Ashok demands Shikhar apologize to Pandey, but Shikhar refuses. Ashok says he won’t let Shikhar stay in the house unless he apologizes. Shikhar, equally stubborn, decides he and his family will leave the house instead.
Anika arrives home with her siblings, shocked at the scene unfolding. Suman pleads with Ashok to let go of his stubbornness, pointing out that Shikhar is packing to leave. Ashok, adamant, says he can stay in the house alone if necessary, and tells Suman to leave with her son. She worries he can’t handle the heartbreak.
Meanwhile, Shikhar tells his children to pack their things. Avani begs him to reconsider, pointing out that everyone makes mistakes and that his parents never abandoned him for his. She argues that Pandey is more important to Ashok than Shikhar is, but Shikhar insists Ashok will be happy without him. Avani denies this, saying they’ll all be heartbroken without him. Shikhar tells her to support her husband rather than just being a dutiful daughter-in-law, then leaves when he gets a phone call.
Shagun realizes she must stop Shikhar from leaving to avoid taking on the household responsibilities herself. Krish tells Bittu that living with her favorite people forever isn’t possible. Later, Avani tends to Suman, who complains about not being able to find ingredients in the kitchen. Avani reassures her that she won’t give up control of her kitchen.
Shagun, pretending to be supportive of Avani, tries to convince her to get Shikhar to stay. Ashok criticizes Shagun, saying if she had acted this way in her own house, she wouldn’t be living here now. Avani defends Shikhar, saying his intentions for the family were good and he shouldn’t be taunted in front of the children. The children plead with Ashok to prevent the family from breaking apart. He asks Avani to prepare his favorite meal, hinting he may not have it again soon.
Shikhar searches for a new home, while Shagun emotionally appeals to her brother to help. Later, Shikhar asks Avani to serve food quickly. Seeing Ashok’s favorite dishes, he remarks they should enjoy it one last time before they leave. Suman offers Shikhar his favorite food, and Krish reassures her not to worry. Avani, seeing the tension, thinks that the elders can’t see the children’s pain. Both father and son stubbornly refuse to eat and leave the table.
Avani thinks of resolving this issue and gets an idea, she locks Ashok and Shikhar in a room together. They shout to be let out, and Avani insists she won’t allow the family to break up. Ashok and Shikhar argue, but Avani stands firm, saying she doesn’t care if the door or her head breaks. She’s lost her parents and won’t lose this family. The entire family sides with Avani in her effort to reunite them.
