Aditya’s POV

“Yes mom, I’ve landed and will stay over here for a few days; we have a lay-over.” he laughed taking off his shirt, before deliberately tossing it to the King-sized bed.

At first when he had entered the room and swathe door to the adjoining suit, he was a little bit surprised.

He drafted himself away from his thought when he heard his mother’s nagging voice.

“Aditya, I really missed you and I can’t wait for you to be back home.” She said in a joyful tone.

He loved his mother a lot but she wasn’t the one who supported of him since the death of Pooja; it was Shaksi, Pooja’s mother.

It’s hasn’t been easy for her mother after her death. She stayed in the same house and decided to move away because tensions between his mother and her became too much to bare.

“Mom, I missed you too. It’s just a three or four days then I will be back home.” he said annoyingly.

He heard his mother sighed.

“I hope you’re bringing a nice girl home to marry, Aditya?” there she goes again. Aditya groaned slowly.

“Of course not mom, I’m not ready.” he said causing his mother to snap at him angrily through the phone.

“Damn it, Aditya, you’re thirty three. Is that too much for a mother to ask!!!?” she said.

He hated it when his mother talks about marriage just because his father wants an heir.

“Mother, I’ll get married when I’m ready. You just have to be a little bit patient for a grandchild now.” he said as he was getting pissed with this conversation already. He loves his mother but he just didn’t like it when she talks about marriage and all that.

His mother’s next question shocked him.

“What if I get you a girl, will you marry her?” she asked him slyly.

“What the hell mother, I will settle down if and that’s a big IF I decide to marry again; so no such thing is bound to happen in the near future.” Aditya burst out in anger loudly.

“Please Aditya, You know how your father is. That’s the only thing he wishes for.” His mother replied, her voice filled with shock.

“I’ll give you one when the time is right.” he said.

He hung up, annoyed at the phone in his hands.

He knew his parents, especially his father and how he wanted him married and starting a family, but he needed time to heal after Pooja.

He glanced over his bed-side to his window, and saw it was still morning; he just couldn’t wait for Lunch time and get to some sun on his skin.

Flipping his body on the King-sized bed, he heard a knock on his door.

He pushed the door opened and he was not expecting what he saw.

He saw a girl looking up at straight in the eyes shyly smiling.

“Hello! I’m Zoya” she said.

She’s probably the maid from the cleaning service, wanting to check if he wanted extra towels or something. He thought to himself.

“Yes, how can I help you?”

“I’m Zoya Arora, nice to meet you.” she offered her hand for a friendly shake.

He examined her, something about the way she looked made a feeling rush through him, but he knew it’s was wrong cause he just lost his wife a few months ago.

She went straight to the point seeing her face inching a lot.

“I was told by the front desk that I will be in the adjoining room with you.” she said causing Aditya brow to narrow at her.

What the hell, why would he share a room with her.

“What the hell! I don’t think the staff would say that, it’s not proper for me to share a room with you.” he said pissed.

“Yeah I know, I don’t want to share a room with you either, but I have no choice and also it’s not the room it’s just the bathroom we share” she was feeling uneasy.

She wished he could just give her a chance to drop her heavy bags.

“I think I should phone front desk!” He said moving a little closer to where she stood.

Phones the front desk

“What! But…..he said tried to reason with the lady on the other end of the line but to no avail.

He was getting angry now, in fact he was angry. “But there’s other rooms in this Hotel put her, I need my privacy. But……” He hung up the phone angrily.

“I don’t want to share a room with anybody, not even you!!” he told her angrily.

She was terrified now because she knew he was angry already.

“I’m really sorry, I didn’t want this either.” she was irritated at the fact that she had time to do the confirmation but didn’t think the hotel would be fully booked.

She faced him trying to look at his face. His brown eyes were so intriguing with a hint of sadness behind all that anger.

“Mr. Hooda,” She said but he cut her short.

“Call me Aditya.” he said eyeing her slowly.

He looked at her; she was angelic to be precise.

She was looking very tired; her eyes said it all.

“Whether you want to or not, I will be sharing the bathroom with you. Just knock before you enter and then lock your door I’ll lock on my side” She said.

He shook his head at her. “I don’t think so.”

Zoya wasn’t expecting him to be so rude or unlike a good gentle man he looks. He’s a very handsome man, but she wasn’t expecting to see someone like him.

She looked over him peeping inside the room; she came nearer to the door where Aditya was standing.

The room was so big and beautiful, she looked at Aditya who had suddenly gotten quiet  when she had moved closer to where he was stood.

“Nice view. ” she said smiling at the room.

God! She is a young lady and a bit tall, but not has tall as he would like her to be. She looked tired and he knew it. It’s only a few days, it won’t be that bad, he thought to himself.

She looked up at him and frowned. When he said nothing. “Okay, thanks I’ll be on my way since you aren’t answering my question.”

He looked at her and gestured with a wink. “Don’t forget to lock”
