Barrister Babu New Era Episode-2: Grand Puja At RC Haveli.

The episode starts with Trilochan calling everyone for Puja. He says, “Come fast everyone. Panditji must be here at any time.”   Sampoorna says, “Ji Jethji, I’m coming with Shashwati and kids.”   Anirudh and Bondita also say that they’re coming in a few minutes.

Meanwhile in Anidita’s room:-

Anirudh is looking at himself in the mirror. His messy hairs are waving in the air just like the swaying of a handsome peacock’s feathers.   He has worn a beautiful purple colored sherwani and golden dhoti.   He asks, “How am I looking Bondita?”

Anirudh turns back to see beautiful and gorgeous Bondita standing in front of him. He gets mesmerized by her look. She has worn a beautiful pink coloured saree.  Anirudh stares at her.

Bondita waves her hand in front of his face and says, “Pati babu, Pati babuuu..”    Anirudh smiles.  He says, “Bondita, you’re looking very gorgeous today!!”  Bondita blushes☺ and says, “Thank you Pati babu.”

Anirudh says,  “Arey Bondita, I was asking you how I am looking today??”   By hearing this, Bondita starts laughing.   Anirudh makes a sad face and asks, “Bondita, do I look like a joker that you’re laughing at me????” Bondita says, “No no Pati babu, not joker,  you’re looking like a bandar(monkey).”  Anirudh puffs his cheeks and asks, “Haaaannnn???”

Then Bondita smiles and says, “I didn’t mean that Pati babu.  I meant that your hairs are jumping in the air just like monkeys jump from one tree to another tree.”   She picks up a comb and starts combing his messy hairs.  Then she says, “Hmmm… now you’re looking like my Hero babu!” Both smile.

Anirudh says, “Come, let’s go.”  Bondita says, “No pati babu, please wait a minute. I’m coming.”  But before Anirudh could utter a word, Bondita disappears from there.

Bondita comes with something in her hand.  She says, “Pati babu, your sherwani seems incomplete without this brooch.”  In the mean time, she makes him wear the brooch. She smiles and says, “Now it’s completely perfect Pati babu.”  Anirudh thanks her.   They go to pick up their babies.  But to their astonishment, their little babies are already awake and the cute munchkins are smiling.  Anirudh and Bondita lift the babies and go down.

Guests are coming.  All the villagers arrive.  Trilochan and Sampoorna are welcoming them.  Panditji arrives with Brahmins.  Trilochan says, “Come come Panditji, we were waiting for you only.”

Panditji asks, “Jamindaar babu, where are your son and daughter-in-law?  And where are your grandchildren???”  Trilochan calls Anirudh and Bondita.  Anidita come and take blessings of Panditji.  Panditji blesses them and their little babies.  Panditji says, “Let’s start the puja.  Shubhmahurat(auspicious time)  is getting passed.”  Trilochan nods his head saying yes.

Panditji sits to start the puja. Shashwati and kids come to sit there.  Sampoorna sits beside them.  Trilochan looks at the pooja samagri(materials)  and says, “Everything is here. But where is shankh(conch)??”  He shouts, “Bihari, bring the shankh fast… Don’t you understand, puja can’t complete without a shankh???”  Bihari scratches his head and says, “Hannn, I’m bringing Malik.”  Trilochan says, “Faaassssttttt..”  Bihari brings the conch.

Trilochan says, “Now everything is here. And all family members are also here. Please start the puja Panditji.”

Panditji is about to start when suddenly Bondita gets up and says, “Wait Panditji…  This puja can’t happen…..”

Everyone gets shocked!  All the guests start murmuring among themselves.

Trilochan asks, “What are you saying bahu??”  Bondita says, “Yes Kakasasurji. I’m saying that this puja can’t happen.”

Sampoorna gets up and says, “But why Bondita?  What happened???”

Bondita says, “It can’t happen because all family members aren’t here.”  Everyone look at each other.  Bondita gives the baby which is in her hands to Sampoorna and goes from there.

She comes back with Binoy. She smiles and says, “Now all the family members are here.”  Bondita makes Binoy sit and takes her baby from Sampoorna.  Bondita turns to Panditji and says, “Panditji, you can start the puja now.”

Panditji starts the puja.  He chants the mantras.  Anirudh and Bondita throw the offerings in the Havankund(Holy fire)  after chanting the mantras.  RTM plays.  (Rasmon ka mela yahaan par khel rahe hain saare…)   Panditji plays the shankh.  Puja gets completed.

Anidita serve food to Panditji and the Brahmins.  They all enjoy the food.

After eating, Panditji says to Trilochan, “Now we are departing Jamindaar babu.  Give us permission to go.”  Trilochan says, “Thank you so much Panditji for coming in our Haveli and performing all the puja rituals. Please bless our family.”  Panditji blesses the Roy Choudhary family and goes with the other Brahmins.

All of a sudden, Shashwati comes to Bondita.  She makes a sad face and says in a very innocent voice, “Bondita Masi, I’m very confused.”  Bondita asks her, “Why Shashwati?  What happened??”  Shashwati looks at the baby boy in Bondita’s arms and says, “Bondita masi, you’re my Masi and Anirudh dada is my dada.”  Bondita also gets confused and says, “Yes Shashwati, so what is confusion in this?”

Shashwati says, “It is the biggest confusion Masiiii…  See, if you’re my Masi then this baby will be my brother.  And if Anirudh dada is my dada then this baby is my nephew.  So when these babies will grow up, what will they call me??  Shashwati didi or Shashwati masi???”

Bondita laughs at this and says, “Shashwati, they can call you anything. You’re their cute-loving didi also, and you’re their sweet-lovely masi also.  Whatever they may call you, but your love for them will never decrease, right??”  Shashwati smiles and says, “No Bondita Masi, neverrr….  I’ll always always love them a lottttttt.”

Then Bondita asks, “Sooo.. Is the confusion cleared now???”   Shashwati gets happy and says, “Yes Bondita Masi, thank you so much☺!”  She goes to play with the other kids.

It’s night.

The moon shines.

Anirudh is taking food for Binoy.  Sampoorna comes and says, “You leave it Anirudh. I’ll give him food. You go in your room. Bondita is alone with the kids.”  She comes near Anirudh and forwards her hands to take the food plate.  But Anirudh moves the plate back.  He says, “No Sampoorna Ma.  From today, only I’ll give food and medicines to baba. I’ve promised him. I won’t let him be sad now. Now, only his son will give him food. After giving him food and medicines, I’ll go to my room.”  Sampoorna says, “But Anirudhhh….”  Before she could complete, Anirudh had gone.

Anirudh comes to Binoy.  He feeds food to Binoy.  Then he makes Binoy eat the medicines.  Binoy gets very happy and says, “You’re very good Anirudh. You feed me with so much of love. Thanks a lot.”  Anirudh smiles and says, “Baba, please take rest now.”  Anirudh makes Binoy lay on the bed.  He covers Binoy with a blanket.  Binoy sleeps.

Anirudh gets teary eyes by looking at Binoy and says, “Baba, I wish I could tell you that you have became a grandpa.”

Anirudh goes from there.  Sampoorna is looking on.  She also gets emotional.

Anirudh comes to his room.

Bondita is making the kids sleep. Anirudh goes towards her. Bondita keeps her index finger on her mouth and says in a very soft voice, “Shhhhhhhh….  Speak slowly Pati babu.  Kids are sleeping.”  Anirudh also says in a very low voice, “Oh ok ok Bondita.”

Bondita takes a deep breath and says, “Husshhh!! Finally, she slept.”  Bondita turns towards Anirudh and says, “You know Pati babu?  It took almost an hour to make our little daughter sleep.”  While saying this, she keeps her left hand on her forehead.

Anirudh says, “Yes Bondita, she’s naughty.”

Bondita widens her eyes and says, “Naughty?  She is very very verryyy naughty!!!”

Anirudh says, “Just like you Bondita”

Bondita widely opens her mouth and puts both her hands on her waist. Then she points index finger towards Anirudh and says, “No, she’s very naughty like you Pati babu.”

Anirudh says, “Nooo.. like you”.

Bondita says, “Like you”.

Anirudh : “Like you Bondita.”

Bondita : “No, like you Pati babu.”

They both argue for some time.

Then, both Anirudh and Bondita together say, “Just like us. Yes, our lil daughter is naughty like us.

Both laugh.

Anirudh says, “Bondita, have you thought of any name for our kids?”  Bondita says, “Mmmmm… Not yet Pati babu. Have you decided any name??”  Anirudh says, “Bondita, I haven’t thought of anything. That’s why I’m asking you na.”  Bondita says, “But Pati babu, Kakasasurji was saying that he is going to keep a naming ceremony for our babies.”   Anirudh says, “Maybe kaka has thought of some name.” Bondita says, “Pati babu, we should also think of some names. What do you say?”  Anirudh gets excited  and says, “Great idea!!”  They scratch their heads and start thinking.

Anirudh is about to say a name when someone knocks on their door.

Bondita goes and opens the door.

Somnath enters their room and runs towards the sleeping babies. He is very excited to see his nephew and niece. He says in a loud voice, “Hi my cute little nephew and niece, see your chachu is here!”

Bondita stops him and says, “Som dada, som dada, please please please don’t go near them. They’ll wake up. Your niece is very very naughty.  She doesn’t sleep easily.  I have made her sleep with a lot of efforts. Please speak softly.”  Somnath says, “But Boudi, I want to see them. And….”   Anirudh interrupts, “Som, you can see them tomorrow also. Please let them sleep today. They aren’t going anywhere, they’ll remain here only. You can meet them in the morning.”  Somnath gets sad and leaves from there.

Anirudh looks at the wall clock. It’s 11:30 pm.   He says, “Bondita, we should also sleep now. It’s very late.”  Bondita nods. They go to sleep.

It’s morning

The rising sun is shown.

Bondita gives tea to Trilochan. She’s holding Anirudh’s coffee in her hand and is heading towards Anidita’s room. Anirudh is in their room.

Suddenly, a shadow is shown on the door of Roy Choudhary Haveli. The shadow is moving inside the Haveli.

The episode ends.
