Battle Scars…- RiAnsh Chapter 16 ‘Past Perfect’

Hii everyone! Hope you all are doing good. I am really confused from yesterday, are my writings really boring? I try to relate them…but I feeling low about all these things. 

Riddhima was in a small tent along with Jhalak who’s coming was a surprise for Riddhima. Now it was time to implement things, all the operating tools, band aids, some bulletproof jackets, 3-4 stretchers, bundles of cotton to wipe the wounds and much more.

Riddhima was busy with operating tools when a voice caught her attention. She stood at the door of the tent and found Kabir standing and talking to his fellow mates. Kabir too saw her and both passed each other a smile getting back to their work.

“Vansh!” Riddhima’s giggles were echoing in the empty room as Vansh swirled her in rounds.

Carefully making her sit on the chair, he sat on his knees and kissed Riddhima’s palms. Riddhima too cupped his face.

“You know…I am very happy for you.” Riddhima said kissing his forehead. “I am proud of my hero.” She completed with a chuckle.

“Really? And you know what…I am pretty sure you will be fulfilling your wish very soon.” Vansh said and kissed her forehead.

“I don’t think so..” Riddhima said sadly.

“I know Mr. Arrogant Gupta’s daughter Miss Ziddhima Gupta will make her parents agree for sure.” Vansh said and both of them giggled.

” You are the best I can ever get..” Riddhima said and they both hugged each other.

BOOM 💥

There came a missile landing on a truck with a loud noise creating a hustle all over. Riddhima was now under the table with some basics instruments in her hands. Here came some voices for a doctor and Riddhima rushed to see many things still happening and she rushed towards the soldiers who were keeping others safe.

Riddhima went to towards a soldier who was badly injured and hurriedly tied a piece of cloth in it and with help of others took her inside the tent. Removing the cloth, she was able to see some pebbles and glass pieces were stabbed in his hand which neede dto be taken out.

Asking for an anesthesia from Jhalak, she was going to inject when the soldier stopped him from doing se nodding in no.

“Let me feel the pain I am having for my country” He said.

“Don’t be mad. Don’t you want to fight?” Riddhima said.

He felt silent, and blinked in affirmation and Riddhima injected him. With the help of a tweezer she carefully took out the small pebbles and glass pieces from his arms and jhalak aided the wound.

The blasts were still happening, shouts were all over. One more troop of soldiers came with an unconscious soldier and Jhalak rushed with her stethoscope only to find he had stopped breathing. She looked at the soldiers and nodded in no, they were filled with different emotions and left taking him.

Jhalak went to Riddhima who was denying her tears to fall out and kept her hand on Riddhima’s shoulder. Riddhima looked at her and a loud voice shreiked… Everything blacked out.

“Will you cry I if I will die?” Vansh asked Riddhima and she covered his mouth. Vansh removed her hand and kissed her knuckles.

“Firstly you will not die and secondly I will not be alive to cr..” Riddhima was stopped to speak by Vansh’s hand covering her mouth. Riddhima took his hands and kissed his knuckles just like he did.

“If anything happens to you I will not be able to live Riddhima” Vansh said being angry.

“Even you know the truth. There is nothing that we don’t know. So let’s not talk about this and focus on what we are doing.ohk?” Riddhima said keeping her hand on his shoulder.

“Yes mam” Vansh said saluting her and they both giggled.

Vansh opened his eyes feeling thirsty. The missiles had stopped crashing and everyone was busy taking the dead bodies of some soldiers out.

He came out of the small pit his troops were hiding in and went to their base tent which was no more left.

“Sir you need to get this bullet out” Jai said to Vansh and he looked at his hand which was bleeding.

“It isn’t hurting, what’s hurting is my heart. But why?” Vansh’s heart wrenched with the different thoughts he had.

Looking at the bodies of the soldiers, anger was filled in him to torcher those people mercilessly and let them cry to their death.

” Even 3 doctors died”

Vansh stopped for a while listening to those words by a passerby, but continued to do his work which is not important than anything else.

“Brigadier Vansh, you are the second in charge of the group Delta. You will reporting to us everything that happens in the war.”

Vansh had a victorious smirk and nodded in yes.

“Ok!ok! Now listen. As they bottle stops the person sitting on both the ends will have to do the dare. The chit will be picked by the person who is towards the bottle’s ends.” Angre said cheerfully.

“Sure! Let’s start then” Ishani said rubbing her hands while Riddhima and Vansh were looking at each other.

A dark room, only some fairy lights shining placed in a circle and 4-5 people sitting inside.

“Wohoo! It’s Vansh and Riddhima!” Ishani hooted “so Vansh will pick the chit”

Vansh nodded picking up the chit, he started throwing glares towards Ishani while she smiled sheepishly.

“Come on Vansh Bhai. Tell the dare!” Ishani said in a teasing tone.

“Vansh.. what is it?” Riddhima too asked being curious.

“Have a kiss from your partner”

Riddhima’s cheeks turned red like a tomato as she started imagining things she didn’t want to. With a slight smile, she nodded in yes and both came forwards leaning to each other.

Touching their foreheads, they both grinned and Riddhima veryy softly kissed his cheek returning to her position.

“What!? No…” Ishani said like a child and Riddhima laughed.

“You didn’t say a particular place so…you know” Vansh said teasing her.

“I really wanted to see your first kiss” Ishani said.

“Let that day come na…why to force?” Angre said.

“Right…just like your day came?” Riddhima said teasing Ishani who had an O shape mouth.

“Did you see us kissing!!” Ishani nearly shouted and Riddhima laughed nodding in yes. “I will not leave you Riddhu..”

Ishani started running behind Riddhima to catch her and at last Riddhima hid behind Vansh making Ishani stop at her place.

“Bhaiya mere..rakhi ke bandhan ko nibhana..bhaiya mere…apni girlfriend ko zara sambhalna” Ishani said and RiVangre laughed at her song.

“You better not sing Ishani.” Angre said and she made a forced smile.

“Thanks Angre.(to Riddhima) next time I will not leave you if you play that joke again” Ishani said and Riddhima giggled.

“Means she didn’t see?” Angre asked..

“Yeah she didn’t. Let’s get back to the game” Ishani said moving back and Riddhima came out from Vansh’s backside..

Standing infront of her, Vansh slowly leaned and kissed her forehead taking her back towards the game.

Riddhima opened her eyes, and finding herself on the bed, she became worried that where she was. She touched her forehead and found a small bandage on it along with some scratches on her hands.

Getting up from the bed, she directly came out of the room and finding herself still in the warzone, she had a sigh of relief.

“Riddhima you are not well” Jhalak came and told her.

“No I am fine.. let’s get back to work” Riddhima said leaving from there.

“Kill anyone, kill the whole blo*dy pack of them. Just come back ok?” Riddhima said to Vansh kissing his knuckles.

“Can’t promise meri jaan. It’s just that…I love you.” Vansh said pulling her for a bone crushing hug kissing her forehead. And left.
