you more” said she wiping her tears. “Phase 2 accomplished” she thought within herself and smirked.
