BB 16 contestant Nimrit Ahluwalia’s mother furious with VJ Andy mocking her daughter

Bigg Boss 16 is making all the buzz it can with the ongoing controversies. While the world inside the house is on fire, the world outside too is busy playing the blame game and protecting the ones they love. Contestant Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia’s mother Inderpreet Kaur is very upset and furious with former Bigg Boss contestant VJ Andy. The popular VJ was seen mocking NImrit in one of his videos. He can be seen calling her ‘Bhalu’ (bear), and Roti Sardarni in the videos as she has gotten emotional in the show quite a few times. All of this didn’t go down well with Nimrit’s mother.

In a conversation with ETimes TV, Nimrit’s mother expressed her disappointment and also stated that the way Andy is mocking the word ‘Sardarni’, he is targeting the entire Sikh community.

“Andy has always expressed his views about the contestants of Bigg Boss. Every year he does that, he has been a former contestant also. I always felt that he is someone who has a very progressive thinking who doesn’t believe in body-shaming, trolling someone for being insensitive. But what he is doing now is not comedy, I am sorry to say that in the pretext of doing comedy he’s hitting below the belt,” she said.

Nimrit’s mom, who is a principal at a school, is saddened with the content that Andy has made, “He is body shaming someone, taking a dig at someone’s career choices. The very fact that he has picked up Nimrit’s show’s name is in a very bad taste. It is one of the popular shows of the channel and successfully ran for a long time and Nimrit was proudly associated with it. The way he is mocking the word ‘Sardarni’ is targeting the entire Sikh community.”

She slammed him for resorting to cheap tactics to gain popularity, “I feel a person like Andy who is so popular in the industry should know his limits and should not resort to cheap tactics to gain popularity. I honestly feel by body shaming someone or the shows Nimrit has done if he thinks he can earn something sadly it doesn’t happen like that way. If you are pointing fingers at someone, there are four fingers pointing at you. All that he’s doing is in a very bad taste and I hope some sense prevails,” concluded she.
