Barrister Babu New Era Episode-4: Tapur spends good time with her Nephew and Niece.

The episode starts with Bondita happily saying, “Pati babu; Ma and Thakuma are coming here to celebrate Diwali with all of us. They also want to meet their grandchildren.”  Anirudh, Tapur and Tupur get ecstatic.  Tapur says, “Then we will have to do a lot of preparations.” Tupur says it would be the first Diwali in which Roy Choudhary and Das families will celebrate together.

But after a very few minutes of happiness, Bondita’s face turns pale.  She looks very worried.  Anirudh asks her, “What happened Bondita?  You look tensed??  Is everything okay????”   Bondita says, “Pati babu, Kakasasurji has gone outside for some work. He doesn’t know that we have brought Tapur and Tupur in the Haveli. What will happen if he comes to know about this??  Will he allow Tapur-Tupur to stay with us????” Anirudh keeps his hand on Bondita’s shoulder and says, “Don’t worry Bondita. I said na, I’ll talk to Kaka. He will definitely agree. You don’t need to be tensed.”   Bondita unwillingly nods.

Trilochan comes home. He is looking very happy.  He sits on the sofa.  He tells Bihari to call Anirudh and Bondita. Bihari goes to call Anidita in their room. Bihari doesn’t see Tapur and Tupur. Anidita ask Tapur and Tupur to take care of their babies till they come.  Anidita leave.

Anirudh and Bondita come to sit near Trilochan.  Trilochan says, “Anirudh beta, Bondita bahu, as you know that Diwali is coming in a few days;  so I have decided to keep the naming ceremony of my grandchildren on the same day!  Are you okay with it??”  Anirudh and Bondita happily agree to this.  Bondita says, “Kakasasurji, you know;  Ma and Thakuma are also coming to celebrate Diwali with us.”   Trilochan surprisingly says, “Whattttt???  Reallyyy??  Then it will be triple happiness.”  Trilochan holds his walking stick with both hands and pushes it against the floor.  (He is sitting on the sofa)   He looks up tilting his neck on the left side and softly says, “I’m missing Kallindi ji a lotttt..”  Anirudh asks, “What did you say kaka?”  Trilochan comes back to reality and says, “No.. nothing Anirudh. I was just saying that I’m missing those Khatti-Meethi baatein (Sour-Sweet talks)  of Kallindi ji.  Bondita also must be missing her Ma. So, it’s very good if they’re coming here.”  Bondita curiously asks, “But Kakasasurji, just now you said triple happiness. How triple happiness Kakasasurji???”

Trilochan laughs and says, “Arey Bahu, this Diwali will be celebrated by Das family and Roy Choudhary family together. So it’s double happiness.  And, my grandchildren will get beautiful names on the same day, so triple happiness..”

Anirudh and Bondita laugh at this.  Bondita says, “Correct Kakasasur ji!!”  Sampoorna, who is hearing their conversation;  gets happy and prays, “Hey Dugga Ma, always keep showering your blessings on both the families.”

All of a sudden, a very sweet and innocent voice of Shashwati rings in Bondita’s ears. Bondita looks back to see Shashwati standing behind her.  Shashwati says, “Bondita masi, I have brought some toys for my nephew and niece.”  She gives the toys in Bondita’s hands.  Bondita says, “These are very lovely toys Shashwati. Your nephew and niece will love it.  Thank you so much.”  Shashwati gives a bigggg smile and starts leaving.  But Trilochan stops her.

Trilochan says, “Shashwati, Anirudh is your dada, so Bondita will be your Boudi right?  Please don’t call her Masi. She was your Masi earlier. Now she has became your Boudi. So Beta, please call her Boudi.”  Shashwati makes a sad face so that the cute wrinkles on her forehead can be clearly seen.  She says, “But Kaka, Bondita Masi is my Masi, how can she become my Boudi??”  Trilochan tells her with a loving gesture, “Shashwati beta, your Somnath dada also calls Boudi to Bondita. You should also call her Boudi only.”  Shashwati is still confused.  But she sees that her friends are calling her for eating raw mangoes.  Shashwati’s mouth waters at the sight of raw mangoes.  She quickly says to Trilochan, “Okay Kaka, I’ll call her Boudi.”  And before Trilochan could say anything, Shashwati runs from there.

Trilochan says to Anidita, “Beta, have you thought of any names for your kids??”   Anirudh and Bondita together say, “We were about to ask you the same thing.”  Trilochan laughs and asks them to think of some names.  They nod.

In the night –

Bondita is taking Sampoorna somewhere.  Sampoorna panics and says, “Areyy Bondita, where are you taking me at this hour of night??”   Bondita says, “Shhhhhh… Just come with me Sampoorna ma. It’s a secret.”  Bondita and Sampoorna come to a room.  Bondita opens the door.  Sampoorna is shocked to see Anirudh and Tupur there.  Sampoorna shockingly says, “When did Tupur come here?”  Bondita asks Sampoorna to speak slowly. Anirudh tells the entire truth to Sampoorna. Sampoorna says, “Okay, but you both are here. So where are your twins??”  Tupur says, “They have slept. Tapur is taking care of them.”   Sampoorna asks, “Fine. But, will someone tell me why we are here???”  Anirudh says, “Sampoorna Ma, we are here to decide a cute and lovely name for our babies.”

Bondita says in an excited tone, “Look here everyone. I have an idea!  Here are two notebooks.  Me and Tupur will write names for our daughter in this 1st notebook.  And Pati babu & Sampoorna ma will write names for our son this 2nd notebook.  After that, Me and Tupur will decide a name for our son from this 2nd notebook.”  Bondita points towards Anirudh and Sampoorna while saying, “And you both will decide a name for our daughter from those written by us in this 1st notebook.”

“Is it fine?”, asks Bondita by raising her eyebrows. Everyone nods.

Anirudh and Sampoorna start thinking of boys’ names and they write. Bondita and Tupur write girls’ names.  Then they exchange the notebooks.  They read out all the names written by each other. But unfortunately, they don’t like any name.

Sampoorna gets tired and says, “I’m going now.  Shashwati’s baba is alone. You all continue.”  She leaves.

Tupur says, “I’m also very tired. Tapur is alone with the kids. I’m going now. You both continue.”   Bondita says, “Buttttt…”  Before she could complete, Tapur had left.

Bondita says to Anirudh, “Pati babu, I’m not getting any nice name. Now, you only suggest something.”   Anirudh says in a naughty tone, “Bonditaa.. whatever be our daughter’s real name, I’ll keep a nickname for her.”   Bondita curiously asks, “What nickname Pati babu?”

Anirudh says, “Badmash (Naughty)”

Bondita folds her hands puffs her cheeks.

Meanwhile in Anidita’s room –

Tapur is playing with Anidita’s baby girl. The baby boy is sleeping peacefully as usual.  The window of the room is open.   Tapur says to herself, “I  should take the baby near the window.  Maybe she’ll sleep in the cold air as it’s very hot in this room.”

Tapur takes the girl near window.  A man is passing by Roy Choudhary Haveli. He sees Tapur cuddling the baby girl.

The man runs to the villagers and tells them, “Listen, listen, I saw that impure girl playing with Roy Choudhary’s babies.”  Villagers ask him, “Which impure girl??”  The man tells about Tapur.

Another man says, “How can Jamindaar Trilochan babu allow that stained girl to touch his grandchildren?”

Third man says, “Maybe he doesn’t know that the girl is in Roy Choudhary Haveli, otherwise he would’ve thrown her out of the Haveli.”

Fourth man says, “Then we should inform Trilochan babu about this.”

Everyone says, “Yes, yes, we must tell him about this.”

They start heading towards Roy Choudhary Haveli.  But suddenly, it starts raining.   Villagers start running here and there for shelter.  One man says, “We will go there tomorrow.  Let’s go home.”  Everyone agrees and go to their homes.

Tupur comes to Anidita’s room.  Tapur is trying to close the window because of rain. Tupur helps her.  They are trying to make the baby girl sleep.  They’re singing lullaby for her.

In the mean time, Bondita has puffed her face.

She says, “Pati babu, how can you say like that for my cute little daughter. She’s very lovely. I know my daughter is a bit naughty, but that doesn’t mean you can call her by such name.”

Anirudh says, “Ye kya laga rakha hai Bondita?? (What’s this Bondita?) My daughter, my daughter???”  He tries to imitate Bondita’s voice in a funny way while saying the second line.

“Isn’t she my daughter as well??” asks Anirudh.

Bondita says, “If she is your daughter also, then why did you call her Badmash???  I won’t talk to you now.  I don’t want to see the face of such a person who calls my daughter as Badmash.”  Saying this, Bondita again puffs her cheeks and turns away from Anirudh.

Anirudh and Bondita are so lost in talking with each other that they aren’t aware of the outside rain.

Breaking the silence of the room, there comes a very loud voice of thunder.  Bondita gets scared hearing the thunder and she hugs Anirudh tightly.  It again thunders.   Bondita tightens her grip.  Anirudh also reciprocates.  Teri ore, teri ore song plays…

The lightening stops. Bondita gets away from Anirudh. She again puffs her face.  Anirudh comes behind Bondita and kisses on her puffed cheek.  Bondita shies and runs away, but she stumbles and is about to fall when Anirudh catches her.  They have an eyelock.

Bondita gets up; but by mistake, she keeps her hand on a plate full of red coloured powder. The coloured powder falls on Anirudh and Bondita due to the wind🌬.  Both of them become red because of the powder.  They burst into laughter by looking at each other.

Teri ore stops playing.  RTM plays. (Dur par tera saaya hai mujhpe)  while Anidita are laughing.

In the morning –

Some villagers enter in Roy Choudhary Haveli. They call out to Trilochan. A man asks him how he can allow an impure girl to enter in Roy Choudhary Haveli who was tried to be molested. Another man says, “And Jamindaar babu, how can you allow that stained girl to touch your grandchildren??  She was playing with them.”   Trilochan gets very angry after hearing this.

The episode ends.

PRECAP :-

Trilochan angrily shouts, “Who brought that impure and stained girl in our home??  Throw her out.  Bondita is asking the villagers to stop mocking Tapur.  Tapur comes out in a bold and fierce look.  She says, “Let them say anything Bondita didi. I won’t get hurt by their words anymore. You have ignited the fire of bravery inside me. I won’t stop now. Today I have answers to all their questions.”
